Na, an absolute must is a sliding bed, any one who has used one of these will know you need to be able to slide that seat forward so you can store you gear behind it, save all that lashing down in the middle of the van, also if you have passengers you don’t want them at the back end of that tunnel ! Also why do they put such large 2 hob sinks In ? There really is no need, 1 hob and a small sink is fine for any couple, I would say solar and electric hob, 2 batteries and electric hook up, a half decent inverter and you are fine!
That perfectly sums up a lot what I say. Everyone is different and has different preferences. The New California is said to only have one hob and people are complaining, yet many won't even use the 1. Agree with the sliding bed, it's a great thing to have if done correctly
Hi Steve a superb video and very informative about all of our conversions as always buddy 😁 Hopefully I’ll see you when your over our way in the near future 😊😉
Ohh I do like the transit. Just found your channel this weekend and have watched several now. Very informative blogs. I see you met Campervan Time on a recent video😄, decent channel also. Defo be looking out for more new videos along with the back catalogue.
Thank you, nice to have you along for the journey 😀 The larger van does help. I like it also. They are a lovely couple and look forward to meeting up with them soon
That VW final edition is very similar layout to my 2014 Camper King Adventure Trek lwb. Mine is the same colour as well with the black on white and black alloys.
@@marks-0-0 very few. I imagine less than 20 between all of them (that’s the brand new, which NCC approved is) Some don’t have any and others just 1 or 2. There will still be some conversions done to the panel van stock left, so other converters will still have a supply. More on that coming up soon actually (next week)
@@StaycationLifestyle if I bit the bullet and got a new T6.1 Kombi I'd keep it stock and just enjoy it. I'm not really fussed as I've still got my T4 but making a factory order would be the way to go as there isn't alot of choice from inventory now.
Enjoyed the video, very informative. Personally I wouldn't buy a van that size, they are too small and cramped in my opinion. Each to their own of course.
Just another note I have a vw 2015 T6 LWB 140bhp camper, it’s done 128,000 miles, was a work van before conversion, our work van is a Ford Transit 2020 done just 13,000 miles, my VW feels tighter/newer, smoother, it’s also faster and nearly 10mpg more frugal, my VW is also Faster 🤷♂️ I am not anti Ford at all, in fact I considered buying one, the Ford has been back to Ford a number of times, (red lights on dash, Ford badge on boot fell off, windscreen wash broke, number of trim parts are now in the glove box, and guess what the door rubbers have fallen off 🤷♂️ the transit is bigger and it’s infotainment system is better. Just food for thought. In this same amount of time I have had no issues with my van !
I have the 140 also. Some say it's the one to have. I'm not against Ford either, I do prefer VW, but like the way the Ford drives. Reliability wise I have spoken to many diehards of each brand and they will each say their choice is the best and it's the other with the problems 😂
@@StaycationLifestyle haha yes your right, don’t tell a Ford person your VW is better 😱 and I really do appreciate you pay your money and take your chances with any vehicle, no matter it’s make. It’s interesting you prefer the Ford to drive, I much prefer my VW. But as a VW die hard waver I would say they 🤣
A lot of vans have the panel there. When parked up, people use the area you are suggesting to place items. So it being on the side away from the back is convenient. I understand what you mean and some do have it there
@@thesmudge1353 that’s good, as it sold 😂 Like all these conversions, they aren’t for everyone, we all have different tastes. However regardless of whether people like the conversion itself, the developments that have been made regarding the components will benefit many future owners, no doubt in other conversions when they start using them too

Out of curiosity how many T6's do you thnk these companies have un converted in storage or yet to be delivered?

@staycation Lifestyle have you considered a larger van like a Crafter or Boxer etc?
Everyday 🤣
I love the idea of one, but my van is currently my daily driver. If I could have a separate daily, then I would love a Crafter

I think i need to be a designer..why put heater lcd panel where you need to lean & twist..window side in my opinion much better

Great features, but i expect they push up the price?
Those features are all standard. Leather is an option, but the other items are standard 👍🏼
Anyone wanting a double passenger seat either has never sat in one for any length of time or they intensely dislike their passengers.
END of a ERA 🥲🥲🥲🥲
It sure is
Someone might like it. I don't.
