I tried using this plugin to reduce cassette tape hiss from the language tapes that I digitised by transferring to PC. It wasn't convincing, in that it slightly reduced top-end and produced audio artifacts. I found that using a gate plugin was better. I initially tried using the free GGate, but it failed to completely remove hiss from the first few microseconds of wanted sound. Then I tried (the also free) ReaGate, and it was perfect.
it is a balancing act. If the noise isn't terrible while the focus audio is playing, a gate it probably the best solution, And something i use on every single VO i record anyway.
No. But X-Click can catch some of that. You can also use something like Fabfilter DS with a really narrow band to catch it. But honestly those things need to be edited out the old way most of the time.
Thank u I brought the ns1 noise suppressor and that also been getting majority out even thou I found that smack are located in the high frequency so I ended up buying the emo f2 filter because it says it targets the highs so imma see how it goes and I was going to get the X I still may depending on wat happens & yea u right I also get a lot out by manual splitting and fading in Abelton. Thanks for the reply
Great question. More because people looking for this (generally speaking) will be looking to fix an issue they already have. So i didn't feel telling them to get a noise profile would be that helpful. But yes its good practise. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the useful explanation of how to work with X-Noise. But wow, your audio voicetrack is hard to listen to on a decent audio system. Very tinny and sibilant. Ouch. Shoemaker's children?
What are you struggling with in music production?
Reverb settings for vocals. Using TrueVerb plugin, but open to other options
@@phoenixthepoet333 what’s the struggle though?

y m i getting a latency when i use x noise its delaying my vocals a bit ?
It’s not designed to be used in real time. Or your plug-in latency is switched off 🤷♂️
I’m looking to remove lip smacking is this for that as well?

Hi, there seems to be a slight delay when I put it on a track
Plugin delay compensation is needed. Sounds like it’s not set on your DAW
why u didn't take a noise profile first?

What's the difference between this and Z-Noise?
Z allows control over the profile.
@@Unders ok, thanks.
