Bro I feel bad for Rain. His motivation is justifiable but he goes to extreme actions. Argus was a bit of a dick.
This is why I don’t think rain is a straight up villain his life was ruined by Argus while there are people who literally pray to him and other gods say he is unworthy to be his heir I think if Argus was taken down from his pedestal and Taven where to try and build a relationship with rain accepting him as his brother rain could become a hero which I’d love since he’s one of favourite characters

Unpopular Opinion: Argus may be the responsible for leading Edenia to the brink of ruin that followed Shao Kahn’s merging it with Outworld.
Well in Armageddons story i think this could be wrong while edenia lost to outworld the merge happened meanwhile all argus did was hide with his lover trying to create this plan that took a prophecy that involves his 2 kids for it to work. Meanwhile the surviving edenians suffered outworlds cruelty and while try to make a edienian resistance. I mean argus couldn't really do anything to stop the merge by then he lost all his godly powers but he should of at least helped the surviving edienians in some way especially in their resistance.
Not to mentioned Rains origins where he found out that argus banged a edenian noble or commoner in MK 11 creating rain. When argus found out he tells rains mom to either keep this a secret from his son or tells her that his son died resulting in her to spiral to depression and died while rain was dumped somewhere in edienia.
But this is just vague information i saw in mk history videos and characters ending

It's funny on how Rain puffs himself up on being the son of argus but at the same time despises him. Rain could have a small storyline that solves the core of his issue: his relationship with his dad

This timeline went and ended before Taven even got a chance to wake up. I know we already saw Armaggedon's end but this timeline is so completely out of wack compared to the original that for all we know, Taven might have actually won this time.
