When you're always at their feet doing things for them, they are "decent" with you. As soon as you start to slow down with some things or are unable to serve them, they literally switch like that. A complete different person. Their true hidden feelings about you are revealed, then you realise actually this person has never loved me or ever will. They only love that you can serve them for their needs. It's quite ironic actually... They expect you to give them 100% and will cause havoc if you are not, but when you ACTUALLY need them... They are never to be found and do NOT support you.

@TRUTHWINSALLWAYS I appreciate you but I can tell you I'm not misdiagnosed. I'm self aware and tired of the shame. I'm vulnerable narcissist, more specifically. I do feel the need to behave like every typical narcissist does. I just grew up and spent a lot of time alone without the ability to get "narcissistic supply" off of people, just feeling sorry for myself and boasting my own ego to myself for doing the bare minimum and feeling very angry when people say it's a bare minimum and isolating myself further cause "they are all bullies and will never understand ME and my princess in distress struggles". Dealing with constant shame and feeling threatened by everything and everyone, the need to be in the center of attention or not be there at all, the intense need for validation, the needs for passive aggressive gestures, the love bombing theatrics I pulled for the people I started to meet, how ready to take it all away and wanting to do silent treatments for the tiniest innocent things, just- I am not misdiagnosed, dude, there is so much more but I'm not about to spill my whole therapy session and make this even longer- I'm practicing empathy, which is the easiest to feel towards other narcissists (especially when I don't know them and won't need to deal with them??? 🤡😂😭✋wheeze). Not every narcissist is an abuser.

    • @longsnoutpug7248
      @longsnoutpug7248 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

@TRUTHWINSALLWAYS Do you want to see the rest of my life and all there is that I did not say? Cause that's really impossible. I practice empathy and healing by keeping the friends I already made by 1. Biting my tongue when I feel a reaction coming up. 2. Distancing myself until it passes and reconnecting with them while using cognitive empathy 3. Feeling proud for not letting my insecurities get the best of me and feeling clarity come back to me to just be there for my friends and validate their existence like I would with me,I want THEM to also feel proud of themselves even for the little things. Hell,I even told my friends about my narc struggles with empathy and reactive feelings and they're very supportive and proud of me,too. It was very hard at first but now just biting my tongue and being vulnerable with them has become a habit that I practice with other people (like I just did with you! I mean,it takes a lot to get over a shame and admit to all that even if it's to a stranger. I constantly have this little voice in my head that parents me like a child whenever I feel threatened and it's a lot of work to keep that going, but I'm determined to keep going. I take one moment to just "don't",and just erase my ego for a moment to imagine I am the other person and how I am perceiving what I do and say,and it calms me down from making it about myself. And that is satisfying enough. When I say I feel a NEED to act the way narcissists do,I say I feel a need. But I don't act out on it,I feel proud about not acting out,I don't expect people to support and understand me cause they are not me,they are not in my brain, but it's enough for me to deal with my insecurities. When I say it's easy to feel empathy for other narcissists "especially when I don't have to deal with them",I mean I understand WHY they act out the way that they do to the very core, and it helps me feel connected with the outside world people more, it's like a reassurance for me that my struggles are real and it helps me stick around longer with them through building endurance. I FEEL that empathy towards other narcs even when I don't deal with them cause I know exactly what is going through their heads when they attack me when I encounter them, so it helps not to take it personally which, again, that's also empathy at work that's required. It makes me want to come back to even THEM instead of shutting down, and that drive to want to come back is something I cherish and will fight for as much as I can take on. Even if it's a little bit, with building endurance it goes a long way in the long run when I know how to go to that quiet place within myself. It almost feels like keeping a dog on a leash in check and slowly train it. I use that little phrase to myself a lot when I feel the need to react strongly. "Keep your dogs in check". My biggest abuse so far has been distancing myself without saying a word for a couple days. But nowadays I even tell my friends when I feel something come up like "hey,I need a little time for a weird moment I feel" to not make them worried like THEY did something wrong. All of this is a LOT of work, which is healing cause I do feel my insecurities feel a lot more heard and a lot more stronger than BEFORE I was diagnosed.

