Nice flight. Your pre-flight trimming looked to be pretty good, and your fall color was great. I have to admit I thought your gopro being that far out on the wing was going to be a deal breaker, but it worked. Congrats!! Liked and subscribed!
Had to go into the archives for my Musky Bob fix. Hope all is well and the snow is melting. I got out for the first time yesterday and maidened my Turbo Timber. What a sweet flying machine!
oh boy, i dont remember much, i now have an nx8. i set my planes up haphazardly, fly out of trim, barely preflight 'em, i'm a bad source for information.
I had to use a bit of Gorilla Glue on my AeroScout as well. Rookie mistake. I thought I was taking off in beginner mode but was actually in Advanced Mode. Took a nose dive on me. Good thing the motor and prop were behind the wing on this trainer plane. That won't happen again.
I love my carbon cub 2s. You added a camera to yours. Might I ask what you used to capture this video? I like that it includes audio. I don’t need fpv today, I just want to watch my flights like you are doing.
that was an old gopro,since then i went to using runcams, much lighter, the audio is a voice-over, done at home, as i watch,using video editing software, thanks for watching, good luck
@@muskybob8726 Hi Muskybob - I have been looking at the RunCam Thumb Pro FPV Mini Action Camera 4K 16g however it takes 5VDC but does not include a battery. There are lots of possible ways to do this but I have yet to find a clean method that does not add weight. Were you able to power your camera from the Cub's receiver? That would be great if possible.

HI Bob. Question for you. I have this Carbon Cub on order and have no interest in the GPS. What is the easiest way to disconnect the GPS so I don't have to disable it on every flight? Thanks!
ah, yes. from the battery compartment, you will see the wiring where it plugs in to the receiver, carefully reach in there with a pick or small flatblade and pull the connector off. leave the module to keep the balance correct.
i heard stories of planes flying away, so i disconnected mine. i dont miss it at all. then i bought a dx 8 gen 1 radio and set all the fancy mixes, the receiver did not like that! it flew haywire and crashed a few times. i went back to basic setup and she flies great with tape, glue and patches! good luck flying!!
oh, you say it is on order.... you will love that plane! it is my all time favorite. i have a big turbo timber and a umx timber....love em all, but that cub is so cool lookin!
Worst plane I've ever owned. Landing gear soo weak it bends on landing every time admittedly my field is rough but even so it was rubbish flew like a bag of JELLY NOSE CONE VERY WEAK. junked it in the end. Took all the electrics out and BINED IT now the AEROSCOUT RADIAN NIGHT FLYER AND EFLITE SPITFIRE and the SLOWPOKE ALL BRILLIANT
brian forward hm.. i think you mis-treated the plane.. a 12 year old at our club flys one and he does awesome with it.. i have had mine for 2 years and yet no problems

I put the Akaso sport cam in the top, i was scare to put it on the wing

I really don’t understand all these people paying a premium for a plane with GPS and then disabling it? Why?
it is a good feature for a trainer. but it turns out to have a few flaws like anything else. i read about fly-aways, so disabled it.
