One of the last nails in the coffin for IR. 96% national Electrification been done with much of the remaining part in North east region. Focus should now move to the 6-7 identified corridors to make tripling/quadrapling of tracks nation wide. lot of work has already been completed betweeen north-east, west - central to east, north - central - south corridors. While the east to south corridor is still slow in progress. Interestingly north to west corridor has not even been kicked off.

Looking to the work being done so slowly, it may take another 3-4 months to complete electrification on this stretch

If TSS / SSS are ready & work on the Krishna bridge is expedited, then trail can happen in end Jun / Mid August 24
With this the entire Bangalore Pune route will be electrified

I wondered at real reason of delay. Only a TSS SSP under construction still at Vijaynagar is the reason. In our SR , they first supplied all electrical transformers required for TSS SSP 6 months before during corona lockdown itself and simultaneous wiring and pole fixing in phases for 200 kms so much so that entire electrification was ready in 3 months. Even in Rameshwaram Pamban bridge also they are doing same thing. If bridge is ready the electrification will be ready. thanks
