Still waiting on mine to be delivered to my FPO box. Ironically, a Casio being shipped from the USA to my FPO here in Japan, lol. I am disappointed this model doesn’t have the new module like the 2024 6900 ICERC did.
I admire your commitment to buying every version of every Casio ever made! 😂😂😂 Your vids are always strangely mesmerizing... I feel hypnotized into buying another Casio. I only have ONE G-Shock!!!! The NASA is cool, but did we even go to the moon? 🤔
I was going back and forth between getting this Nasa edition or the standard GW6900 but ultimately I ordered the Nasa version. I really like the blacked out lettering around the watch (Gshock, mode, adjust…). It just looks cleaner to me plus the band looks a little more comfortable than the standard, maybe or maybe not? Thanks for sharing your review!
Love the 6900s you got there. I recently bought a DW-6900U (module 3529), as the GW-6900 was a bit pricey for me where I live. Looking forward to adding a GW-6900 to the collection to complement my GW-M5610U.
The 3rd party "knock-off" bracelets are incredible durable and are comfortable to wear. I've used mine extensively on a 5610U for two years and it's still in perfect condition, including the black clasp.
When the "knock off" version was first available there was a guy who made a TH-cam video in which he showed how "bad" it was by breaking it with his bare hands. I thought, "You could probably break the official Casio version if you treated it that way... but you'd probably rather waste $15 instead of $100 making your TH-cam video."
Good morning, Mr Anderson, I'm genuinely curious how do you decide on which watch to wear for a day or an event or just in general, you have so many I am up to somewhere around 15 and have a tough enough time and I'll just grab a watch sometimes or It may depend on what I'm doing that day maybe I want quick access to a stop watch and grab a rangeman , damn near all my watches are now solar and automic, and if not I make sure to sync the non automic with the correct time before heading our for the day , keep up the good work
I have three watches which are designated "beater" watches which get the most wrist time. There are only about three days per week when I wear the other watches in my collection, so they don't get a lot of use. And I kind of go through phases. I will pay a lot of attention to a certain style of watch for a week or two and then move on. There's no organized schedule nor method of deciding what to wear. Just whatever seems interesting at the moment.
I bought a GW 6900 from Buyee a while ago. It was second hand and I was a bit worried about importing from Japan to Spain. I needn't have because it was perfect and it is a great watch. It's become one of my favourite Casios. I must say I tend to prefer the bog standard versions without modding. My only complaint is that the alarm is very quiet.
Mine arrived four days ago. Loving the NASA logo and uncluttered watch face. Nicely done watch. But my original GW6900 appears to have a brighter EL backlight. Did you notice any difference, Greg?
I think the differences between the old and new 6900 modules will be fewer than the differences between modules in the 5610 watches. But... I'm not sure if I will break down and buy the 6904K or wait until there's an update of the "regular" GW6900. As far as I know right now, there's been no official announcement of an update to the "regular" GW6900 yet.
I tend to not use my G-shocks as everyday wear watches because of the recessed buttons. They are just so hard to push, especially the one for programming.
I know that lots of folks are concerned that the buttons are difficult to press. I guess I'm just used to the way they are. They never seem to bother me.
I find a bummer that the "NASA tribute" by CASIO was limited to a serigrafy name and flag, a retro illumination formula (barely visible under the LEDs), and, again a formula engraved to the bottom case. I mean, this is squeezing the lemon for all G-SHOCK fans. What about the tin can? So generic that I was not surprised anyone can trash it away. So sad, but this is not what I call a Tribute. Whatever!
I will bet you didn’t know how Casio copied the Timex from the start, first they copied Timex adverts of tough watches being thrown from the building then they copied Indiglo in the form of Illuminator and then they just shamelessly copied Timex Ironman as Casio dw 6900.
@@GoodTimekeeper i will bet you didn’t know how tough solar is a copy of ecodrive but poor copy cuz ecodrive lasts for much longer and has potential of getting charged from any light,do you see a pattern with Casio here.
@@dado380 A Tough Solar watch battery will last for 15 years EASILY. “Charges from any light source” is just marketing, any solar panel will work on any light source. Never had a cheap solar powered calculator? Did they stop working under artificial light? Think again.
I never miss an episode of the good timekeeping show. Thanks, Greg.

What makes you disappointed though? The new module doesn't have anything going for it other than illumination being done by LEDs.

"We" didn't go to the moon. At least I didn't. But I'm certain that Apollo astronauts did.
Hello from Thailand! I was waiting for this video. As always very informative, thank you

Very cool! 👌 I quite like the metal upgrade kit

Still prefer a genuine combi bracelet.
You are aware there are metal parts inside the resin links, which makes it much stronger than any knockoff?

I managed to get one and got it delivered to Ireland.
after a legnthy bidnge of your vids i decided to go with the g shock mgt-900, plenty of them on ebay. ty for the info

You should try one of the full metal G-Shocks, their alarms are barely audible…
The GW-6900 is pretty loud in comparison!
Orange was d best release
I'm wearing the new NASA watch now!

I didn't notice. I will have to put them side-by-side and take a look.

@@GoodTimekeeper Maybe it is like the modules 3461 and 3540 on the GW-B5600. I'm going to find out soon.

GW-6900 is much easier to use than the squares.
It’s not just a G-shock, it’s a Gravity-shock! 😎
Formulas are wrong, lol
I sent mine back. I was disappointed with the last tin and the gimmicky contest release.
barf but thanks for sharing

No LED’s in this watch.

It looks like the watch comes in a can of shoe wax.
Did Casio pretend it went to the moon?🤣
So you’re not aware that NASA certified a couple of G-Shock models?

I would pay more attention to Timex if they copied Tough Solar and Multiband 6 from Casio. I enjoy those features SOOOO much!

So far, the pattern seems to be that Casio is making these features more affordable and/or in a greater variety of watches. I'm okay with that.
