I really wish Ashley wouldn't say things like that even in joking because there are a lot of people that aren't going to look up things for themselves and take her word for everything. Which is problematic in itself...but oh well.
I don't blame Ashley...I'm sad that people don't want to read and find out things for themselves. people can tell you anything. you can't just believe whatever people say. That's why so many music artists get screwed over ...they don't even read their contracts! Martha came in to help with the vocals. She came in to do a job, she knew her job, and she was paid and credited for her job.
Also, I noticed I had some comments that were deleted. I know a lot about the Jackson family and I try to clear up or add things in the comments. I don't know if Ashley thinks I"m trying to take her job...and I"m not. It's just I'm a former journalist and I like to correct things when I know certain things that were told incorrectly. I would never try to take over. I enjoy this channel even if sometimes Ashley gets things wrong...but it's all good. It's entertainment.
It wasn't stealing. Martha was a paid session singer for many singers back in the day, including Rebbie. This was a common practice back in the day, and session singers understood this.
It definitely wasn't a Milli Vanilli situation, which would mean they were foreign singers who couldn't sing in English (but could still sing) and agreed to have English singers sing their songs for the time being. Milli Vanilli should've just sang in their language while also learning English since they wanted to be big around the world.
Sadly, they agreed to the lip-syncing and got with sleezy behind the scenes scammers to do it, and they paid the price, but they could sing. The Milli Vanilli situation has so many layers with even the "real Milli Vanilli" singers were phony.
I just hate when people don't understand the situation because it drove a man to off himself. The other is still to this day trying to get the world to understand that he could sing all along, and now he always sings live. People are too insensitive about the Milli Vanilli situation, and it's a shame.

timmy841212_Behind every lie there's a little truth....in my opinion Mr. Joe Jackson was the tormentor ...his family was under bodily harm...He was cruel and abusive, the fact that he himself may have being abused does not make it right...to listen to Michael, or Janet or any of the other Jackson children recount the tales of whoopings on a regular basis makes me cringe...the knowledge that although these kids where doing their best to become stars

I believe that Latoya was telling the truth about her father and that she will reaffirm those ancient claims, once the queen mother, the beautiful Katherine Jackson, passes on. Wait and see. I agree ...remember Latoya told the world that Janet was married to her second husband, before the world knew and at the time we thought she was lying until it came out Janet was married.

You start telling too much truth…they claim “you are crazy”. I’ve uncovered things that speak to the opposite. LaToya has been minding her own business for years. It’s the other siblings out here still in mess in their 60s and 70s. Marlon is the least problematic one because he left California. He was always the least problematic brother.

It’s so crazy how beautiful all three sisters are, and all in different ways. It’s almost criminal picking who looked the best. But I will say Janet has the best body, Rebbie the best voice, and Latoya had the best baby hairs
