Picked this one up and Leo! Getting these toys for Christmas as a kid was pure magic! We were pretty poor, and a freind of my dads at work gave him his kids, as they did t want them! It was the best feeling ever to have something that was so sought after, especially when you’re used to never getting stuff like this as a kid!
This looks fantastic. Looking forward to getting mine soon. I know some people don't like the $45 price point but given the packaging, accessories, and that it's a small company with a direct distribution model, I think it's worth it.
It would be awesome if they were able to release figures that were developed but never released, like the Forgotten Sewer Michelangelo and Splinter. And definitely some of the rare figures, like Shogun Triceraton and Shoate.
Paint, flashing and joints look better than that other earlier review that I saw. Wasn't 100% sure but the difference in the paint application for the eyes makes it apparent. Hope to grab one of these!
I just received mine in the mail yesterday. And he does look AWESOME!! And just like you! I haven’t been able to put him down either! LOL!! I feel like a little kid all over again, with these figures... I can’t wait to get the rest of the turtles. 🐢🐢🐢🐢

It was between Transformers and TMNT as to which was the majority of my toys growing up. Disappointed I couldnt get the first wave, hopefully I can grab the subsequent releases and get another shot at Raph. These turned out really great

Outside of MOTU Origins, this line is on my most anticipated figures list. Thundercats is up there too. I can't wait to get these in hand! I just got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Rotocast Action Figure Set from Game Stop because I lost all of my vintage figures from my childhood. Great review ToyBro! Really been looking forward to these! Seems like they could be an easier to get alternative to NECA. I feel the only thing missing is maybe a pair of fists. Were pins showing really that big of an issue with collectors? All the years I've been collecting, not having visible pins has been the least of my issues, lol.
Man I wish companies Would do stuff like this for Ben 10 toys. For me Ben 10 toys were like what ninja turtles toys were for y’all. I lots of fun playing with those as a kid
man. I'm excited for mine. I don't think I'll collect the whole line and the size of the baxter makes me nervous. but happy this came out as good as it did. I like the pinless articulation, though it seems like a double jointed knee would have been so easy.
I just received my Ultimates Raphael by Super 7. Really like it but one thing i'm trippy out about is the extra head sculpt. Both look darn near identical except a very slight variation in the mask eye holes. Strange to get an extra and not have it really add anything.... did you experience the same? At first i thought it might be a packaging mistake and then had to go back and zoom in on the advertisement photos.
You know a part of me wishes that McFarlane Toys could get the license for TMNT, make the original comic turtles so it's easier to get again, make some of the crazy & different toys made back in the day, Archie Comics characters and 2003 series for example. Just try to make figures from TMNT stuff that both NECA and Super7 haven't tried doing yet if ever. They could make uniquely designed figures of the turtles and other characters like Casey Jones, Shredder, Bebop & Rocksteady, Metalhead, Slash, Tokka & Rahzar, Usagi Yojimbo and others. With the DC license McFarlane Toys has, they could make Lantern Corps Turtles or Playmates inspired crazy variation turtles and other characters with the other licenses they have access to. It would also be cool and funny to see a Spawn Turtle! I'm just thinking on how the DC Multiverse figures have been getting better and better with articulation, engineering and quality. Especially the White Knight wave and the new announced waves as of this post. The huge improvements they've been making and coupled with the pricing at $20 to $25 just makes me wish they could get a crack at it!
Donatello for me personally was my favourite Turtle & guess what, he's the only Turtle that hasn't been made yet 😔. I was born in 1980 so I watched the very 1st TMNT cartoon & Donatello was a badass! He's the smartest & I often saw him pull off great moves on Bebob, Rocksteady & sometimes bested Shredder. I never seen him lose a practice fight against the other Turtles either. Seen him defeat Raphael in a real fight & defeat Leonardo in a practice match. As the modern cartoons were released, Donatello's character got bad! Tall and skinny and not as powerful as he was in the early cartoon, so I turned my attention on Raphael, he slowly materialised into badass. RIP Donatello! Thank you. Is this the retail figure or a "sample" I ask as im not seeing anthing but pre-orders online and I mostly avoid pre-orders especially from companies that often miss their ETA by 6-12 months.
My pre-order of these never arrived and I was told they had been delivered back to the warehouse and I'd have to pay a second time for shipping if I wanted them or I could have a refund but since requesting a refund Super7 have ignored me. It's put me off ever ordering from them again.

Nice review! I was definitely excited for this one. One fear I had was paint, and I think that is the weak point here. Shading on the nose really bothers me, and overall the paint seems just okay. Still excited though, mainly for the turtles.
As much as I'd really like to collect this line, I just can't rationalise paying £50 plus p and p, for a single figure. It's £65 in some shops in the uk, which is an obscene amount of money. No matter how nice the box is, or how many accessories it comes with

Why are his weapon handles Black instead of the cartoon, movie and toy version BROWN that they've always been ....especially since its supposed to be based on the vintage line?

Looks good, but overpriced like everything Super7 puts out. You can get two Neca Figures for the price of one of these. Yeah you get a few extra accessories, but its still not worth it IMO. I may pick up one or two, but as a consumer I hate sending the message that it's okay for toy companies to charge $50 for this stuff.
It does suck but I imagine smaller production runs plus increasing costs across the board brought these up to $45. And honestly, Neca stuff has been near impossible for me to get for retail so those higher costs seem almost normal at this point.
Put some Kiki Tight Joints on the legs. It'll make em' brand new. I would rather have loose joints than joints that are too tight and break. Especially with these being made to order. You can fix looseness with no problems.
I can understand that sentiment. It's an action figure remake of an action figure though. TMNT was my main toy line as a kid and they really did nail the feel of the original toyline while updating the look and articulation.

Start the video at the 6:20 mark. Pay attention to the feet. There are no peg holes with Raph. Not a deal breaker.
