Once you begin to exercise your face, just like your body, the resting position is adjusted. Minor changes can have a major overall impact. This is what I see here. Her overall demeanor and posture has improved, which obviously improved her confidence and attitude. This is ultimately what makes people more attractive.

What about African communities that prize overweight women?
I would have said that they both have an underlying objective logic which can be modified by subjective fetishization. I think the objective part is literally just recognition-based, like having a symmetrical face. People can even see faces in rock formations etc. As a side note, I think that is why "conventionally attractive" people are treated better, because the subconscious has an easier time perceiving their human-like traits and therefore applying empathetic responses more commonly.
Whereas the subjective stuff like for example is based on upbringing and can change these in-grained responses, like a parent figure that showed you a lot of love could have a highly-asymmetrical face.
In terms of body, even how muscular or how fat seems to be inherently subjective.

Botha Both Both + Alex Talbot - “hot bod” is kind of subjective depending on the country/culture, true :) But I assumed it was obvious that we were discussing the version of “hot bod” that the majority of the world puts on the all kinds of media. I don’t need to be lectured, folks. I’m aware that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Her comment in the video just made me laugh. Take a chill pill.

The reason they keep talking about the smile and lighting is BECAUSE those factors could very well be why the after photo looks better/more attractive. People advertising their workout/diet plans use smoke and mirrors like that to make people look way more attractive in after shots. The audience is just asking her to remove any factors that can cause doubt.

I think I have to release my tongue tie to be able to, and hopefully let the retainer go in time.
Do you know if you have got good tongue posture during sleep?
I can measure it by how my retainer fits and also noticed when half asleep.
Happy mewing! Looking forward to your next update 🙂

Combining Mewing and Diaphragmatic Breathing should improve overall Health of Mind & Body.
Diaphragmatic Breathing is used to improve and control partially the Parasympathetic Nervous System, and should naturally get rid of stress throughout the day and at sleep.

First of all, I have been interested in mewing since the previous year. But somehow, I stopped after doing it for a few weeks or even a month. But since I started to work out regularly and keeping in mind to get things done, not procrastinating anymore, believing in myself more, setting the deadlines and TO-DO lists, I do hope that I will retain in my mewing journey more! And that I get finally used to that tongue position, hehe, since I personally think that to hold it is the most difficult thing for me to do. Even a second of distraction can lead to an improper position xD
Second of all, I watched all of your mewing journey and also visited your IG profile. Congratulations to your 14,4K subs already, since you mentioned on your IG that you have 13K ♥ I am a new follower too, btw, haha. I truly do love your aesthetics, simplicity and positive energy you bring ♥ Be it photos, your way of talking, videos´ edits etc. I am truly glad that I discovered your channel and your persona today ♥
I do remember me trying to be straight and have a proper posture and .. here I am .. I had been practising a straight tall posture back in the high school and I don´t even know how and I have been doing it subconsciously for quite a years now :-) Standing straight and properly is such a good feeling ♥
Also, I like that "quote" of yours that facial beauty is subjective but having a hot body is universal :-DD Sooo true, haha!
You also inspired me to do a few more lifestyle articles for my blog and posts for my IG, so thank you very much ♥ Can´t wait to see a new content of yours ♥ Best regards from Slovakia ♥

It’s basically correct oral posture. You put your tongue on the roof of your mouth and close your mouth to breathe thru your nose instead of mouth-breathing. There have been lots of reports of ppl having aesthetic benefits from mewing, particularly when they started young and did it for extended periods of time

Momo’s Bangs nope. Some people do, but a lot of people breathe with their mouths and their tongues stay in the floors of their mouth

Mewing is a process which improves you jaw structure when you place your tongue on the roof of your mouth at all times. To understand this better, the tongue position while you make the 'ngg' or 'k' sounds with your mouth.. that tongue position should be kept at all times

Speech language pathologist here.. what you're describing is oromyofunctional therapy. Proper lingual resting position, swallowing solids, and swallowing liquids correctly affect palatial development, dentition, jaw line, nasal passage development, facial development, etc. You might get more information if you look up oromyofunctional therapy.

I feel sorry for you having such a bunch of jerks in this feed. Using the muscles in your face it definitely going to improve your looks. I started this technique a few months ago and I already notice I breath better through my nose and my neck muscles are tighter and I'm OLD. Thanks for your honest and thorough information and ignore the haters!

When you put your retainer back on after a couple of months of mewing, did you see any facial changes or any changes in general?

  • @Arkhs
    @Arkhs 4 ปีที่แล้ว +21

I can't put my finger on it but there is definitely some beneficial change. Gives me hope because I'm also 29.
Recently I've also started training my non-dominant eye too, in an attempt to reduce facial asymmetry. When one eye is too dominant. instead of changing visual feeds when looking left and right you just turn your head so that your dominant eye can do the work. Basically causing the neck muscles to have asymmetrical force most of the time/altered posture.
Thought you might want to know because I think it makes a great accompaniment to mewing, as they're both using the same muscles. I.e. the sternocleidomastoid, the external muscles of the tongue and the suprahyoid muscles.

Wow. I think your video helped me fo understand what I was doing wrong. I was putting too much pressure on the front part of the tongue, but the other way, the pressure must go on the deep cavity behind the teeth. It's like the space you feel directly under your nasal bone. So it's really the middle/back part of the tongue.

Hi, thank you for posting the update. I also have been mewing for a year and noticed similar progress. I first saw your 3 month progress video and was exited to see the 1 year after. I also noticed my face look fuller with cheekbones more defined in upper and lower. A very positive difference I would say. I love how meying seems to open up my nasal airways. Id love to see more progress updates. I find my teeth line up better but not straighter. I have a lower wire and considered removing it but I think ill keep it after seeying your experience. My retainers don't fit! Thanks again!

I started mewing 2 months ago. I have a bad double chin and jawline as I always breath through my mouth for my entire life, because I suffer from sinusitis. As for me, I did observe a difference, quite a lot actually. My face became symmetrical, my chin is now more defined, and I used to have cliff chin when I was younger, now it's back. But can't quite assure my jawline though, can't still see it on my side profile.

Whats was your changes that noticed first? Is my changes was similar to yours?

Consider working with an orofacial myofunctional therapist, they can teach you about tongue posture. Or look up "the spot."

I am also working on my posture and that's how i found your videos. Do you breathe through your nose with your mouth closed? I'm a little confused about the breathing thing. I never thought about tongue posture much before, but I always have rested my tongue on the roof of my mouth and do not have problems breathing.

Now my tongue has learnt how to stay stick to palate n l dont need to put effort for this.
Another thing which l observed is mewing has some effect on nasal broadening.so beware if that.
