As faithful as the physics seem to the classics, one thing I DON'T want to see return is the strict ceiling crush detection. Everyone knows the pain of running top speed through a level, only to die because they ran into a gap that's slightly shorter than Sonic's height.

Yeah, I agree with the console thing. Like every cross platform game, Nintendo’s consoles is the one where the game has the worst performance compared to other consoles.

Only 8 zones? That’s only 16 levels which is really short considering Sonic 2 had 12 zones with 21 separate levels in total and Sonic 3&K had 14 zones with 25 levels in total

Most of you worries are things you don't need to worry every stages is new, the price is 60 dollars but you have to keep in mind that this game have things that Mania did, for what I heard every character have a different opening and ending, in Mania only Sonic have a different ending, the Sonic 1 special stage you can play the all game and never see them just don't just on that hole above the checkpoint pole, is the other special stage that have the chaos emeralds, repeating bosses Sonic doesn't do that in the same game, I could keep going but most if this worries you don't need to have them this game wouid have problem and I heard something that is a negative (co-op is local only, there is no internet co-op) but everything else is still good.

My biggest criticism would be only four playable characters and three males vs 1 female. Sonic has the huge cast of very diverse characters, so why not use it? Most "Speed" and "Fly" type characters play out exactly the same anyways, with only minor differences, and I'm afraid they will serve some of them as paid DLC...
