They still said it in the video, it's about the ecosystem that keeps people in the company! People don't always care about new amazing features, they are happy Apple brings new stuff to their phones whether is exist already or not! If someone has a Macbook, Apple Watch and a Iphone, which are all connected between eachother, they rather stay with Apple then go with another company! Whether you like Apple or not, that's the truth. Apple has built a strong and reliable ecosystem for every day users! Customers should outraged at Apple's attack on 3rd party repair, and their own genius bars that try to drive up the repair cost in order to get you to buy a new phone.
Also, if they don't fix your phone right there, then they actually ship it to a 3rd party repair company that gave them the cheapest bid for the contract (see Reddit threads on the kind of crap that happens in these 3rd party companies).

Like it or not smartphones 20 years from now will probably largely similar to those we had in 2013, just like our passenger jets are largely similar to the ones we had 50 years ago. There's no need to flail around looking for the next big smartphone feature because there isn't one, so why make gimmicky folding phones that don't even work well? Companies just have to accept that it's slowing down and becoming less exciting. The same thing happened to computers in the 2000s and Apple didn't sweat it, they just moved to the next new exciting thing. More exciting things will come, but they won't be smartphones. There are so many feature on androids that is just gimmicky lack of reliability. Androids wanted to get ahead of Apple but failed to do better. iPhone Hardware and Software to this date are far more advance than those in android, iPhone can be use for 5 solid years fast and up to date. While android raising to get ahead of apple packing too much feature like super slowmo, air gesture and 5g that are not ready yet and no practical use. If you want an example of an Android phone that does face id right, Hawaii pro 20 did it securely like apple. 2) Android phones released over the past 4 years can and have last 4+ years, with fast performance from a user stand point. I understand that Android is usually the first and fastest at releasing new “innovation” and it takes Apple a while to “catch up” however I don’t think it’s like of innovation in Apple. It’s that Apple implements new technology better. Take Touch ID for example. Though Apple wasn’t the first to implement the technology, they did make it better and more secure and probably faster. Same for day wireless charging. Android had it for years, yes. But I don’t think Apple found a real need for it and that’s why I took them a while. But this is just me. I like ‘s implementation because it’s more refined. They may not be first but they are refined
