Thank you . I am 8 months post stroke and have had fatigue from day one. I thought I'd go back to my old life on release from the hospital and my biggest struggle has been coming to terms with the reality that I can't.

I want to thank you for an honest assessment of fatigue after a stroke. I was active before the stroke so having to gauge your daily strength was 17:33 difficult. So plan, pace and rest when necessary is the a key. I hope this goes away but, a stroke is a major thing.

Hi and again many thanks for your video. I'm really struggling with Post Stroke Fatigue at the moment, so it's good to know that I'm not the only one and that many are 'in the same boat'. As a result of watching your videos and doing a small amount of my own research I also know that I have Limb Kinetic Apraxia. But it's the fatigue that is the main problem. It's so relentless! And so debilitating. Doing 'simple' tasks like for instance loading or unloading the dishwasher leave me feeling totally and utterly drained! I need to sleep at least four hours per day and then can't get to sleep properly at night. I'm bouncing around all over the place from Hypersomnia to Insomnia and back again!

i told my family that it takes 5x more
energy to do anything. and that i tire out like a baby growing all the new pathways- sometimes i just run out of gas and have to rest. i try to do what i normally did but it takes longer- shoppjng, errands, chores and driving can be very stressful.

@@wompol7117It's been 2 weeks since I had my TIA and I'm still pretty tired despite plenty of sleep. The brain fog is also really annoying.

I finally know that I have post stroke fatigue. I experienced that almost immediately after my stroke. Just like you when you got home from your stroke I thought Life would just go back to normal. I thought I could cook dinner and clean up the house and do everything like I did pre-stroke, Boy was a ever hit with a hard dose of reality when I couldn’t even stand for five minutes to make dinner or stand for more than five minutes at the sink to wash the dishes or even try to get out of my basement apartment because I had to climb 10 steps up to the door. I couldn’t climb those steps by myself, because I almost felt like I was tumbling backwards and thank goodness my husband was always there to catch me. So I felt trapped in my basement apartment for quite a long time because I couldn’t climb the steps myself. I am still experiencing post stroke fatigue and it’s driving me crazy. I always beat myself up because why am I taking a nap in the middle of the afternoon at 1 o’clock. Or I have this crazy insomnia, which I wake up at 3:30 in the morning mostly every day and even if I get what I think is an adequate amount of sleep, I wake up feeling more tired than when I went to bed. I hate the stroke fatigue and I know I can’t do anything about it after watching video, that there is no magic pill, and no fairy dust to help me with it. Feeling really sad about that.

I had post stroke fatigue but it has been improving over a few days. I am taking short term disability off from work.

Mine didn't really hit in full force til 4 yrs after. Just got so tired... Mine was a navy related head injury. But my medical records burned up in the Ohio fire.... Now what?