@TRUTHWINSALLWAYS (HOLY hell-- you actually READ all that?! That took some effort thank you 🥺) (Also dude becoming a tree and living in a forest without the need to cry out for other trees hit hard,I love that metaphor omg? 😳) ((I'm stealing that to use for myself in practicing that, mwohoho 😈)) But yeah man! Growing up is basically sums it up. It's easier said than done though when the roots of such behavior are so deep (and many narcs don't even WANT to know or hear something that validates that something is indeed wrong with them, which is the ultimate NIGHTMARE to take in cause of the constant shame and insecurities, that's a "yeah, you're a broken toy, you're off the shelf and nobody will buy you, into the bin you go to die alone and unheard whoops" which is really overdramatic but THEY FULLY BELIEVE it, "might as well hurt others cause of that doomed fate and helplessness over imaginary things, like "if I'm going down I'M TAKING YOU WITH ME 👹""). When I say it's empathy to know and understand why a narc is attacking,to ME it's empathy cause I feel what they're feeling in the moment they're acting out (I don't excuse them!! It's a correct feeling to feel disdain for the big baby abusive behavior). It takes a lot to have a narc to be openly receiving and practicing the message of "grow up" which they will never ever take to heart if it's given with (justified) hostility. You fuck around, you find out,now you're ashamed. Which is why I go through a bit of sugarcoating through empathy to just, put the message out there for them to be exposed to at all which is really hard when narcs are demonized (which, again, valid, cause they're hurting people and being shamed and ridiculed, called out is the fruits of their labor. They don't even KNOW or believe themselves to be able to plant a different kind of plant, like,"what is this alien shit? For ME,for MY inexperienced ass? I only feel and plant pain, I'm just a helpless baby,I will never be able to grow THAT, that's for adults") Yes, waking up and growing up is essential to let and be happy,if it would have been that easy they would be doing that in the first place but it takes a lot more for us. But I just want my fellow narcs to know that it's indeed possible, and to experience it like I do. Cause there are narcs out there that have just enough self awareness (I'm a proof!) to get there, or at least TRY to, and take the message to heart if it's pushed to them correctly which is something I'm attempting to do to bridge them across their shame to a better behavior as much as I can. Sure, it may be considered baby-ing at times but I mean, how else are you gonna help a big baby to grow up into an adult when they're not adulting? 😆 It's absolutely nobody's obligation, like you said, parents are gone. But like, they're still people that are gonna die one day and the chances are slim for them to change, but from my wake up experience, I feel determined to at least throw in some arrows in the sand for the special few. It may not be a lot, but to them it may change a whole entire world to just feel comfortable in their own selves enough to not feel so hostile anymore.

My wife, who I recently realized exhibits narcissistic behavior, has isolated herself and our 4-year-old son from me for almost three weeks now. She hasn't answered my calls or messages, and the pain I'm experiencing is immense. Just a few days ago, after piecing things together, I recognized her narcissism. She once asked me, "Is there a way to be happy? Because I never had happiness." At the time, I struggled with her actions, such as never listening to me and often being unkind. Now, it makes sense; she never apologized because of her narcissistic tendencies. She lives about five hours away from me because of work; we used to be together for 3 years. I pray for strength and patience to get through this tough time.

The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. There’s much to be said of CONTENTMENT over “happiness”.
The former is achievable, & sustainable. In my opinion, happiness is fleeting, just because life is filled with highs & lows. If contentment comes from the correct source, we can trust in the long term benefits which flow from that source!
I’m an old woman, & I only now can look back over my life, & see the times when I counted on the decisions, choices, & even the EMOTIONS of others, to bring MY happiness! I can also say this “happiness” never lasted very long!
This is a life lesson I’m only now learning. Some learn sooner, but many NEVER do learn it!

I don't hear anything about Dependency Disorder, but I think many have it. The buzz word in the last few yrs has been narcissist, everyone's talking about it. What about dependency disorder. Does the narcissist tend to attract those with a dependency disorder?

