Lyrics: This time if you want me to come back, it's up to you But remember I won't allow the things you used to do You're gonna have to toe the mark and walk the line This time will be the last time This time if I should feel unwanted, I won't stay Each tomorrow will depend on the love you give today It's all up to you to keep in mind This time will be the last time This time should be anything like the other times This time will be the last time If this time should be anything like the other times This time will be the last time
Baddassest Badass Kat of pure ass Badassery of all TIME!! I shed tears for this man the day He Left the building.... And the hills are alive with the sound Waymore for Evermore. “Oh Hoss,,,, the night I heard you were gone, I stayed up and Drank and played your Records all night Long”
That baritone in his voice was so smooth and masculine. What a voice. I envy his voice. What a great artist. Very well missed and he kicked ass very well in his time. Very well. Rip hoss.
@@Jcush21 what cracks me up is that I heard on an interview with Kenny Vaughn that Waylon absolutely loved Mooney but Mooney was kinda indifferent towards Waylon 😂
@@wyattheitkamp55 Ok this is interesting to me. Firstly I do not doubt Kenny Vaughan said this however sometimes people misunderstand old school southern boy humor. Mooney was from I think Oklahoma and everyone knows Waylon’s sense of humor he’d call Willie Nelson slow even though they were good friends. I’m not saying Vaughan definitely misunderstood Mooney in comments about Waylon but it’s highly likely in my opinion. Mooney spent a lot of time with Waylon recording and playing live, you do not do that if you don’t like the other person.
@@averydaymond1560 yeah that’s kinda what I was thinking too. I worded my comment a little weird looking back at it. What you said makes a lot of sense i’m an Okie myself and my friends and family kinda joke around the same way
Love the music. Love the song. The way he's jamming that telecaster. My one complaint is when he get going on it the video goes to Mooney like he's the one playing that. Anyway.....been a Waylon fan for many, many years. I know who made that song #1.. God Bless Y'all!!
21 Years today since Waylon's passing and he's still my favorite singer. Nobody better has come along yet. After all this time, his music is still a blessing to my ears, my soul... my every day. I guess the old Johnny Paycheck/George Jones song "Nothing Better Once You've Had the Best" applies to music, too.
I really like Logan Ledger, he's a new guy who really has that old timeless sound. Maybe not as legendary as Waylon but I think his son produced his last album. Is really good if your looking for something new. X
In spite of the drink and drugs, the early '70s seem to be one of his strongest periods of music. The live recordings from this era are so good in so many ways.
Best musician ever...I mean ever....he said what he meant and kicked butt if anyone didn't like it....plus good looking....wowsee....was he ever good looking......
I got to see Waylon's last public performance. It wasn't scheduled. He was attending a benefit concert in Florence, Al for his buddy, The Leaning Man, Donnie Fritts along with Delbert McClinton, Kris Kristofferson, Billy Swan, Lee Roy Parnell, Tony Joe White, Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham. Jennings sat in a chair to the side of the stage. Near the end of the show, singer/songwriter/musician, Wayne Chaney talked Waylon into getting on the stage. He could no longer walk. His buddies helped him onto the stage and he sat in a chair where they brought him a guitar and a mic. While they hooked him up, he grumbled about not expecting this and quite a few expletives. Finally Kris said, " Come on Waylon, tone it down a little bit. A lot of these people are Church folk who came for Donnie." Waylon said, " well hell why didn't you remind me before I made a bleeping bleep hole outa myself?" Kris said, "We would have but you wouldn't shut up!" As the crowd and musicians were laughing it up, you could still hear Waylon swearing in a low voice as he tuned the guitar. Unfortunately, for the life of me, I can't remember what song they closed with. It may have been Luckenbach, Texas. My memories not too good after almost 19 years but I do know it was a great show and Donnie is still alive and kicking, thanks to his long-time pardners in crime.
I always really thought Waylon's drummer stood out. He had a really unique sound and feel that was completely different for country music. He hit hard, too- like a rock drummer.
As a kid in the 70s I'd sing harmonies with Waylon records. It's how I learned to sing. I later was a soloist in concert choir in high school and sang lead and played lead guitar in a couple rock bands later on.
Good to see this. The guy playing the 12 string is one of my best friends Larry Whitmore. May you rest in peace Bro. Thanks for putting up for us to see.
Sometimes I think this is a perfect country song. So few words, so much happening. A song a lot of people would think is simple… But try to write something like this, and then sing it with this kind of authority. Even when Waylon didn’t write the song, once he sang it, it was his.
Never a sound like him Before or since his time! He had to fight the system all the way to get to do things his own way. Musicians may not realize it but they all owe a huge debt to Waylon for what he done for the artists ever since he fought and won over the system.
Lyrics:
This time if you want me to come back, it's up to you
But remember I won't allow the things you used to do
You're gonna have to toe the mark and walk the line
This time will be the last time
This time if I should feel unwanted, I won't stay
Each tomorrow will depend on the love you give today
It's all up to you to keep in mind
This time will be the last time
This time should be anything like the other times
This time will be the last time
If this time should be anything like the other times
This time will be the last time

