    I'm swapping a 06 5.3(returnless fuel) into a 91 that had a carburetor instead of the tbi. When i was taking off the fuel lines that go up to the engine, i noticed that the return line(?) Was capped off. It had a in and out fuel pressure regulator(?)(no return in that regulator.)

    • @MOE13576
      @MOE13576 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You think if i install a Corvette style regulator and connect the return line that was capped off coming from the gas tank to the return outlet from the regulator. It'll work with my returnless set up ?

    • @3rdGenC10s
      @3rdGenC10s  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as you have a return less fuel rail that will work perfectly. The corvette filter regulator will regulate the fuel to 58 psi so anything that isn’t needed in the rail will be returned through the filter. I like to keep my return as short as possible coming out of the filter back to the tank.

      @@3rdGenC10syes, it has a returnless fuel rail. Thanks a lot man. Subscribed 👍

    I really like everything you did. I am doing the same thing on a 78 blazer my question is how come you’re sending unit is turned towards the passenger side when you’re going down the driver side frame rail. I understand why you went down the driver side frame rail, but I’m just wondering why you didn’t take off in that direction

    • @3rdGenC10s
      @3rdGenC10s  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SteveSerpa-o8j sending unit only goes into the tank one way which puts the outlets down the passenger side frame rail which is where the stock fuel lines ran.

    Great info! I'm doing the same thing now. I'm using stainless 3/8 tubing for the fuel lines. I was thinking about using steel or stainless tube nuts and sleeve. I see you used aluminum tube nuts and sleeves. Did you have any problems with leaks with the aluminum fittings on the stainless tubing?

    • @3rdGenC10s
      @3rdGenC10s  ปีที่แล้ว

      No leaks, have about 7500 miles on the fuel system since the swap.

    I noticed my '73 c10 doest have rear upper spring perches, just leaf springs. .....is that normal...although there are lower perches on the rear axle....I just swapped in a cammed 5.3 and a 3000rpm stalled built th350...got her all wired up and running, now I get to move on to the fun stuff. .....body work, luckily the seat has no rips , just gotta get a dash cap and door panel caps....it was a straight 6 granny 4 spd truck, when I got it , but it must of been a 3 on the tree originally because I can see where the column shifter once lived....

      Mine has a flip kit on it. Is that what you are seeing as a upper spring perch?

    Great video. I am curious if you can just run the flex line all the way and not deal with the hard lines. Did you do the hard lines just for a cleaner look? Just wondering.

    • @3rdGenC10s
      @3rdGenC10s  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You shouldn’t have any problems running flex lines the entire length. I added hard lines for a little more reliability, flex lines can fail with ethanol fuel.

      Arnie Cann the bigger connection vents the filler neck. The smaller connection vents the tank, I’m going to run a piece of fuel line with a filter on the end of it for that.
