The biggest error/comment I have seen/heard is people buying a van and working on it for ages to make it 'perfect' and not spending a night away in it. Let's face it, an empty van is 100 times more comfortable than a 0.5mm semi-weatherproof tent.
Hi Steve, I've just got home from a lovely weekend in Southwold away with the van and the wife again. Last weekend, i was at a volkswagan festival, and the weekend before that i was in Dorset and Norwich with the van ,i certainly do get about a bit with my kombi camper. And 4 weeks ago I was touring around Ireland. I have made a conscious effort to get as much use out of my van as possible. It was an extremely expensive purchase and i wasn't going to let it live on the driveway and get used a handful of times a year .in just over 2 years we have travelled 30,000 miles and in the last 2 weekends ive covered 645 miles .my van doesn't turn a wheel Monday to Friday its a weekend getaway and holiday vehicle. I have so many holidays now its crazy it feels like i do 5 days then disappear at the weekends. It's by far the best decision I've ever made. My life is so much better now my mental health is better too .dub life is life, and im living my best life ever .?I ?can't believe it took me so long to get a transporter. My Van Haven built t6.1 t32 204 dsg lwb highline kombi camper swamper is my dream vehicle ❤ i can't see a day when i won't have a transporter
@@shanewaller2864 That’s pretty impressive for weekend only (mainly) travel. You’re a perfect example of “lifestyle choice.” For the money you spent on your van, you could have bought and done a tremendous amount of things, it you chose the campervan lifestyle 👍🏼😀
The chapter titles don't seem to have much or any relation to what's being said - I think the chapter titles are accidentally from a previous video about the state of the market.
Bed and insulation are the most important things. My VW LWB has fridge, hobs, 240v sockets, toilet, 4 beds, table seating. Cost a lot of money, but ultimately bed and bottled water is all thats needed, and maybe the heater 😂
@@ionutb123 I’m thinking the same size, as I need it as a daily driver also. Would love something bigger, but that would mean I need a car also. I mean a camper with everything permanently installed, like the Cali Ocean. I’m looking forward to seeing the new one. I like what I’ve seen
@StaycationLifestyle ty for the reply. got it. I like it as well. The only thing that i would like is the awd, but that is only available with the hybrid. That's another 10k extra, i think. What's your view on awd? I'm not thinking of going offroad but just to feel safe that i will not get stuck after a rain or idk... :)
@@ionutb123 AWD is nice to have but not essential. As great as it can be for extra traction on wet grass, sand, gravel, snow etc, how often do you encounter those situations? If regularly, then worth the consideration
Hi I've been looking ages now for a vw campervan and came across one,a tdi 4motion but someone said stay clear as things go wrong and uses more fuel Is this correct in your opinion? Tia

@@sitrepSNAFU I’ve heard people doing that also 🤣Although I think most do actually use it in progress.

@@richardemerson8075 I have just looked and there aren’t any chapters added. It must be a TH-cam problem, I will add some to solve it. Thank you 👍🏼
@@StaycationLifestyle Ok! Yeah you're right, just a TH-cam issue, I refreshed the page a few times and the chapters are gone now
Really appreciate you letting me know. I have quickly added some different ones (correct ones, ish)

Hi there, I love your videos. What do you have in mind when you say that you need a full camper? Are you thinking of something bigger or a Cali Ocean?

Sound advice thanks
Surly this is all common sense, or am I missing something.
