Great video, everyone loves to get a hundo but I see so many people binning off pokemon because they are a few IV points out and I know for a fact it doesn't make any tangible difference when they are fully levelled up. I always try to get the best IVs because and usually don't power any of them up until the raid boss leaves because there's nothing worse than spending a load of dust on one and then getting a better one on the very next raid you do! :)
Surely a more accurate way of doing it would have been to fight someone or another account using a zapdos against zapdos exact same moves and then which zapdos would win 🤔

You'd see a big difference in a 100iv vs 90s if you hit a certain breakpoints. All this Video shows is that IV don't matter when you can easily solo the content. It would be interesting to know the difference between the damage taken by the Shadow Zapdos and the 100% IV Zapdos since the moves on Kingler were the same. The Shadow Zapdos did seem more damaged but not by much.
If you play Great league and ultra league you want a 0 atk iv pokemon with high defense and stamina. If you play master league you want a 100% iv pokemon. If you want to use a pokemon, for raids it is recommended to use pokemon with high cp to be efficient with stardust and candy since they can perform way better than a low cp pokemon. For raids you want 100% iv pokemon maxed out cp. The reason you want 0 atk iv and high defense and stamina iv is because atk iv counts for 2 points towards the pokemon's combat power (cp). Cp is more important than iv's because cp is the sum total of all 3 stats: atk, def and stamina. For example, a 1500 cp machamp with 0 atk iv, 15 defense iv, 15 stamina iv is still stronger than a 1480 machamp with 15 atk iv, 15 defense iv and 15 stamina iv because like I said combat power (cp) takes precedence over iv. Think of iv as a stat manipulator. The cp it the most important part, BUT you will typically always want a pokemon to have 0 atk iv if you plan to use it in the great league and ultra league because like I said again the atk iv counts for two points towards the cp. The thing I didnt, mention was that defense and stamina iv only counts as one point towards the combat power total. So it's easier to manipulate the sum total of the cp with defense and stamina rather than atk because it's more flexible working with one point than it is to work with two points. Think of it as this: combat power (cp) is a cup. You're goal is to have the most amount of m&ms in that cup as possible to fill the cup perfectly. Would you rather work with sipersized m&ms or small m&ms? Right, you would rather work with the small m&ms because it will give you the most amount of m&ms in said cup and it is easier to fill it up volume wise. If you fill it up with supersized m&ms you would end up with less m&ms and the volume would be massively missing empty spaces. These small m&ms can better full these tiny empty spaces because they're..well.. Small. The only time you want a 100% iv pokemon is if you plan to use it for raids or for the master league since they have no cap limit for cp in those battles. It all comes down to how powerful your pokemon can get in terms of cp. That's why you don't see pokemon like azumarill playing in the master league. Its because its, max cp is like below 1800 or something. You would rather use something like lugia or palkia or even machamp or mamoswine
Great test, keep it up. My beef is that I cannot lucky trade a shadow pokemon and nobody seems to care or want that as an enhancement. It is time to care and request this of Niantic.
A better test would be to not use the charged move. This is actually very important! Your charge move was super effective so Zapados did a lot of damage, but the important part is the little things. So yes a 96% can take it down in the same time; BUT if the enemy was stronger, those smaller attacks would accumulate over time. It may not be a huge margin, but it is enough to make a difference depending on the length of the battle. Just saying. A better control would be to battle a friend and have them not attack.

IVs matter when it comes to breakpoints for Master League. For example, a Level 40 Togekiss 15/15/15 reaches charm breakpoint against 15/13/15 Togekiss to win the mirror. Togekiss wants at least 14 def for the mirror match** Then, a level 40 15/15/15 Togekiss still ties a level 41 best buddy 15/15/15 Togekiss in the mirror match. 15 defense is key here, as 14 defense means a loss unless you're best buddies as well. You could probably also get away with a bit less attack or stamina.

One thing you didn’t account for is the hp and defense of zapdos in a higher level raid, not sure if the shadow trait increases the hp and defense, therefore it might be weaker than the others even if it has higher attack as a shadow.
As a level 25 newb and I have 2 rydons... one of them is a 78% iv and the other is a 100% iv. Both of them are fully powered up. im not sure why but the 100% iv has about 150 less cp than the 78%.
The 100% has lower cp than the 78% one and they are fully powered up? I have read correctly?
@@balo1512 yes
@@balo1512 that is correct i have no clue why
@@FredOrSomething this is kind of weird...are you sure?

So helpful
Thank you!
Thank you for this video 🙏🏻🙏🏻
i am trying to find a youtube video that explains whether gym control will impact the iv of the raid boss captured or if the raid boss iv is completely random. Most just explain u get more balls. Im already at a stage where balls dont matter. i just need to know whether i should make the gym blue if I am mystik for example or if i can just go to a red or yellow gym and the iv of the mon will be the same (random)?
Thank you for doing this 😌
How can u get rid of Frustration fm on a shadow pokemon? I juste have so many good one, but can't max them out bc of this move
Use google
Does IV for shadow Pokémon not matter ?

Very informative. TY
Brandon:96,98 ivs are also ok
Brandon:always run away from them...
Yeah but he does 50 raids per day
He can easily get an 100%
