    EVERYONE NOTE WITH THE LEVEL 50 UPDATE POKEMON CAN NOW BE LEVEL 50. Also you can power up to +10 from your trainer level!

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      except to get level 50 pokemon you can only get them once you reach level 40 so level 38 trainers will still only be able to get level 40 pokemon until they reach level 40

    3:50 I don't know if it became known later, but (buckle up, here comes one-line math spelling) CP=((BaseAtk+AtkIV)*sqrt(BaseDef+DefIV)*sqrt(BasestamIV+StamIV)*(LevelScalar)^2)/10, where "LevelScalar" have exact value depending on this Pokémon's level.

    • @ann-kathrin2084

      It's not a dumb question. In fights the pokémon with high cp are (most of the times) stronger than the one with low cp. That's why it is worth keeping the ones with high cp and bad iv. The pokémon with high iv and low cp are only useful if you are willing to use power ups.

    What’s the difference between the attack stat and the attack damage next to each attack. Sometimes a Pokémon’s appraisal has a high attack stat but very low attack damage. And another of the same Pokémon has lower attack appraisal, but the attacks have insane damage. Same goes for the HP appraisal and the actual HP shown on the Pokémon’s profile.

    How does one figure out how to prioritize stats (like attack, defense, hp) from a series of imperfect options? Its easy to say "just go with the higher attack" but how far is that true? Is a 15/0/0 mewtwo really better than a 14/15/15 mewtwo? Thats an extreme example, but frequently in-game I'm forced to choose between something like a 14/10/10 or a 10/15/15 where it feels like I'm making the wrong choice either way.

    I've heard people say to not power your pokemon after a certain point (like lvl 30 or sumn) is this true and are you not supposed to max out the cp of your pokemon/does it benefit you to max out your pokemons?

    • @ann-kathrin2084
      @ann-kathrin2084 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course your pokémon are stronger when you bring them to max level. But that costs too much stardust. The cost-value ratio decreases with every power up. Power ups beyond pokémonlevel 30 only give half of the power compared to power ups below pokémonlevel 30. And it becomes even worse beyond pokémonlevel 40.

      @@noisy3156 You can use any iv calculator (website or app) for that. Here are some further hints:
      - Every power up increases the level by 0.5.
      - The higher the costs for the next power up the higher the level.
      - Pokémon in the wild have whole-number levels between 1 and 30 (or 6 and 35 with weatherboost) if your trainerlevel is high enough.
      - Some pokémon have fixed levels: Grunts 8 (13 with weatherboost), quests 15, eggs/raids/gbl 20, raids with weatherboost 25.

      It doesn't matter if you first evolve or first use power ups. For the second question: High cp might be good in the fight. But if you want to spend stardust I would recommend to choose the pokémon with better iv.

    • @ann-kathrin2084

      Beginners don't need to power the pokémon up to the maximum to have success in raids and gym battles. Pokémon level 30 is useful. Everything beyond it might sometimes be useful but it's expensive.

    Okay I have two questions if anyone can answer. You talked about I.V. so first question is would there be a way to possibly build on them stats say 15 Attack points is max if I'm understanding this right. So say your 'Mon had 12 Attack, can you do battles to gain the last 3 points or something of that nature? Also secondly again about I.V. from how you explained it, theoretically you can eventually catch a full stat 'Mon of every type? (I can only imagine the math on that % chance of achieving such a thing but...)

    • @ann-kathrin2084
      @ann-kathrin2084 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1) The only ways to change the iv are _trading_ (completely new iv with a minimum depending on the level on friendship) and _purifying_ (+2 on every individual value but you lose the shadow bonus).
      2) Yes, every pokémon can theoretically have perfect iv. The chance for that depends on where you catch it. It's for example 1/4096 in the wild, 1/1728 in the wild with weatherboost, 1/216 from raids/eggs/quests, 1/64 from lucky trades.

    If I'm a level 30 trainer now, and I catch a pokemon, I can only power it up to level 40. okay. But if I were to then get to level 40, then can power up the pokemon I caught when I was level 30 to level 50, or do I need to catch the pokemon at level 40 for me to be able to power them up at that point?

      If you power up a pokémon to its maximum pokémonlevel (depends on your trainerlevel) it will have the same cp no matter if you catched it with trainerlevel 20 or trainerlevel 40 (if the ivs are the same).

  • @markneilcatanyag3241

    Does trading a level 40 pokemon guarantee perfect IVs? Since in raids, there are specific IVs for perfect pokemon like 2500cp

      It depends on how much stardust you want to spend. The one with lower cp and higher iv would need power ups. But since blastoise is not the best raid and gym attacker (maybe as mega blastoise, but only with the elite move hydro cannon) I would not recommend to do power ups on that one.
