    The best tutorial on the NX radio I've seen so far. I can't believe how easy it was to follow and understand.
    I'm fairly new to RC aircraft and all the details about the flap system I couldn't work out before are
    crystal clear now. Thanks buddy, very much appreciated.

    Thanks for making things so clear about NX adjustments on flaps, even though I'm still stumped on how my flap freezes at pos-a take off and never moves in any other position, I'm sure I'll solve this as I study more about my plane online and in forums. Oh, I like the VH Tee shirt, I've been a Fan since I 1st heard them when I was in the 2nd Marine Aircraft wing back in 1977!!!

    Really appreciate your work. I'm older and just starting in the hobby. Can't always hear what people are saying, either because they talk so fast or because of their pronunciation. I'm not saying it's their fault for I went through this with my dad some years back. LOL
    Anyway, for me, I can hear you with no problems. And the way you explain everything makes it easy for a newcomer.
    Thank you

    Can you set your flaps to the dial, so they are adjustable in real time? Much like you would with Gain on a flight controller? Just trying to think of the new capabilities of the NX8 and up

    thank you for clearing alot of this up, great job. I have one question though. I have a Glider No throttle with Spoilers, elevator, and Rudder. spoilers are run with 2 servo's do I just use this Flap setup? using a 3 position switch D I'm using a NX 8 new version with latest up dates. Do I put these servos on AUX 1,2 ? I understand one of the servos is reversed. Can I rename the switch to spoilers instead of Flaps?
    Thank you

    Very clear and complete instruction. So thank you. Question: the Carbon Cub S+ with GPS, and LAS lease only Channel 8 for the Flaps. How is that accommodated using the Flap System if it assigns flaps to Channel 6?

    I set my flaps up in f modes. This allows me to trim the plane to fly at each flap setting. Works great 👍

    Just a note... 1 Ail 1 Flap doesn't necessarily mean 1 servo for each. The image shows 1 servo each, but it really means you are assigning 1 channel for each. E.g. If I have 2 servos for the Ailerons and 2 servos for the Flap... and a Y harness on each of the Ail and Flap then I would choose 1 Ail 1 Flap because they are being controlled by 1 Channel each.

    Could you help me with an NX8 flap setup question... I am selecting dual AIL and dual Flap servos for a Sail plane but I am not getting the Flaps setup in the Function List. I am getting instead Camber presets and Camber System???

    Great tip Dave. Tuning Flap to elevator mix can be tedious at times depending on the plane and weather conditions but it is very rewarding when you get it all dialed in. 👍👍. Enjoying you tutorials on the NX line of radios. ☺️

    I have a NX6 and would like to have my flaps set-up to be variable...not just the three setting on my switches. Is there any way to make it so I can set the flaps at a variable setting? Thanks.

    Terrific explanation of how the flap system works and I know you haven't got there yet but your better off to set it up flaps as flight modes so you can have separate trim on each position that way you don't need to keep adjusting your elevator settings to find the right setting.

    • @TheRCAirMarshall
      @TheRCAirMarshall  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would need to do some experimenting with that. I know you can do it, just not sure if using the flap system would be the best approach. I think it may be better to assign the knob/slider to Aux 1, and use the mixing menu to assign a mix from flap to elevator.

    • @rcaddictjcl
      @rcaddictjcl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TheRCAirMarshall You could do that but the nice thing about using flight modes is you can have three different trim settings. If you go to "trim setup" you can select FMode instead of common. You can trim the elevator on each setting while in flight without affecting any of the other flight modes.

    • @TheRCAirMarshall
      @TheRCAirMarshall  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hah, sorry my answer was for someone else. I absolutely agree with you regarding flight modes, but that’s a couple weeks out. 1 video a day, I wish I could just be available all the time. Real job and life get in the way. I just want to make videos, and have a whole filming and editing crew. That would be awesome. LoL

    My NX8 also has a setting called (Crow) with this you can also add an aileron mix with elevator, very nice.
