fact: Not all gay people were abused or come from bad homes. Some straight ppl were abused and come from bad homes and are still straight. Moral of the story there is no link between childhood trauma and whether one is straight or gay.

@@danavixen6274 He continues to use that as a crutch to ask for grace and mercy for his weakness. He’s playing with God. At this age, he should be able to put his big boy PANTIES on and say NO MORE. But, that’s only if that’s what he really wants 🤔

@@DaniaAbraham-z3nI don’t think it’s that simple, I think the truth is in the middle. You are right there are people abused that are not gay, and there are people that are gay without any abuse, but there are people that have been abused by the same sex and a gay. The impact of childhood abuse is intense and can show up in life in various ways. I think it’s just very complex all around.

Yes and he don’t need to be a pastor. Jesus don’t deliver you. You have to make a choice to change and not blame others or use excuses that not real repentance and he will go though the some circle. He have to take responsibility for his choices and than chose right. Jesus isn’t going to make you choose right he there to help but He said out of his our month you have to take up your cross. It gets easier down the road but you have to make a real first step. That means not going around the thing that made you let sinning, drop being a pastor your not fit (like having a overly fat person as you fitness trainer), stop doing or being around anything that make you fall back. That is like cut off a hand for someone people and that what Jesus meant by cutting off your hand to into in heaven.
It not a magic pill that is a quick, painless fix. You going to want LOVE him so much you willing to change your life around for him. A lot of people that claim they believe and love God Almighty don’t do this. That believe the lie that there no sin but they mind keep bothering them and very them no peace and that God Almighty talking to them trying to real save them.
You can over come and you read about it in the Bible. You run from sin you know he weak with. You study His words and keep his laws building a relationship with Him. You run the race and note you have to run it. You can’t say Jesus is going to do it all I just stand back (clearly he wants to have his cake and eat it too). The Bible keep telling us to chose the right, reject the wrong. Roman 1 is saying what going on with him in a deeper heart level. Until that is addressed he going to go around the same mountain like the Israelite did in the wilderness.

On my way to work ab a month or two ago I heard him on the radio he read a comment from one of the listeners who said his show and his music has been helping her a few months since the day her 14 year old son randomly died in his sleep. Donnie read this and broke down live on the air. They went to commercial and then came back and he was still crying. He ended the show sniffling and still trying to gather himself. I thought that was rare empathy he showed and appreciated hearing someone cry for a stranger and a little kid he never knew. Truth is, most “fathers” leave the child rearing to the mothers. Their presence in the home is experienced as a pit stop by the spouse and kids. But they play up the most godly and active father image outside of the home. It’s sad. The kids and spouse deserve better.
These are often the men working more hours than necessary because they can do what they want outside of the home. They tell others that their wife and kids don’t appreciate their sacrifices. The spouse and kids ARE the sacrifices. God did not intend this for marriage or families. It’s really sad.

I agree whole heartedly. When I was a teen and into my 20’s every person that I KNEW. I me personally, that was gay was because they molested or raped. If they were a boy and it was there first time then, that’s they’re experience of sexual pleasure because even though it hurt them and they didn’t want it, they more than likely still had a chemical reaction. As far as girls go, my theory is that they just became afraid of men.
Nowadays, it’s pushed on everyone and I don’t care what no one says, behavior is learned. You don’t come out the womb knowing anything regarding anything, not just sexual orientation. So beliefs and values are instilled in you by the the adults you are around, the things you see on tv, internet, radio, books, school, etc.
There’s also a Gay manifesto that was entered into congress in the late 80’s. It’s ratchet, look it up. It’s there for all view.

When God delivers someone then it's done period! You're rambling nonsense talking about God has to find the root issue and that person still has to struggle. Donnie should know that if you ask God to be a good man FIRST, then you can be a good FATHER. 🤔

Donnie is a very down to earth person. He was a customer of mine. I didn't know who he was at the time. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet him. 💗 his voice🔥😍🙏

I read that whatever age you go through major trauma at, is the age you're stuck at. This man came in the world feeling unloved (trauma), lost his bro (trauma) got violated (trauma) never got to grieve (trauma)
He needs a mother even at his age now. So sad. Hurt people, hurt people. 😢
No wonder he's one of my favourite voices, the emotion in his voice is from a real place

I pray that he finds love and companionship in the arms of a man that appreciates him, respects him and can uplift him by making him feel save to live his authentic self . May they worship together and live happily together forever in marriage-

I agree a lot of weird things go down in churches I'm still not past the part where they sent a virgin to a gay conversion camp 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 🤔🤔🤔🤔🧐🧐🧐🧐🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ Make that make sense How does he need conversion from being gay when he's never been sexual before 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 And then the sweet irony of him being raped and his virginity being stolen at the conversion camp 👿👿👿👿

Yall think everyone that preaches and go to church and claim to be a Christian is anointed. If he was truly anointed he wouldn’t be in this topic. Religious people think everyone is bad except them. When people accept everyone for who they are they won’t be judged. Judge and you will be judged. He is who he is but no human walking this earth is anointed they just want to hide behind religion.

YASS Finally some one speaks on it! Im such a Donnie fan! Amazing artist vocalist. and man of God. As a black gay man who grew up loving the church ( at one point) I always had a suspect. I hope he finds healing. There isnt any thing wrong with being queer. we are some of the most anointed and talented. unfortunately some queer men get taken advantage of at a young age because older men are attracted to the feminine energy. Thats not his fault and he should have been protected, untill he was old enough to make his own choice.

Amen I love this. This is actually a very under discussed topic. Alot of straight and gay people where church kids. Grew up in it and loved God. Being a church kid myself I remember loved ones backing away as they got older because they felt unaccepted and targeted because of their orientation. Some even lost friends and family once they came out. It's very sad. And I've always thought it was very weird that for some people it's the only thing they recognize as a sin. Meanwhile their not gay, but doing everything and more under the sun. I never thought those people should take it on their selves to talk for God. Because God loves EVERYBODY the same. And to Him, there more than one sin. There's a lot of sins. And none are greater than the other.

This whole story made my stomach hurt. As a Christian, a lover of Christ who HIMSELF loves and made us all, it makes me sick that people judge and have the need to dictate other people’s lives. I pray peace for Donnie. He is a musical genius, composer, and anointed singer. And God loves him JUST as he is. Glory to God…
