I was like 9 or 10 years old when I start playing this game in arcades it was the only social interaction that I had I was never went to school and I was prevent to having anything I was isolated my family tortured me
its absolutely crazy... after years of not playing this game (or this song), coming back to it now... i can still remember a lot of the arrow patterns & combos. i LOVED hitting the arcade after middle school to play all evening. early - mid 2000s were the BEST time to be around
@@marieli325 I legitimately became the man. No joke. I got invited to every party and brought ddr with me. Getting girls to jump up and down in front of you 😂😂😂 gross thinking about it now, but st the time, ayeeee
That's amazing bro! I almost did the same exact thing and was going to pick this same song! I didn't follow through due to over thinking the possiblity of getting made fun of 😣 Totally regret that but still had much success from killing it in many arcades around metro Detroit 😁
That's awesome dude. Had something similar happen to me, we went on a field trip somewhere and one of the things we got to do was go to a mall, they had DDRMAX 2 there. So I busted out Max 300 on standard mode. By the time I finished I had an audience of classmates and parents clapping. Felt really good.
uooogh nostalgia overload! Been years since I last play DDR. The song that started my friendship in 2008 with my one and only trusted friend. Met him in one of the DDR stall and we casually play this song together. Afterwards we became friend. I went to Japan & Russia and he went to Korea & Canada and we still ended up meeting up over again somewhere sometime to update our life and reminisce the past now that we're old. Hmm... I wonder can I still do this song in expert regardless of my old age? lol
After just starting and seeing someone complete this on heavy mode my mind was blown. I made it a goal to achieve that as well. I'll never forget the first time I completed it. The slow motion ending and the feeling of accomplishment hitting that last step was surreal! 🤩🤯🥳🙌
This song is one of the hardest 9 step tunes in the history of 9 step tunes. I feel like it should be a ten. It’s just so hard. I’ve never beat it on foot I don’t believe.
Thanks to all the years of 9s and 10s being bunched up together, they changed the difficulty scaling for songs to a 20. It's now a 13. For reference, MAX 300 ESP is a 15, Trip Machine ESP is a 10, and the hardest songs now are 19s. Looking at people MFC-ing what would have been a crowning achievement two decades ago is shocking.
An old DDR-friend of mine said it best about this song: "it's like you are keeping the patient alive by hitting as many of the arrows as you can". I can see it too, 1:15 is like the patient is going into cardiac arrest.
For me, this song refers to the last moments of someone's life. It's about the despair of dying and the First visions of beyond (that's why it's the "Angelic Mix").
I remember when I was first able to do healing vision on heavy, I thought I'd pass out but holyshityes it's one of those DDR accomplishments you don't forget. It's still one of my favorite songs of all time. :)
I still remember when I had first heard this song, and saw the steps on heavy I thought if never be able to play it at my size, but it bevame one of my best songs back in the day. ❤️❤️
Hehe I remember when I played this game a lot I would "warm up" with Rhythm and Police or Tsugaru, then this song, and then Exotic Ethnic for my first set... on heavy naturally. I needa start playing this again! :O

a ridiculous amount of time spent training and built up stamina. I mean that ridiculous part quite literally too. I used to be able to do this and after a 4 month break I couldn't keep up anymore.
You have to have the physical ability of course, but a major factor is being able to "read it". At some point you will find the sweet-spot where you no longer look at the "hit bar" (the line with the four arrows) and just trust that you timed it right, this allows you to keep reading ahead.
I have noticed that effect with other games like Audiosurf, alas my legs are faaaar too gone to consider picking up the dance mat these days, joys of having a job I guess.... :D My biggest gripe was the damn mat moving as you played, not every bedroom has tiled floors for the suction cups
HalfBreedMix _but a major factor is being able to "read it"_ The major factor is how well you can memorize it after attempting it so many times. Basically its like a dancer learning a dance routine. If you memorize and know the steps, it is much easier and less stressful than trying to "read" what to do next.
i used to play this game using m ps2 controller (because i sucked using my feet) on Heavy, i remember i got all perfects except for only 3 greats on this song 10 yrs ago time flys so fast
about 50% of this song is meant to be played memorized backwards because the steps are intended to turn you around and then turn you back forward... but after a really long time 10 or 11 steps
Origin of this track. Dj. His mother is sick and cant afford his moms surgery. On the hospital bed he makes 1 wish. To have the power of healing vision. After 30 years. Now you know
its because of this song that i felt in love with ddr, altough i cant still make it heavy only standard, but im doing it on heavy on training mode with low speed until i get it done!
scuchabas una buena rola, estabas con los cuates, tu cuerpo se ejercitaba, tenias una coordinación increíble entre mente y cuerpo, nada de andar gastándote los dedos en el touch del cel.
I remember when I dared to even think that this song was hard... Now I put it on 2x speed and want it to be faster. Still gets the blood rushing, though. Now, I'm doing So Deep and Max300. Those were the days...
It’s funny how I started playing a year ago never struggling to play anything past a 7 now I can easily do most 15’s and 16’s and some 17’s only took me about a year to get the hang of DDR
I hear ya, man. There's this place where I live in Seattle that has, like, 15 different DDR/ITG machines. I haven't been there in a while, but when I get the chance, I'm going to go rock Supernova (over time, I managed to master Fascination and the Eternal Love Mix), and then get my ass kicked on the SN2 machine during relinquish... xD
Good times bro :'). Luckily there's a DDR Extreme Machine 10 minutes where I live, so I can still play every now and then. But I REALLY want an DDR X machine. Or at least SuperNOVA 2. I want to dance Pluto Relinquished one day.
seperately... maybe I'll post a video in a little bit showing or something. Otherwise, in a situation like up, right, left, down I would face diagonally to the right with my toes on my left foot on the top arrow, my toes on my right foot on the right arrow, my left heel on the left arrpw, and my right heel on the right arrow, if you can imagine that. basically, you don't have to move nearly as much as usual conserving your energy. I'm kinda new to the style as well so I'm not the best at it xD
Is it practical to be pulling off all those cross-overs? Everyone I know just mini-steps without crossing over, so I'm considering training myself to cross. >_
Eh, but only so much jelliness can be had. After all, the only machine that's close enough to me (and not ridiculously overpriced at that one place) is a DDR Extreme machine. Which means, if I want to play Angelic Mix, I have to go through the entire 2MB Challenge Course to get to it as the last song, missing no more than 3 notes in the prior 4 songs (Paranoia, Trip Machine, and a couple other weird ones). ;_;
Every single time I do this fucking song I do GREAT until about 1:10 and I start crapping out. And every single fucking time I cry out in rage lol. This video makes it even more painful realizing (because I get the "FAILED" message about 20 seconds later) that I only have to go another 30 seconds. I am going to beat this damn song if it kills me.
This is actually in StepMania. Healing Vision (Angelic Mix) was featured in multiple official DDR versions, including DDRMAX in the United States. I believe I imported the song into StepMania from that pack. But, then again it was 14 years ago so, I could be remembering that wrong.
I use to watch an EXTREAMLY over weight college guy killllllllllllllllll the crap out of the songs on heavy. I thought he was going to die on a few but he always beat the skinny ppl and I would laugh and laugh.

I often had to stop at 1:15 and 1:35. The voltage after jumps is unbelievable.
To me this song figth that "atribution" with Paranoia Eternal
