@@natchu96 What are you talking about? Siegfried is plenty good against dragon enemies. Especially considering additional additive multiplier on NP + the ridiculously high special modifier of up to 80% that comes with a mana burst as well, he deals incredibly high damage against dragon enemies. Its Sieg who doesnt really do well because most dragon enemies are riders and assassin dragon trait enemies are rare: not to mention unlike Siegfried he doesnt have that high special mod. When it comes to anti-dragon, Siegfried is unparalleled: not even Sigurd can outdo Siegfried in that aspect. This isnt me saying that Siegfried's a top tier saber but in his niche he is extremely effective, being able to dish out high damage while having tanky defense against dragon enemies

Sieg's writing is a lot better in FGO, so I hope some of the memes about him will start to die off once he comes to NA.
His focus on being a farming caster actually seems great to me since I absolutely despise assassin nodes in any event. I have Nursery, CasGil, and Helena, but they're all only at NP1 and unreliable in anything that doesn't have an insignificant amount of HP. Yes, I know there's Halloween Eli, but charging her NP is a pain in the ass.
Sieg coming at NP5 with a pre-damage def down sounds like an incredible breath of fresh air.

I used Sieg as part of my brute force Arts frontline team against Aphrodite.
Aphrodite didn't stand a chance.

I think your rating makes sense, Servants should be rated based on their ability to perform in their main role.
Well, this is certainly a surprise, lol. I was expecting to see Chiron's Spotlight next, but I'm happy to see Sieg's Spotlight either way. ^_^ To be honest, I do like Sieg a lot; specifically because I personally love Arts Teams, I can see myself using him a lot, since Arts Teams are all about NP Looping as much as possible, which I love doing when it comes to any kind of content I get from FGO. ^_^ Also, I have plenty of ways to have him NP Loop, if not NP Spam, when it comes to all of the Servants I have in my Roster, and where I know this is a generic choice of Servant to mention to pair up with Sieg, I most certainly Will be pairing him up with Merlin; ever since Babylonia when I fought Gorgon the first few times, and I paired the Support Merlin from the Story with 4 Star Nero and Mash And getting Nero to the point of using her NP LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE TURN, I just wanna re-create that scenario with Any other Arts Servant in the Game and enjoy them NPing Every Turn!!! So, I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on Sieg and make him Hard Core NP Loop!!! lol ^_^

What I think he need the most is a strengthening quest that let his 3rd skill ignore class disadvantage. Similarly to Semiramis. Cuz, you know, most dragon are Riders. And they eat Casters for breakfast. Doesn’t matter how people talk about Sumanai, at least he isn’t handicapped against the one thing that he’s supposed to be excelled at killing.
Not really caring much for his character isn't the big thing for me. The biggest issue for me is that a farming Caster...is the last thing I need. For others I'm sure he'll be a very nice pickup. For me though...I'll probably never use him. Well maybe if I ever get bored of using Caster Nero, Anastasia, Helena, Nitocris, Caster Gil, etc. He can take it easy and just not do anything.

FlareKnight to be fair he’s a free np5 meaning he can hit much harder than most of the ones you listed not on top of being able to be used in CQs as your main dps
Clause Tamaki Of the ones listed I think he’s also the most reliable NP looper (and for the community the most accessible by far!).

@@georgeabreu6392 Not only is he the most reliable but also the most efficient compared to the ones FlareKnight told. Just max his NP gain and NP battery. You only need kscope and arts supports to make him NP loop.
I already have Anastasia, so there’s no need for me to get Sieg. However, I actually still really want him because I like his character. For a emotionless homunculus who was only born a few ago he’s a pretty interesting guy.
Plus I’m a huge dragon fan, so I really like his NP.

@@amari7782 With the same buffs (self + 2 wavers), NP5 Sieg does the same damage as my NP2 lvl 100 Helena (~37k neutral on average), as long as her 2nd skill fails to activate. Otherwise, she does about 16-20k more. Both would comfortably clear most 2nd waves, but Helena provides stuff to the team, so she's more valuable in general.

@@kundatrix Well, that's Sieg's niche. He can loop and clear semi-tough assassin/dragon/zerker 3rd waves.
On the other hand, Helena's "niche" is to buff, charge, and do enough damage to clear any wave 1-2 (that isn't just a giant dragon) which is universally good.

He should also be pretty good in challenge quests that throw tons of Berserkers or Assassins at you for the same reasons he's a good farmer: High spammability and pretty good damage once you've buffed him with a Tamamo. Doesn't even need to be your own, although I can definitely see him become a monster with a double Tama setup. Basically the classic "kill them before they kill you".

