I love Megaman X4. I believe it was my first Megaman game... even though I was REALLY bad at it as a kid. Sky Lagoon is SO GOOD!!! It's served as X's theme well for more than one occasion.
My 10 most favorite games in the series, in no particular order, would have to be as follows: - Megaman X - Megaman 8 - Megaman X4 - Megaman 3 - Megaman Battle Network 2 - Megaman Star Force 2 - Megaman X3 (PS1/PC port) - Megaman X Command Mission - Megaman 6 - Megaman Network Transmission Honorable mentions would probably go out to Star Force 3, Megaman X6, Battle Network 3, and both of the Legends games. But as my absolute favorite video game franchise of all time, I still love ALL of them, despite some of their flaws

Of the SNES X trilogy, my favorite was X2. Something about X2’s Armor and weapons was just...more fun to me. X3 would have been above if it didn’t kick me in the groin so much early on.

The Megaman Zero subseries is the best subseries Megaman has to offer. The only problem I have with it is the dialogue in the English version. It's kinda off, but at least it's in English and not Engrish.

So when I got the Megaman zero series I kind of got it backwards. I got Mega Man Zero 3 November of 2006 when I was in senior in high school, then I got Mega Man Zero 4 in Christmas of 07, and then Megaman zero 2 summer of 2008. I'm very fortunate that I have this on my Nintendo switch now and I intend to do an LP on this series someday
Great list Adam. Whilst I've only really gotten into the Classic and X series I still have a lot to love about them. And what do you know, we both share favourite games of those respective series. X4 is the pure pinnacle of that series for me, and I love the HECK out of Mega Man 9, one of my favourite games of all time.

Megaman 9 is also my favorite, FUCKING AWESOME OST EVERYWHERE, the revival of the old mechanics, and the most FUCKING OP weapons, those eight weapons together in a game makes Metal Blades cry in my opinion, Most of the times I reached Dr Wily's bosses with 0 energy on ALL the weapons, with those weapons why would you like to use Mega Buster?, even Plug Shot and Magmazooka (even when they are the most useless weapons in the game) they saved me several times Megaman 8 may killed Megaman, but it revived at max with it's ninth game Now to wait Megaman 11
There’s a great megaman fan game that I think is overlooked simply because it’s a crossover. Mega pony. It has surprisingly good controls as well as weight in the jump and the bosses are very interesting and challenging. I very strongly suggest you doing a let’s play of the game.

Great video QG. I really didn't expect the #1 spot on the list. For me my favorite Mega Man game will always be Megaman ZX. The style, tone, story and characters just resonate with me. Ironically though I first learned about the game's existence through a throwaway line on a Quarter Guy video (Top ten hated characters I think). Thanks QG, you united me with my dream Megaman game.
Michał G I know right! Luckily some youtubers have more recently done videos on the game. For instance Clement did a let's play of ZX and ZX Advent and did a pretty good job. And Dookieshed did an entertaining overview of the game. So who knows maybe it'll now be a bit less underrated now.
Richard Nalls People focus too much on the map navigation problem in the game where it's a small flaw in the sea of awesomeness. Also the game got less than great reviews from mainstream media just because the games were too similar to the X and Zero series, but when New Super Mario Bros. came out on NDS it got great scores even though it innovated a lot less. Talk about hypocrisy.
Michał G My issue with people saying it's too similiar to the X and Zero series is that very few people complained about similarity in regards to both of those series. The first X game was pretty much a carbon copy of the classic series save for the intro level which didn't become a thing in the classic series till 7. The Zero series had a lot of tweaks and changes but most of those were simply masking the fact that it was still Megaman. Structurally speaking the first Zero game was the most different with its whole mission progression system. Then there's the people who say ZX undermines the Zero series. Which is absurd. ZX takes place over a century after Zero 4. The point of the Zero series was to bring reploids and humans together so they could make a better world. Acting as if nothing else would ever happen ever is ridiculous. At least ZX got a new cast of characters instead of bringing Zero back from the dead... again. ZX isn't perfect by any means especially with its mission system and lack of a useful map of the world, but personally I think deserves more credit for finally focusing the story on someone other than X and Zero and putting more meat into the game than just going after bosses. But that's just my opinion.
Geo and Omega-xis also appeared in a DS Japanese only remake of Battle Network 1 called Rockman.exe Operation Shooting Star where you fight a new bad guy called Time Man.exe that brings Starforce into the world of Battle Network
I love MM3. I'm currently playing through 4 (which I think I'd rank higher than 2 but lower than 3) but I miss MM3. Once I've worked my way through more of the Classic series maybe I'll go back to it.
The slide to me is the best tool ever devised, I hope that MM11 gives us fans at least that to get our rush back into our favorite series the gameplay we sincerely desire and deserve!!

It only looks like either arm because of ambidextrous sprites. Mega Man is left-handed because of how his game works, with the exception of Battle Network. When he does his Final Smash, notice how every Mega Man except for .EXE shoots with his left. The Smash developers did not forget this little detail.
No, literally both can be busters. Even at the same time. In Smash 4, for his Down Smash (Forget whether it's called Flame Burst or Blast) that uses Fire Man's weapon, he uses BOTH arms as Busters.
I agree 100% with Mega Man 9 It had GENIUS level design, and most of your weapons could serve as utilities also. It was also the first Mega man game I ever beat (the second one being Mega Man 2)

If any at all, the only gripe I could even have is including the battle network stuff, only because, it's Mega Man, even just hearing the name alone slaps our brains with the acknowledgement of Being the best ACTION PLATFORMER ever conceived. Don't get me wrong, the Battle Network series is fantastic, so is the Legend series But games like MM3(The Blue Bomber's grand opus) could have earned their rightful spots... 11:54 Sometimes I do a Busterless (no Mega Arm) run of the game, and it helps with killing Neptune. NOTHING ELSE. Also, a busterless run of Mega Man V (Gameboy) is completely possible.
Gonna be honest: a lot of your Mega Man videos were real cringefests. It was nice to watch a video that was down-to-earth and to-the-point without the pointless jokes and skits. Also, all the props for putting 9 at the top. Fuckin A it's the best one.

