Imagine, we are in a cinema to watch Raimi Spider-Man 4 on the opening day. The hall is full and all people around us are happy and waiting for the movie impatiently like us. The hall darkens and after the trailers of other movies and those usual silly commercials, a slightly extended version of this beautiful music starts to play. With the flowing credits, we see photos and few second videos successively in chronological order showing us what happened between spider-man 3 and no way home: the wedding of Peter and MJ, birth of Mayday, Peter fighting villains and swinging, feeding Mayday, (possibly) death of Aunt May, Peter working in his lab etc... We shake with joy and excitement and cheer for the characters, especially the GOAT Tobey Maguire. Just imagining this makes me very happy. Probably words will not be enough to tell how we feel, if this movie is shot one day

It didn't only break several box office records but also helped the entire 80-90s generation grow alongwith it.* *One of the biggest regrets I have though is not seeing it at the theater, but I can't blame myself as I was too young to go and watch it by myself, but when I watched it at home, I knew that I found new love in this fictional character, mainly because it felt grounded and real to me. Also, I was so mesmerised seeing the visual effects, specially the web-swinging stuff, that I had the urge to know how they managed to pull that off.* *I wrote this in my Spider-Man: No Way Home post and I'm repeating my words again, that all credit goes to this movie and its two sequels for me being a graduate in 3D Animation and Visual Effects. Many great movies will come and go but I don't think any movie will ever take that special place in my heart which this movie has.* *Thank you SAM RAIMI and TOBEY MAGUIRE for the holy OG Spider-Man trilogy.*

I can't believe it's been 20 years since this movie came out. I grew up loving Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films and I'm astonished that it still holds up after all these years. Wow.
Such an amazing film. The greatest superhero origin film ever made and honestly just so iconic. It has everything you want in a superhero film! It’s funny, goofy, scary, thrilling, heartfelt, has amazing action scenes, and has some of the most memorable dialogue of any film.
The screenplay here was awesome, they let you know everything about the characters (personality, context…) in the first 10 minutes without pacing issues, just to have the right amount of time to develop all the story in the rest of the movie…
They gave AVI ARAD a big thank you in the credits But do you know who else deserves a big thank you? LAURA ZISKIN (2:41) It was because of her and her partner (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the original trilogy and TASM1 had depth Arad on the other hand just wanted to use the movies to sell toys