Guys, the Apoc rerun was just recentlyly in JP, so burning the cardboard would lose you 5 rare prism once the rerun back in NA. I suggest put him in the second archive, not lv him or something. 5 rare prism worth a lots and you have to deal with the ascension he leaves behind too.
Burn him after that should be fine.
@@zachshield5187 Yep, they don't. But from LB3 onwards if you already played the event and have the welfare, then the rerun of that event in the future will give you 5 RP. Or that's what I heard from jp players

Rods' Retroplays not the same reason really for me, apocrypha was kinda my introduction to fate, (watched a fate zero episode before I couldn’t get attached to it, prob because I didn’t really know what was going on oops) after watching it, I watched the other fate stuff and went looking for a game for fate. Surprisingly, there was a apocrypha release banner and did a single summon on it and got my first non guaranteed SR, Astolfo.
@@minomax3229 zero was a really good watch for me, even more so after watching unlimited blade works and how it all connects together. Iskandar, Waver, Gilgamesh, and saber wearing a suit were what made me stick to zero along with Kiritsugu's ideology to become a hero of justice. I still need to watch apocrypha before this event drops tho 😂

As someone who have not watched Apocrypha, I'm actually interested in seeing what he can bring to the table. Well, one of my very few SSRs is Caster Nero NP1, so I might have a case of a jealous empress on my hands (there, there, you're doing great), but still.

Excellent F2P option for what constitutes 85% of this game - very nice. I have NP2 Caster Umu, but a great farming Arts Caster will be welcomed without hesitation and Tamamo will be a great compliment here.
I only want him for collection purposes, other than that he'll stay at level 1 in my second archive.NP5 Nitocris,NP2 Caster Nero and now Anatasia has me covered for AOE Casters. I'll make servants work if I like the character but I can't with Sieg. Maybe someone else will use him.

Please first play the event before making any clear ultimatums, the Apo event legitimately gave Sieg a ton of much needed character development that has made him a much better character in many people's eyes. If afterwards you still dislike him then that's alright too but I'd recommend giving him at least the one chance.
I won't speak for everyone but I have a NP4 Beowulf who's been at level 1 since my first year of playing but I have NP3 9/9/9 Penth & NP5 9/9/9 Atalanta because I like their character. Medusa & Bedi are leveled for the same reason, rarity doesn't matter.
@@VetoShizu I get that, though I personally have ALL of my Servants leveled (Day 1 player privilege).
Me personally I've never really cared about Atalanta either in Apo or Fgo (she was okay in LB1) and I only really use my own Pent for her buffs (I'd rather use my np4 Ibaraki since she's my favorite waifu) whereas I really like Beowulf since he was my first good st Berserker and really saved my ass during the months before Ibaraki's debut.
I prioritize servants I like over the ones I hate so it's likely Sieg will never see 1 ember on my account lol. Banana Oni is pretty good so can't blame you on that one. I honestly doubt the event will change my mind since the only servants from Apocrypha I cared for were Astolfo & Mordred, the saviors of that anime for me. Atalanta I didn't care for until FGO and as I said in my original comment Nitocris (the reason I started FGO) has me covered.
Thanks for the info. I was saving up quartz for the Apocrypha event because I wanted Achilles as a farmer, but I rather roll for Xuanzang.
...not that it stopped me from a 30 quartz roll an hour before this video was published, bringing her and three Go West CEs to my lineup, hahaha.

This guy's totally gonna get added to my arts team. I already use Andersen, Caster Gil, and my friends op Tam to make everything assassin related ez mode, this guy will make it even easier, since now ill have some actual damage.

Aside from the bitchin np, sieg... I'll max out but i don't need a farming caster. Anastasia already has that locked down, sieg most likely will be benched until I get around to ascending him. That said, looking forward to the fate Apocrypha event! It was the anime that got me into the Fate series so the anime will hold a sentimental place aside from quality of the anime, I'm happy it got me into the series
Good review, I definitely will get him NP5 lvl80 as every welfare servant, but don't think that I'll use him much, I have Nero Caster & Nitocris, so I don't see him in any of my farming teams atm.
It pains me to admit it, but Cardboard kun is a pretty good servant.
After finally watching all of Fate/Apocrypha for the first time a while back, I'm really happy and excited to be able to have Sieg later on, and him being Arts makes the deal even sweeter, thankfully I have a decent bulk of Arts support to make him as strong as I, hopefully can, make him to be.

Even if you don't like him and don't hava any intention to lvl him up don't burn him. Now in JP Welfare servant give Rare prism i you already 5 copies of the welfare. And for F2P they are very rare so don't burn him and in two years you will have 5 RP
It’s honestly hilarious people are boasting about wanting to burn Sieg yet are actually forgoing future free rare prisms due to this. Even if he wasn’t one of the best Arts based NP loopers(and farmer by extension), it’s kind of hilarious.
I really need a farming caster after completely maxing out Helena(Bond 10 included) and CasGil is nearly Bond 10 as wel, so Sieg will be an excellent addition to my team.