Not a bad list. However, I do think the stretched footage distorts the image too much. I personally would've preferred if you kept the footage at its original aspect ratio. You can put border in the black space if you want to fill the screen with something, but border or no border, it looks better than having Mega Man stretched.

Megaman 9 is also my favorite, FUCKING AWESOME OST EVERYWHERE, the revival of the old mechanics, and the most FUCKING OP weapons, those eight weapons together in a game makes Metal Blades cry in my opinion, Most of the times I reached Dr Wily's bosses with 0 energy on ALL the weapons, with those weapons why would you like to use Mega Buster?, even Plug Shot and Magmazooka (even when they are the most useless weapons in the game) they saved me several times
Megaman 8 may killed Megaman, but it revived at max with it's ninth game

There’s a great megaman fan game that I think is overlooked simply because it’s a crossover. Mega pony. It has surprisingly good controls as well as weight in the jump and the bosses are very interesting and challenging. I very strongly suggest you doing a let’s play of the game.
I played all of megaman 6 and my favorite robot masters were knight, tomahawk, and Yamato man.

Michał G I know right! Luckily some youtubers have more recently done videos on the game. For instance Clement did a let's play of ZX and ZX Advent and did a pretty good job. And Dookieshed did an entertaining overview of the game. So who knows maybe it'll now be a bit less underrated now.
Richard Nalls People focus too much on the map navigation problem in the game where it's a small flaw in the sea of awesomeness.
Also the game got less than great reviews from mainstream media just because the games were too similar to the X and Zero series, but when New Super Mario Bros. came out on NDS it got great scores even though it innovated a lot less. Talk about hypocrisy.
Michał G My issue with people saying it's too similiar to the X and Zero series is that very few people complained about similarity in regards to both of those series. The first X game was pretty much a carbon copy of the classic series save for the intro level which didn't become a thing in the classic series till 7.
The Zero series had a lot of tweaks and changes but most of those were simply masking the fact that it was still Megaman. Structurally speaking the first Zero game was the most different with its whole mission progression system. Then there's the people who say ZX undermines the Zero series. Which is absurd. ZX takes place over a century after Zero 4. The point of the Zero series was to bring reploids and humans together so they could make a better world. Acting as if nothing else would ever happen ever is ridiculous. At least ZX got a new cast of characters instead of bringing Zero back from the dead... again.
ZX isn't perfect by any means especially with its mission system and lack of a useful map of the world, but personally I think deserves more credit for finally focusing the story on someone other than X and Zero and putting more meat into the game than just going after bosses. But that's just my opinion.
You say that, but fighting Omega on hard mode in ZX never gets old.
Geo and Omega-xis also appeared in a DS Japanese only remake of Battle Network 1 called Rockman.exe Operation Shooting Star where you fight a new bad guy called Time Man.exe that brings Starforce into the world of Battle Network

I love MM3. I'm currently playing through 4 (which I think I'd rank higher than 2 but lower than 3) but I miss MM3. Once I've worked my way through more of the Classic series maybe I'll go back to it.
The slide to me is the best tool ever devised, I hope that MM11 gives us fans at least that to get our rush back into our favorite series the gameplay we sincerely desire and deserve!!

The Mega Buster should be on the left arm.
Both his arms can be Busters. He can actually go full on Gunslinger and use both Busters. Which could kill him.
It only looks like either arm because of ambidextrous sprites. Mega Man is left-handed because of how his game works, with the exception of Battle Network. When he does his Final Smash, notice how every Mega Man except for .EXE shoots with his left. The Smash developers did not forget this little detail.
No, literally both can be busters. Even at the same time. In Smash 4, for his Down Smash (Forget whether it's called Flame Burst or Blast) that uses Fire Man's weapon, he uses BOTH arms as Busters.

MM 6 finalized the super-powered evolution of the most ingenious revolutionary gaming concept ever conceived(Yeah, STAGE SELECT, BOSSES, WEAKNESSES!?, ACTION PLATFORMING, MUSICAL VISIONARY AND ALLUSIONS!?,WHAAAA?!) X4, taking the maximum effort to its peak, both visually and conceptually. THANK YOU QG! If any at all, the only gripe I could even have is including the battle network stuff, only because, it's Mega Man, even just hearing the name alone slaps our brains with the acknowledgement of Being the best ACTION PLATFORMER ever conceived. Don't get me wrong, the Battle Network series is fantastic, so is the Legend series But games like MM3(The Blue Bomber's grand opus) could have earned their rightful spots... Mega Man is Mega Man alone, not with words following the name, except for a letter or a number, never words though.....(Bass is gonna kill me). 11:54 Sometimes I do a Busterless (no Mega Arm) run of the game, and it helps with killing Neptune. NOTHING ELSE. Also, a busterless run of Mega Man V (Gameboy) is completely possible.
Mega Man 6 is my fav. There is also Mighty Gunvolt Burst but that technically isn't a Mega Man game.

Not a bad list. However, I do think the stretched footage distorts the image too much. I personally would've preferred if you kept the footage at its original aspect ratio. You can put border in the black space if you want to fill the screen with something, but border or no border, it looks better than having Mega Man stretched.
