Ive always thought Bugs was a straight cool dude. But when he actually called to say he wished he was there, man just earned a whole new level of respect. Hey, You know he could help supervise and keep the boys moving... even with a bad arm! Worthy investment Id say.
I could hear Bug's voice in the back of my head telling Francisco to turn the shovel around and stop shoveling the concrete towards the house because it'll splash. It was great to hear his voice on the phone call. Can't wait til Bugs is back at 100%! I'm sure he's chomping at the bit to get back to work!
This was a great start to another amazing season. I agree it definitely isn't the same without Bugs even though he doesn't say much on camera. Keeping him in my thoughts for a speedy recovery. Thanks for bringing us along with you on another job guys and blessings to you and your family.
I do hope Buggs recovers quickly and completely, good for Eric, even though he left ya, I know you care! And we will definitely miss Mr.Bobby, hope he does much better!

Hey Brian congrats on starting your work season. I'm from Iowa we just started our work season here about 2 weeks ago. I've been finishing for 13 years now and love it. I just wanted to say we have issues here in iowa with surface Spalding due to the change of concrete. I hope you guys don't have bad luck with it but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Looks like a long season ahead of ya lol. Hope bugs has a speedy recovery. I know what it's like to have your right hand man missing. Best of luck to the season for all concrete guys. We all need a little luck once and awhile.
Back in the early 2000's we used Artcrete Color Hardner and when we ran a mag over it there was a rainbow of colors from the little pellets.. Bucket after bucket. All we could do is rub it in wasting time and energy. What a disaster.
Had my cdl since 2000. Live on east coast maryland our weather is unpredictable to. And I used to do concrete to 9 years, curb gutter and side walk ,steps ,patios , etc
Awesome to see some concrete being laid. As much as we are glad to see your videos, I am sure that you are glad to be pouring concrete. Look forward to seeing more great videos to come. Easy money!

Down here in Ontario, Canada we also use air-entrainment additives, it creates microscopic air bubbles which helps with the freeze/thaw cycles and durability to the concrete also helps with scaling and improves workability.
Hey Ryan, I work for a Cement Manufacturer down here in Florida, we have made a big push to the limestone cement this past year as well (almost all customers: converted) they have done lots of testing on the cement to make sure the quality is there if not better, also import cement from lafarge for resale and are getting the same cement! Best of luck this season!
@@vancomycinb Limestone is not the best of the fillers out there. Due to raw material supplies and what type of fillers are locally available, cement producers are making a shift to a more sustainable binder system. I live in The Netherlands and we are on ration regarding use of CEM I. This is not just from a sustainable perspective but also shortages in supply. In NL we are already introducing bindersystems with 3 components in them and 'just' 20% CEM I and maintaining strength characteristics. But with Ryan, strength wise al may be okay but exposure wise....we are not there yet.
In all honesty, you deserve a good group of at least 10 guys to work with you. You provide such a great work environment, you do great work, you pay well(from what I can see), and you treat your employees well.
You need multiple jobs going on per day to be able to pay 10 guys on pay roll. And then you lose the control over your finished product if you’re running multiple crews Ryan is a bit short handed without bugs but really only needs a cdl driver and another seasoned concrete guy or apprentice
Good luck this year Ryan and thank you for all the positivity you bring to everyone. Seeing how you are with your family is inspirational for me. I have 4 young children. Happy Easter
Hey Ryan , here in Omaha,Ne where it can get to -32 wind chills almost every winter with many inches of snow . We have been using a 10% limestone mix for years for my fathers company and everything holds up well. It’s the standard for many residential companies here. ex: patios , driveways, footings.
I have a family of mice who winter in my backyard barn and have for the 12 years I have rented this house. They always get into my grass seed so I started putting a roll of paper towels for them to insulate. They don't bother anything else and I ain't putting the grass seed in my garage.
Well good video was watching boarder view farms and they had automated machine to level concrete. Seems to knock out several truck loads quickly (maybe two hours)