I intend to put him with Jeanne and grail him; Not just out of spite, but because I think she'll be good at keeping hm alive alongside Mash. Plus I can also put Tamamo in to heal him as well.
So I dropped Apocrypha halfway through, so I didn’t have to deal with whatever bullshit everyone had to go through with Sieg that made them despise him lol. So I guess he’s safe from the second archive/burning haha.
More seriously, I’ll probably get a lot of use put of him. I do have Caster Nero, Nitocris, and an NP 2 Nursery Rhyme, but if he’s as good as an NP looper as you say he is then he’s probably a better option than them for more efficient farming.
IMO NP charge > NP gain > Arts boost. Having the charge + gain maxed first greatly stabilizes farming while the arts boost mostly comes in handy in wiping out a hard 3rd wave or to help wipe turn 2 if you need extra np gain. It's not the highest priority if you're farming...
Though i suppose it depends on what units you have.

Neither of those things actually have anything to do with Alterego qualifications specifically, though they can certainly contribute to qualifying in some ways...but even that was the case of a pseudo-servant.
The artificiality and multi-origin aspect of Melt and Lip is more due to how they were made, which is itself the reason for their class. So one doesn't justify the other; they correlate due to having a common cause.
I'm hyped. I love his np is to become a dragon. Don't mind the fact it's free caster dps either~
I had a bunch of spare embers, so on a whim I decided to raise him out immediately after I got him. Unfortunately I ran out of dragon fangs after skilling up some other servants, so I only have him at 4/4/4, but even then, he is perfectly capable of 3T looping both hands and doors with a non-MLB Scope, Waver, Bride, and Tamamo. Kind of steep, as far as requirements go, but I figure he is going to do better at higher skill levels.
Finally!
He's my premiere 3T caster servant ever since I got him in JP. Pair him up with Paracelsus, Tamamo, and a suitable Mystic code (or Waver/any arts support) and he'll be clearing assassin waves easily. Not good when trying to 3T against berserkers though, for obvious reasons.
Battle in New York is the next lotto. Sieg/Jeanne Archer(lol the irony), para, waver, waver is the usual comp. It's a 5 slot, 3 turn comp that allows sieg/Jeanne to loop and hit two waves.
Essentially, don't burn this guy. If you have a waver /skadi on your account, you essentially have a 3 turn comp to farm the lotto to the max.
Edit: IT WORKS ON ALL LOTTO NODES IN GILFEST. Seriously, wait before burning him.

Its kind of sad tbh. I started JP after their rerun of this event 😅. Idk if I want to go full JP since I started NA last month and I don't know if I can play two FGOs while dealing with school. Maybe I'll just do both and hope I can manage. I really want the welfares but at the same time that may just be because I want them and not need them.
It is worth it to invest in Sieg, he is your only loop farming caster until Murasaki. But even then Murasaki is a premium unit, and you need her at NP2+ to reliably tri-loop more tanky mob.
albeit storylocked, another support great for sieg, is asclepius, as it gives a 20% battery, a np gain buff and gives in other situations outside of farming, survival options to sieg, in a strong heal, debuff clear, debuff resist, invuln and guts, albeit his np gain buff is smaller than paracelsus, it allows too for as secondary unit to also use np and refund if necessary, so it allows for more flexibility in team comps

I think I would rate cardboard-kun an A-, but that is probably because I am a GSSR Only that needs an arts looper. So, I think the description of his use case spot on, I just value that niche more.
I personally would have put him a rank higher, Sieg is kinda like the Rider Kintoki of the AoE Servants, he only has one real niche to use, his kit is horrendously selfish and he lacks any true survivability but my god does that one application give him such vast amounts of usage that he can easily become anyone's MVP when used properly.

Merlin with sieg is broken. His survivable is amazing. With merlin’s skill, he gets his np gauge up and gets a significant health boost. With merlin’s invincible, they can survive a np attack to continue np looping. And with merlins np, it will become a cycle of np spamming the longer the fight continues which is absolutely amazing. Plus depending on your master equip, it gets even better. Just the base mystic code: chaldea allows for one evade (use it to defend against a np, while merlins skill cool down) and then you have first aid to give someone the health needed until Merlin’s skill/np get to work

There are some servants that got amazing buffs that I'd love to see their analyses updateds, like Gorgon with the stargather buff or Beowulf with the insting upgrade!
Hell, all instinct upgrades are worth mentioning, especially Mordred, that got ridiculously buffed :V
I plan to do a re-review of Mordred first and then probably some more after the Apoc event
I need a good farming caster. Farming ice in LB1 is taking a while with NP3 Raikou, Waver and KScope Nitocris
He helps during apocrypha where there are assassin class dragons to farm, there thats his niche summed up
Free cardboard caster farmer in case of assassin waves. I'm already not a big fan of him from the anime but welfare servants after Caster Liz are usually good for something and Sieg can at least fill some role, not to mention so long as you attend their event you can easily get them to NP5 for massive damage (and he just so happens to be best at spamming his own NPs). At the very least he's worth picking up so Helena doesn't get too many bond points from Exp Hand Farming or anywhere a caster would be helpful. However, most farming areas I feel just need a servant you enjoy using, single target NP or otherwise, Edison isn't the best for farming but he satisfies the role of caster with character.