    • @TekieD-Rogers
      @TekieD-Rogers 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

@ Many with co-dependency issues find caring for others important, sometimes too important.
And because Narcissists crave attention, initially, they see your care for them as beneficial to them. Whatever you can offer to keep the spotlight on THEM, is seen as a ASSET, & a sign that you’re buying what they’re selling! Picture two magnets: one is a Co-dependent person; the other, a Narcissist... Each seems to compliment the other. Problem is, these relationship dynamics can’t be SUSTAINED for extended periods of time.
The best way to avoid an unhealthy relationship, is to MOVE SLOWLY! TAKE THE TIME needed to see WHO a potential partner IS, before allowing them to get too close! The best way I’ve found to identify a narcissist, is to FOCUS ON MYSELF. If my love interest seems bothered, I start talking about future plans, my OWN! ( whether true or exaggerated) That’s usually enough!
Taking care of your own NEEDS, before volunteering to help someone else get what they WANT, should send a narcissist packing! Which is FINE! Better to say “Bye” then, than to wait 6 years, & realize you’re miserable, & married with babies!
Best of luck to you!…ps: piano buff? Me too

Absolutely true. Narcissist has his own grudges and complaints always against their partner and they may resort to a brinkmanship and pick up an argument which can cause a flare up. Yet, they don't ever feel it necessary to analyse their behaviour. So much is the self love! Totally blind to basic assumptions of a partnership.

I had 23 years with a dismissive avoidant covert narcissist. Accepted it was a codependant trauma bond situation that no healthy man would have stayed in.
She'd been married 3 times already
and after the lovebombing start the true face showed up with every red flag I tried to believe was probably my fault and I could ' fix'
her/us. I ended up in therapy eventually and had stress related physical health problems, heart and gastric issues. I began calling her out on her behaviours but that made everything far worse until despite her still claiming she loved me ( more the fact I was her handyman and general dogs body) her overal attitude towards me was virtually like contempt. Every time we'd break up She'd hoover me back or I'd reach out first.
I often thought she was provoking a row so she'd get me off the scene for weeks or months so she could play the field. Finally after Christmas I'd had enough and really told her everything I thought of her. I hate the upsets and apologised next day but got no reply. Now she's saying she doesn't even want to talk to me let alone be friends. I'm sure she's got my replacement in tow and wanted to provoke an angry reaction to get her family on board to accept she's now on man number 5 to save face by telling everyone I'm abusive.
What a crap ending to 23 years of giving to someone and to their family. The only good thing is I'm finally free to rebuild my life, in my 70s now, but thank God she's finally let me go because otherwise I'd probably not make another few years. I'm trying not let her hate take me down. Thanks for your videos. ❤

