the acoustic middle section of To Live is to Die hits deep in the feelings. What a beautiful piece of music

The acoustic section is actually the intro and the middle section is clean guitar

The beginning of Battery has got to be one of the best album openers ever!! Welcome Home (Sanitarium) is a very close second. They’re both always so satisfying to hear. Master of Puppets is definitely their best work (if not one of them)! But of course there are so many bands who have amazing intros (as well as entire tracks) 🖤🖤🖤🔥🔥🔥☺️😉😊👍🏽🙌🏽

St Anger and Load riffs/clean riffs are underrated, i mean the are underrated at everything but in drums
I think the Drums on Both are Underrated. I love the Drum sound on both. (I also find the Drums on AJFA to be Overrated.)
St. Anger's clean riffs are overlooked because everybody is all about hating St. Anger. Same for the drum beats and the chunky heavy riffs

For the life of me, and I’m saying this as a huge fan and someone who holds Metallica in the highest esteem, I can’t comprehend how they could come up with the intro riff to Fight Fire With Fire. It’s just so complex, beautiful and atmospheric at so many levels.

That’s ‘To live is To Die’ from And Justice For All. The mid portion I think.

It's definitely overshadowed by more clean melodies or harmonies but Phantom Lord just showed you how talented Mustaine was and still is as a rhythm guitar player...TO THIS DAY !!

The Master of Puppets interlude is one of my all time favorite repetitious riffs in all of rock. It's so repetitive yet so catchy. The kind of melody that sets your mind at ease.

You can tell the opening to Fight Fire with Fire was a Cliff Burton composition. One of the greats, RIP.

I think you're playing the Call of Cthulu part slightly off. On the first run you first play the 5th fret on the 2nd string then after the 5th note 1st string you play the 6th fret 2nd string. I'm not very good at explaining these things so apologies if I got it wrong.

I'm not buying the Orion part. That part is bass but you can hear the bass track underneath your version. I'm not saying there is no acoustic guitar parts for this song. I just highly doubt it. Not trying to be a troll. Far from it. I just don't recollect any guitar part sounding like that in the song. Your playing is awesome btw. I wish I could play as good.

Not understanding why you left the interlude to the four horsemen out. It was clean with slight distortion
Because it was still played with the distortion. Phantom Lord is the only true clean riff on that album.

@@zacharyhusk4649 The other riffs with distortion, excluding certain obvious exceptions (Fixxxer verse, All Within My Hands bridge), we’re showing off sections where the clean guitar was doing a different line. A lot of these, I would suppose, are done to add extra context for how these clean parts are used.
In the case of Four Horsemen’s bridge, I don’t hear that as being a clean guitar at all. While it is certainly not as aggressive as the guitar tone for the majority of Kill Em All, I hear that guitar tone being a result of single notes versus rapid fire power chords and maybe a bit of chorus.
