I have been drvg around 6 months since last Aug 2021 and so far so good..n it is indeed a very comfortable car, and the speed 185-200km/h d on highway still comfortable..i really hope umw will bring 2.5Hybrid in their next facelift :)

How can you call this a "Proper Premium SUV" when it has such a tiny, aftermarket looking center screen? And such a weak engine! Equip it with the larger center screen, and also the 2.5L Dynamic Force Engine, and then we're talking...

It is also their duty to highlight other potential options that someone who has RM250k to spend on a car, to consider. IMHO, the Harrier, even if priced at RM200k, is still a poorer value when compared to the Camry. And even that itself is not exactly the best bang for buck. So, at RM250k, with a weak engine and a joke of a center screen, the Harrier is absolutely poor value.

no matter how good is the chassis wise, if the engine is out of breath at 110km/h then it is a pass for me. The 2nd gen Harrier with 2.4 engine is already a hard work on the highway. Not gonna to repeat the same experience again.
Depends on your choices. But Harrier can’t compare with V60 as stationwagon and CX5 is budget car but not premium as this. Harrier 2.0 is affordable and cheaper than third gen Harrier
Harrier looks nice but low horse power. The odometer maximum is 140km/hr... I have test driven one unit. Feels like driving a truck. If you used to driving proton x70 or x50, you won't enjoy the drive as you can't get the power with 2litre engine without turbo. But it's comfortable ride. Steering a bit hard. Hardly any response to acceleration especially if you want to overtake. Lexus is responsive & powerful. Toyota harrier require modern engine actually to make it to a best car list.
It is much easier to sell back the harrier as it has very good resale value is good..easy to to trade in for another new harrier or other cars coz some people will sell it back upon reaching 80k or 100k km mileage
To be honest, the new facelifted Camry with the new 2.5 DF engine priced at 200k is more of a bargain than this. The SUV craze makes no sense to me while Camry still has TNGA magic.

I'm pretty sure the "better alternatives" are compromised in certain areas too. CX5 is more powerful but smaller and without ACC, no ADAS on Tiguan, the Germans are more powerful but not as spacious nor well equipped as Harrier.

I prefer last version harrier which got Turbo enginee with 238HP & 350NM. Also the eagle claw logo rather than Toyota logo in front pannel.
