- For some Nintendo 64 games, the Controller Pak, or memory card, is all bus useless. But for others like WCW/NWO World Tour, Castlevania, Beetle Adventure Racing, Mystical Ninja 64, and a whole lot more, having a memory card is an absolute must. Not going to lie, after the MemCard PRO when I saw a video about a product called "Forever Pak 64" I was hoping it was something similar, a device that lets you have "infinite" memorycards for your N64 by writing them to a MicroSD card that you can easily backup to your PC, not just a modern 3rd party N64 Memory Pak that's non-volatile but otherwise has no other features from the originals. Especially since it costs $38 while the MemCard PRO costs $50.
I'm hopeing someday there will be a n64 memory card with unlimited save spots

Is there really a market for such a pak? I don't see there being a MemCardPro like there is for the GC because of the limited use of the memory pak for the N64.
@@erik3371 the N64 has a limit built in. There's paks that have a swap switch where you can switch between paks by hitting the switch.
I love these products that come to solve problems of the past, however they should have added at least one micro USB port to be able to transfer easily from the PC.

Why is it so expensive? It clearly shouldn’t cost that much to manufacture them
Does it work with games like banjo tooie? My game is not in the best of shape and it's only a matter of time before it dies on me completely. Can I use this to transfer my old file into a new cartridge?
If you're talking about game saves, then yes. This is a memory card. It won't allow you to transfer a game to a new cartridge though, if that's what you're asking.
It's nice, but I didn't really play a lot of N64 games that ever used the Memory Cards.
For those that use an everdrive are these worth it considering you can back up memory pak saves to the sd card?
My original memory card doesn’t reliably hold saves so this product has been great. Just need one and the everdrive is great to backup all your saves
I use a game shark that lets me put all my Zelda save data on a forever pak.
Add rumble function and I’ll buy 4 of them. Just saying.
If the expansion pak for the wireless brawler 64 goes into the dongle ... Does that mean the controller doesn't support rumble?
The Brawler64 does not support the rumble pak.
What is this external memory pak called at 4:00? I'd be interested in one, as I have a retrofighter controller.

could this theoretically translate to battery-save cartridges?
It wouldn't be easy. You would need to find some way to solder flash memory to an existing cart. There are repro carts like that though