Still listen in 2023 to a legend
Still listening to Waylon just now the date the 10th of May 2024 , 6PM our time in SCOTLAND, REGARDS ELIZABETH. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
For about 15 years Waylon was the coolest cat in country music … for about 10 of those years he was the coolest cat on the planet.
Your right
Til he died he was the coolest !
Absolutely
He still is the coolest
Is. Was. Always will be.
Waylon made better music after being awake for days than some people after a good night sleep.
Most of the good ones did the same I figure
Him and Keith
Quality cocain makes you feel like you've had a good night's sleep.
Amen
Waylon most likely had more awake hours in his 63 years of life than most people do at 80 .
Great guitar playing at the end ol Waylon had a sound of his own and put the balls in country music the real deal
This level of cool will never be in country music again... Waylon was the real deal...
Jukebox,I agree with ya 100%, Nobody will ever come close to Waylon!
this level of cool may never be seen again. Period.
Amen..
He really lays to shame all of these earring wearing, auto tuned, makeup wearing Nashville pop artists they call Country these days, doesn't he?
Baddassest Badass Kat of pure ass Badassery of all TIME!!
I shed tears for this man the day He Left the building....

Pick it Moon!!!😊😊😊😊
Waylon was the epitome of redefining how Real Country Music was meant to be recorded and performed. One of a kind without equal.
They call that Swagger. Now days they don't know what it means, you can't be an American Icon like Jennings without Swagger.
So true. Swagger! Love Waylon❤
There will never be anyone like Waylon who will walk the earth again. His legacy lives on for many generations!
amen to that hoss
That baritone in his voice was so smooth and masculine. What a voice. I envy his voice. What a great artist. Very well missed and he kicked ass very well in his time. Very well. Rip hoss.
#1 of all country in my opinion...my #1 all time favorite artist is ol Waylon Jennings!!!!! Whoop whoop whoop!!!! Hello 👋 all the Waylon fans!!
Oh my sweet lord almighty
Waylon was such a fantastic guitarist and entertainer, but he also had one of the worlds greatest steel guitar players in
Ralph Mooney.
🎶🇺🇲🎶
Was waiting for the "Pick it, Moon" Waylon would usually say at the start of a Mooney solo. 🙂

Waylon wouldn't let Moon drink ('cause he promised Mrs. Moon).

Wtf does politics have to do w it?
Man, I wish “This Time” could have lasted a lot longer. One of Waylon Jennings’ best.
When you look up the word “Cool” in the dictionary, it says Waylon Jennings. The epitome of badassery. Legend.

WAYLON 🎸🇨🇱 JENNINGS
Ralph Mooney
Waylon fuiste el mejor. Argentina presente 🇦🇷
Back when country music wasn’t gay
new country is just pop music with that stupid twang voice
That’s a grown man there just singing it like it is.
It doesn't get any better than Waylon when he was at his peak.
The real outlaw... purest of all...
From the 70's to when Waylon went home I saw him everytime he got within 100 miles or so. The music, the man, the coolness are just timeless.
In spite of the drink and drugs, the early '70s seem to be one of his strongest periods of music. The live recordings from this era are so good in so many ways.
Waylon was the greatest 😎
I loved his deep sexy voice. He sang real authentic country music. Much needed today ❤
