it drives me crazy because this used to be the "hardest" song I could beat when I was younger. Now my brain can see the moves, and know what to do... but my body just can't keep up.
This song is not just brute force; the coordination and rhythm are important, so you need stamina plus more focus and mind-body coordination compared to other "hard" songs
This song is party of my chillhood :')
the old school ddr players.
I would say this is one of the most underrated songs in all of ddr.
It's one of my favorite songs on Heavy. The galloping steps are just satisfying. I've only got a AA. Been close to the triple AAA before. I'm 29 now, I get exhausted after 3 songs. The final notes usually get me because my legs are tired AF by then. So my timing is off and I'm hitting a few greats. I'd say I've been shy of the AAA by maybe 5-10 greats. It's been awhile.
Ah yes... the bell rang. Went to the arcade to show off my moves in Double with this song. Played once more in single to beat Max 300. Now, I cry when I see stairs... damn you Chronos...
This song inspired me to improve at DDR until I could beat it, after seeing someone play it seemed amazing.
I used to wear Khakis that looked great on my butt) but were lose on my legs, so I could wear ankle weights under them at school and playing this. Strength training, as I taught martial arts.
The time of judgement came when the dude who I first saw playing this watched me play a 7 (not knowing I have 20lbs hidden on each foot). He arrogantly said "let me show you how it's done". I asked to play with him, and he made all of it a competition.
He let me pick third song, I highlighted "So Deep" and asked if that was okay, to which he sneered. I said "hold on", and stepped off the pad to take off 10lbs from each leg. He was shocked.
I beat him mildly, but the real wound was when my friend said "she only took off half her weights". He walked out of the arcade and I don't remember ever seeing him again.
Just wanted to share.
I used to play in steel-toed boots. Break Down nearly broke the machine.
such a beautiful and hard song, rememember almost dying on the mat in 2004 at the end of it, this one and Can't stop falling in love speed mix definitely boosted my stamina at a certain point.
This song and A by Dj Amuro were my favorites as a kid. Likewise, this is the one song that got me into trance music.
Ah this takes me back ... This was such a fun song to play as a warm up stage
it's not crazy hard , it's more tiring then anything . 500 steps wears ya down . I could full combo this in my sleep . I'll admit though I full combod it dozens of times but I only got the AA once
one of the best licensed songs ever to grace this series
omg this brings me back so many memories i first started playing it when i was 11 n now i havent played for a year...:'( i miss DDR
I love the song. It isnt off beat
Ugh I finally passed this chart, 15 years later. Idc what anyone says given the new threshold of DDR/Pump difficulty. Iykyk. This was one that should be up there with the ancients, like Healing Vision or Afronova, even if it was never a Konami license and never seen again after this mix. I feel like I did my childhood justice 😂
I heard this song was added on Stepmaniax
Which plays like DDR but it has a middle step, hold mines and songs from dance mania/ ITG and PIU
This was the ultimate test for me when I started playing on heavy all those years ago. DDRMAX 2 on playstation 2 was my intro and eventually I was starting to pass 9 footers, but the stamina needed for this one was just on another level for me back then. This one and Exotic Ethnic when I got Max next were the two standouts that really killed me, Exotic Ethnic was basically the point where I realized I needed to learn crossovers, so in my personal experience, those two were the hardest 9s ever. They just felt so much harder than anything else besides the 10s on those 2 games, (though Xenon took a lot of studying the claps in training, I was able to execute it reasonably well much earlier than the aforementioned two) By the time I could do em and I got Extreme 2 I was proficient and in enough shape that no other 9 would really give me problems.
This song is actually relatively easy to crack (as for as arrow reading). The gallops are based off of the synth that's playing, so if you have a feel for that, the steps flow almost perfectly and all that's required is the stamina to keep up with the stream. It took me a week to figure this song out, but it took me a few months to build enough stamina to keep up with the stream enough to maintain a 100 combo XD
Back in the day... Play ddr memories
The absolute panic playing this song for the first time on 1.0x speed.
I really miss this so much! 2020!!
Touch of Trance 👍 one of my favourite DDR Song
Old vid, awesome quality!
This is probably one of my favorite DDR songs ever. Nice job man. Highest I ever got was an A on this one.
Know this vid old as hell but man, this one is one of my favorites but could never AA and also i loved playing on doubles. I want to buy the extreme mix arcade...
i love how when u do it on ur feet, ur almost galloping around the pad. its fantastic!
lol same happened to me on the arcade, always full combo untill that las jump, i miss so much that old DDR Extreme
one the best songs imo used to just play this song 3 times in a row still never got sick of it
I miss songs and charts like this
This song is still so hype
This song I could AA. Max 300 I couldn't pass.
This one's just about keeping your rythmn. It's fun as hell when you actually get it down.
And watching people freestyle on this song was probably thing about having an Arcade Machine around me.
the memorys of this song ❤️
This is such a good song, why has it been forgotten from arcades? It's like after DDRMax it didn't exist anymore. Haven't played it in like 10 years.
It was a very popular song on Extreme, but that may be the last arcade mix it was on.
Ummmm it has been on SEVERAL mixes after Max. It was on MAX2, Extreme, Supernova 1 & 2, and pretty much most mixes after those. It's absent from the anniversary one but so are most of the good songs.
This soundtrack is badass! I love it!
This was sampled by porter robinson. He released a song called “ghost voices” under his other artist alias “Virtual Self” skip to 50 seconds into the song and you’ll hear it.
i still play so deep till this day [= never got the song until i saw the pattern a guy was using. game over after that =D
I don't have step mania or a mat or an arcade, so I'm shadow dancing using this video, pretending I've got the setup. Telling ya, it's a workout game or no game!!
