    Hey . First time commenting on any utube videos. Been watching your videos for a while now. Probably for about a year. Love your videos and your work. I love love love the 68 nomad! !!! My first car was a 69 Chevy Concours wagon. Same car . Wish I kept it now. Anyway I just wanted to tell you about a ramp trick I use. I was watching your video on the 78 Elcamino when you said you have to jack it up to put the ramps under it because it hits. I use a 3 foot piece of a 2x6 on each ramp. Place them about half way up. Make sure they are even then I just drive right up as I normally would. Way easier and saves a bunch of time! Tell Niki I said hey girl! Good dog!👍👍👍

    The black car looks great, I do love the idea of a matte finish on the hood. That usually looks sharp. Love your channel sir, the absolute budget channel for us working stiffs. I've got a 79 Camaro that I'm going to start working on in the spring and you helped tremendously with knowledge.

You said the temperature by you is around 60 degrees, well I’m from the Chicago area and man it’s been in around 10 degrees here for the last few days. As always, I like how you work and explain things.👍

    As far as Harbor Freight did they get rid of the inside track club?

    May could find a hood locally for malibue wagon or 2 door malibue and i think the 4 door malibue maybe the same. The two door malibue is a popular drag car and normally steel hoods come off anyway and replaced with fiberglass hoods. So maynot be that hard to find. Just a thought

    • @clunkersandclassics

      none locally plus finding an undamaged used hood would be impossible.

    looks good Lee glad to hear your molding in the scoop could you advise me on spot putty versus glazing putty wtf is the difference?

    • @michaelbristol6467
      @michaelbristol6467 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The difference is if it has a hardener or not 2 part or 1 part. The 2 part is a touch stronger and can fill small dings and heavier scratches. 1 part spot putty is for very light scratches and very small chips and imperfections like right before you paint and your all masked up and degreasing and you find a tiny chip or scratch. Then the spot putty 1 part is better to use. 😉✌

    I'm not criticizing, I'm a fan of your channel. I notice you have a lot of orange peel in your paint jobs. Can I suggest when you repaint the hood turning the gun down to 25 psi and do %75 over laps. I tried that recently and shocked how much better my jobs came out.