When dealing with narcissism, you should know that it's not personal. "It isn't personal" is one of those cliches used to cushion all kinds of bad actions taken by people who need an out for being immoral, but in this case it actually gets near the truth.
Narcissists don't know how to love or be a friend; they can't afford to spare the energy to learn, because they're always in a state of high emergency, cataloging potential threats and redoubling their defenses. When they claim to love you, it means nothing. They may even think they mean it, but they don't understand the concept - they can't feel it. They never attach to you or anyone else. Other people are paper cut-outs to the narcissist, like those cardboard figures of celebrities you pose next to for a selfie. Narcissist value their own children only as mirrors of themselves. When they destabilize you or attack you, it means nothing.
They are stuck in an endless conversation with themselves, in which you are an inanimate object, to be assigned their own faults and used as a surrogate punching bag for their hatred of themselves. When they toss you out, it's no more meaningful than a junkie tossing away a needle; when they try to reel you back in, it only means that they tired of the new drug and need a hit of the old.
None of this is personal. They're too terrified to have personal relationships, opting instead for extraction of admiration from a subservient partner whose range of action they strictly constrain. This is not personal. None of it. The narcissist does not know who you are - it doesn't know how to know other people. Like the vampire or the chainsaw-wielding creature in the horror film, it's from another world, bereft of the concept of human connection. Moreover, People wonder why they end up hurt, seriously hurt, and even killed for their own actions.Cheating is a choice and there's simply a lot of ignorance in the process..Thank you so much for helping me out cyberalbert4@gmail. com.Your advice and services helped me so much. I play pickleball, rescue senior dogs, and I’m spiritually in a good place. I have no desire to go back to dating or growing old with someone. He thought that was the saddest thing he ever heard. How do you make a narcissist suffer forever ? you need to destroy narcissist ego and pride.you need to bring them back to reality.and there is a way you can do that without harming them directly. that is by working on yourself. And go back to being the person you were before you involved with the narcissist. The person that they where attached to. And then become a better version of yourself. If you do that and let them see it. but you reject their hoover attempts. it will destroy their ego. because they can't deal with rejection. They can't deal with being ignored. especially if it's from something that they believe they should have. Narcissist find pleasure in breaking you down. They find pleasure in your pain. It gives them satisfaction. So the last thing they want to see is you building yourself up. You are happy. Because what really destroys their ego Is when they see that you're not affected by their attempts to destroy you. You're still able to live the life that you want to live. You're still able to do what you need to do. You're still able to laugh and smile. Which means that their efforts have gone to waste. Their plan has failed. They didn't get the result they where intended for. Because now you are even more successful. You look better than you ever did before. You're in better condition than when they first met you.
Which destroy them. Because they remember how good things were Back then. That's why they lovebombed you. And they would love to have that again. But if they can't, it will crush them. So true!! My ex is a narcissist and I’m a empath so you know this was not a good ending. But he cheated and left and I can see he’s not happy now like he thought he was in the beginning, and he still comes around our home we shared/ use the dogs as a excuse (yet doesn’t put the true care into) and last night he got into it, he tried to tell me I’m not allowed to let any males here smh I was having a male friend come to help with my senior sick dog and even that wasn’t allowed in his mind. But I’m not listening to that mess. And I know it’s because he’s been seeing me doing so much better and happier and that I finally was able to talk to another guy and not feel like I was cheating and I felt so free!! And I am able to start truly moving on. And I feel it makes him so mad. He did the damage yet he tries to control me and is only happy when I’m here alone and away from the world and moving on. Nope I refuse to let anyone who can’t treat me right and with respect treat me in such a negative way. He slammed the back door and left the back gate wide open not worrying if my husky would of got out and hit by a car smh even didn’t show up to help with my other dog just bc he’s mad not to suck up his feelings and do what he needs for our sick senior dog. So I don’t want to hear that he cares and all the lies he spews. Hope him and his nut ball controlling gf last lol but yea she’s controlling and will go thru his phone every night ect and alot has to do with they started dating with him cheating and lying to me and she knows that and also he is til this day spying on me and hacking into my stuff so idk why his gf comes at me?? I don’t want a cheater back. This weekend I finally got to a point where I was able to talk to another guy and not feel bad or I was cheating and I felt so free and I think he read my messages and seen it and got mad. But I did still cry to my friend after he flipped last night and I think it’s bc Im just angry, and all my focus is on my sick dog and both dogs well being first. They are my kids. And he uses them for a in I think, and I am still waiting for a call back from mental health which I called in July!! So luckily my friends have helped me thru this

Remember understanding is not the same as excusing the person’s actions. We should all try to understand what the base motivations and triggers likely are of a narcissist, but we need to be careful not to weaponize it against them as they would do to us.

They're all addicted to the beginning stages of a relationship when you cant wait to see or hear from a person... once the newness wears off so does the mask.. we become settled in and they become bored... a noticeable switch happens because they're in the streets trying to get other people hooked into the beginning stages of a relationship.. the only things they offer are PTSD, PH off balance, headaches, upset stomach, high blood pressure, hair loss, weight gain/loss, low self esteem, and with the way they will betray you (jail time)..
You have to leave and never look back.. they have nothing you really want.

I dunno if my mum is a narcissist, but she seeks me out to make me feel constantly bad about myself. And then when i try to keep my distance, she makes me feel guilty for not calling her (i literally call her everyday) . Now i have children, she is constantly in need to know whats going on, and the worst part is that my father has passed away this month, he was with her all the time, now the responsibility is all on me and my brother doesn't want to entertain her. I love her but i don't know how to be her daughter, makes me so sad because i wish it was a healthy relationship, but i feel constantly under so much scrutiny and pressure to be on my best behaviour. I feel like i have to walk on egg shells because she is so sensitive, and if we ever try to talk about this, she starts naming everything that she does for me, and how dare i ever make her feel bad. :(

The ones I've known were badly abused at some point in early life. I think they need our compassion, albeit from a controlled (by you) distance. Only Jesus knew true love, he healed all who came to him. Did he stop and ask first, is this one a narcissist? Yes? Okay then, pass!