The first time loading this track on DDR MAX and seeing that slooooowwww step chart.
I was so jealous my buddy Randal could do this in he arcade on Maniac. He introduced me to what gallops were.
chidisima song....
nice song love it...
i love vincent de moor
Great job. I barely got an A on this song...it was hard, lol. And my eyes can barely follow along with all the arrows. The ending is the hardest.
amazing song. i always do this song last, amazing steps :)
my favorite song / steps in DDR history
It's okay, I sometimes miss that very last jump too. :/
It's still a fuckin' awesome song.
This song is awesome!
One of, if not THE, best song to make use of the horsey steps~
Other songs just use it once or twice, or Tsugaru with its breakdown, but this song became legendary for being fun albeit challenging while making you master the horse steps and such. Gahh, so fun.
Best DDR song ever
Esta cancion me recuerda al 2008 cuando me gustaba un chaval que la baila :)
Uff cuantos recuerdos cn el ddr :)
lol I danced this after Afronova and Xenon xD Legs felt like jelly afterwards.
Virtual Self - EON Break
Good4Josh i just heard this song after reading your comment. It’s a good song! Should be a ddr song
Love this song and its brutal (well back then) step chart! It would've been a level 14 on the recent scale
Ehhhh disagree. The patterns flow well and aren't all that awkward. It's probably a 13.
It is on DDR Max 6th Mix, if I remember correctly.
The Greatest song on DDR EVER HANDS DOWN. Ohhh this song is great, I actually think I might go play some DDR right now =D
Legendary vídeo
Legendary song.
I wish all DDR games had songs like this. *sigh*
This is my favorite song in DDR,
the Matsuri Japan :DDD on heavy both x1.5
holy crap!!
this song is so amazing :_)
BEST SONG EVER!!! miss ddr extreme u_u
This song was awesome on doubles on your feet.
It's hard! It took me forever and it's harder now cuz there is no Extreme machine within 200 miles of me! But yesterday I finally played this song again and I beat it for the first time and then a second time.. It was awesome. I was dead tired though.
Ahhhhh.... You got to love DDR... This was like a trial song you beat this on expert and you were officially a DDR player.... Has it been almost 10 years already?
awsome
I used to AA this song on heavy like 15 years ago. Just tried it now and I can't even finish it.
I miss unique charts like this
I hear that!
TH-cam recommendations are getting rare now...
It's ironic how one of the hardest songs in DDR is the most pad-friendly. XD
lmaooo i know! shah im going to go play this later :D
I learned not to warm up with this song...or at least anymore (pad). But I did learn how to play it on speed x1 reverse :D.
2x speed, boooo! It's much easier on normal speed. I still remember this one, so much fun to play.
Before I die I NEEED to beat this on heavy
me encanta esta cancion siempre la jugue midle and hide jajajaja velocidad 1 peroo nunca probe de 2Xd me canta es lo mejor que pude bailar!!!!
hey can someone tell me where can i download this song for stepmania plz?
Attempted this in the arcade when i was 13, couldn't get the gallops down. Such a dope song tho
right, it tests your ability to do consecutive gallops on the same foot AND different feet which can mess you up pretty quickly
@31337h4xx0r stepmania can also be done on a pad, that is how i do it.
god damn u so good
That miss though
pta q recuerdos *_*
is a classic!
O_o wow waaay better than me...im still failing with paranoia on standard...
hola xD esta muy bueno y sobre todo la triple A
veo videos asi para practicarlo en mi pieza y luego jugar en la makina
man this song is cheese.
I can AA it on my feet
of course any song in DDR is possible. notice i said DDR songs and not SM songs
i really hope they put this song, Max 300, and sakura in the new DDR for the ps3. I really do hope they put them in there!
This sim is a big step in non-max/pluto steps for difficulty. ^^
Awww, now I miss DDR/Stepmania! Loved this song!
Well done, lol I have never seen ANYBODY keep their combo through the very last 2 seconds.
"So Deep" by Silvertear. The version in DDR is actually the original, not the perfect sphere remix.
Please tell me how you were able to record this like you did...I would love to show my plays and such.
LMFAO!!! You're brutal. I got people on my job staring at me because I LOL'd at your comment so hard...
i like fast arrows
@LiqwidNiTRO i know what u mean bro, i've fc this song on arcade pads once, every other time the pads like to say i missed and piss me off.
can someone please tell me why DDRMAX songs sound so much better than DDRsupernova, like, they EPIC FAILED in making the sequal better.
My brother used to do this one at the arcades. i used to think he was doing drugs
Why is the quality so good?
this song is a lot harder to read than max 300, but once you get the hang of it, it's just about actually doing it ><
@ToshiroCR7
yesssss ddr extreme machine :**(
ROFL that LAST JUMP AT THE END... i miss that one too man.
It's messed up peoples perfect combos for years!!!!!!! One of many Banes of DDR players existences.
I think that's the songs only jump????
This song isn't too bad. Once you get the chart down it's all about endurance.
anyone know where to find this song?
this song is so hard i can pased
hey, where do u get these original versions instead of editted ones?
This one could have been rated X-14 (Level 14 on DDR X and X2 games) ;-)
curious on why NoMines mod was added... there are no mines in this song as it's a DDR song, not ITG. Anyway, still a great song :D
This is one of the best DDR songs ever created
AHUEVO PINCHE PUÑETAS
Yes sir
It's not a "DDR song." The full version of this song always existed long before DDR ever made a chart for it. So perhaps you mean it's one of the best DDR CHARTS.
