Where is the class action suit regarding this problem...this is unacceptable from. A "premium " car company. If their smart they'd fix this unless they want to loose big business in the near future

As an owner of a 2018 s5 copue it's time for us owners to demand a recall fix or class action law suit simply because this wasn't disclosed and can lead to other major problems including and not limited to engine damage or failure.

And you *could* get hit by a truck too but how likely is that to happen? Probably as likely as these are to fail on your car. There’s a reason the forums aren’t awash with videos and complaints…it’s just the same two videos, one of which is by a garage that beat the crap out of owners cars and spread misinformation - getting the picture yet?

Not common, this engine has been in a VAG product since 2016 and there have been 2019s with the old revision as well. There are so many out there the failure amount is miniscule, alot of people and I mean quite a bit of people mix up the hpfp/injector tick with rocker arm failure due to posts on social media. Thanks for the vid btw for an easy check going forward.

This isn't a big of an issue as the internet would lead you to believe. Audi has made 100's of thousands of variations of this engine world wide and the failure percentage isn't that high even if we don't know the exact number. Obviously, people who have issues are going to be louder than those who don't. I have well over 100K on my modified B9 and you shouldn't be scared of owning one.

@@princebamb1672 Hey yeah when I got the car there were some pre existing problems that I found a month or two later. The engine oil filter housing which is in the engine bay was leaking around the seal causing oil to pool up in the engine and then the drip came from under the front passenger seat. They just had to replace the housing, gasket, and screws. Motor mounts were leaking hydraulic fluid, they had to replace those. The seat belt tensioner in the drivers seat was faulty so it caused the pre-sense to not work. Outside of this I’m at 54k miles now and the car is great! My one complaint about it is the interior rattles. The doors, trim pieces, seat belt covers, trunk, and roof all rattle and creak in their own ways. I’ve done a good job at taking things apart and applying felt tape or butyl rubber to it to silence the car and it’s noticeably better. Will be taking the car in to figure out why my roof making a weird popping noise the first time I drive it after it’s been parked overnight. I drive the car hard often, it’s hard not to lol, performs and handles like a champ, wish Audi could have gotten the interior up to par with my moms Subaru which is dead silent on the interior lol. If you have any questions about the rattles or problems with the car let me know, I’ve became quite knowledgeable about common problems and how to take things apart to fix them, outside of the engine bay which is way too crowded for me to do anything by myself.