My husband had an affair with a co-worker for nearly two years the last nine months of which I was pregnant with our second child. I found out about the other woman the week before my due date, I felt so terrible and moved back to my mother's home for 2 month with the kids after birth, he kept on apologizing to every member of my family and they all begged me to forgive him, I moved back to our home and I still had that feeling something was off, I felt deep down that I have been manipulated, gaslighted, and threatened on a daily basis. Some of the threats were he was going to kill himself if I didn't do what was asked, he would punch pillow or sofa, stand up against me and yell at my face, stand behind the car and not let me leave, sometimes we would be driving and he would threaten to swerve and hit any truck, hold my shake me, push me aside to a wall, and much more, my in-law were also very verbally abusive towards me. Wasn't allowed to visit my family or friends. If I did or wanted to I had to be ready for an argument, everyday I was reminded that I am not nothing and that was not worth fighting for and that don't meet the standard of being married to their son. Recently, I found out he was cheating on me an had a girl friend after seeing the text and pictures, I became numb. I have been a good wife. I listened to every insult and fight. I never gave up what I knew, thanks to this hacker who help me extract enough information from his device. Someone on here share a link to the hacker who helped me clone his phone without physically touching it. All I did was send his phone number to him through a remote link sent to my email,I was able to access all of his text, email, Facebook and Instagram chat real-time call listening and his long deleted messages as if the phone was physically with me. Perhaps, you are in a similar situation and you need help you can get in touch with him on What's app:+1(352)255-6426 @Lawrence Hernandez

My narc ex signed for an engagement ring then found his next wife behind my back. I moved alone to go back to study and work on myself. 3 years later I found someone to love and respect me. The narc thought he could pick up his bookmark after posting very profound social media photos of every milestone with his wife leading up to him visiting back to our home state and trying to hook up with me behind her back after making HER feel special to fly home with him to meet his family. See how that cycles? Never trust a narc. Love yourself so much more.

That exact thing just happened to me, he tried hard for more than a year, and praise God I already know the game he was playing so I just watched him try. He said he regreted everything he done in the past, that he grew mature and bla bla bla. When I asked him 'what is it that you regret from every wrong doing you did to me in the past? What is it that you see now that you didn't see in the past? What does it mean to grow more mature? the asnwer was 'oh come on, I already left the past behind...why can't you just move on and be happy with mefrom now on? Lol 'Nah, thank you. Keep your offer to yourself'

I myself have a couple of narcissistic traits, but not all of them. I'm unhappy, from living with a narcissist, but prefer my own company. My narc doesn't want to leave me alone. Blames me for being irritated at their irritating behaviour. It's like groundhog day. I know all of her stories, all of her "issues," right down to the last detail. I know what she's gonna say before she says it. She's on repeat, reliving her "worst moments" daily. It's very frustrating and I need to leave for a while. I've been building a camper van to go away for a while. I need to limit my time with this woman. I can't ditch her, because she's family, but I can limit my time with her.

I use to talk with a guy . I started like him and decided to tell him that i think he is cute and that i really want to know him . I meant to say cute in a way that i like and hope that he feel the same about me but he said that he is not cute at all . And he is narcissistic and arrogant and i said its not very nice thing to say about yourself and he said he is actually proud of it . I was totally caught offgaurd and afcourse i blocked him .
I always thought there is some gap about him and something i m not getting. He would only message me when he needed me now that i think about it and i m a sensitive person so i started to care about him . I always felt exhausted after i talked to him too and that was all through text . Imagine having such person in real life . I m glad . I said out my feelings and actually came to my senses . I have further long story before this and how i got there but its a long story

Yes ,my ex narc friend, enjoyed speaking about all the stuff she would buy,her vakays, cars, education, degrees, she would send photos of her house, clothes, tell me how much she spent on stuff, looking back i realized she was tryna a rise out of me,make me jealous of her,,look at what i can have or buy,,and you can't.I never asked her or any friends their salary, she was dying to tell me,I said good for u.,that's some goood money..nothing I said to her was ever impressive to her, stopped speaking about any thing good that happened to me,It would be an automatic put down,,never noticed, when I stopped..she would speak 100% about herself, her friends,co workers, family, how well they were all doing,if i was doing fantastic she would not know😮,,then it's I have to go now,,.I would say good night, good bye, speak to u later,, so self absorbed, then one day she said I was jealous of her,,its like she had been dying to say it to me for a very long time,,,,like it was rehersed,,,,that was it for me...She never realized that me with half the stuff she had,,she was the one jealous and envious of me..I went cold turkey,,36 years "fiend" ship came to an abrupt end.i ask myself where do you start again with someone, after that statement?.no energy for that anymore.
