  • Certainly! Avakaya Chepala Pulusu is a traditional Andhra-style fish curry prepared with mango pickle (avakaya) as a key ingredient. Here’s a simple recipe to make Avakaya Chepala Pulusu:
    Ingredients:
    - 1000 grams fish (preferably rohu or any firm-fleshed fish)
    - 3 tablespoons avakaya (mango pickle)
    - 4 onion, finely chopped
    - 4 tomatoes, pureed
    - cummin seeds, coriander seeds , Fenugreek seeds, garlic
    - 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
    - Salt to taste
    - 4 tablespoon oil
    - 1 Big lemon sized tamarind pulp
    - 2 cups water
    - Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
    - 7-8 green chillies
    Instructions:
    1. *Prepare the Curry:*
    - Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai over medium heat.
    - Add Green chillies and fry them keep aside
    - Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
    - Add tomato puree and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears
    - Gently place the fish pieces into the pan, taking care not to break them.
    - Pour 2 cups of tamarind water into the pan, ensuring the fish pieces are submerged in the gravy.
    Sprinkle red chili powder and salt (be mindful of the salt as avakaya already contains salt). Mix everything together.
    - Cover the pan with a lid and simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the flavors have melded together. Adjust the consistency of the curry as per your preference by adding more water if needed.
    - Add avakaya (mango pickle) along with its oil. Mix well with the curry

    Serve:
    - Once done, turn off the heat. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
    - Serve hot with steamed rice
