I feel like a lot of people are comparing these Super7 too NECA when they are totally different takes. These are upscaled, more detailed versions of the original Playmates. NECA is the original 1987 cartoon. I love/have them both.

Hey Dan, just stopping by to say that this video is a perfect example of why I love your reviews! You look at the toys as TOYS as well as collectibles. I haven't seen any other reviews mention that there isn't a hand that holds the mug well! As long as you keep putting out good stuff, I'll keep watching!
The pure jade cane that Splinter had in the Nickelodeon series was definitely cool, but nothing will ever top that hidden sword cane. That's something no aging ninja master should ever be without. Then again, a true master can make a deadly weapon out of anything.
I opened up my set last night and I’m a little bummed that splinter comes with three ( or six) arrows but no quiver to hold them in. My poor arrows are going to warp for sure.
These all look great. One thing I do think by seeing how raphs sai and other weapons get all bendi and distorted over time, is that the weapons should be all made of actual steel (no sharpness though obviously) since these are expensive and directed for adults.
I agree. I received Raph yesterday and my chrome sai was bent (easy fix) but, it had the clumpy chrome paint. Would be nice for the price/waiting since childhood too get these if we could get full-on metal weapons for the turtles 🐢.
Really looking forward to getting my wave 1. Hopefully be within the next week. Saw somebody on Twitter manage to fit the vintage Splinter belt around the Ultimates waist with the cloth robe on. Would certainly look cool.
Omg thank you for measuring height. So many reviewers dont measure figures. Knowing height helps determine how they will scale with other figures from different lines.
Awesome review. There's so much Turtles goodness going. I remember picking up the original Splinter figure in KB on the way home from the first movie (30 freaking years ago!!!).
My pre-order of these never arrived and I was told they had been delivered back to the warehouse and I'd have to pay a second time for shipping if I wanted them or I could have a refund but since requesting a refund Super7 have ignored me. It's put me off ever ordering from them again.
Super7 really needs to add a tolerance-specific section to their figure QA process. For the insane amount of money they're charging for these toys, there's no reason why any of the joints should be that loose. And it's one EVERY figure, in one place or another.
And the other TMNT line handled by NECA is doing what on QC issues? And the outrage it cause because people unable to get It? Wake up guys, you're being delusional if you think Super7 is only ones having issues on making modern collector toys.🤔
He is a cool looking figure, great you get both plastic and material kimono, his ankle joints are a bit loose and but stands well with his cane, and pity the weapons and mug don't fit well in his hands, love the classic toy style though and he looks amazing, awesome review ☺️💚
Like the turtles i would have preferred a alternate head sculpt to have the option of a modern look but looks like an awesome toy line can't wait to get mine.
The hip hinges on 80% of my ultimates figures are too loose. If they can’t figure out how to fix that, then they should use a different method. I’m forced to lean my heavier figures like Rocksteady to keep him standing.
So, Super7 blasted a Chinese reviewer for having "bootlegs" that were not finished figures and Dan's figures have all the same problems that reviewer's had. I guess that just makes Brian Flynn a liar.
Flynn isn’t a liar, those figures “the reviewer” reviewed were in the same vein as buying a “KO” Mafex/Figuarts that didn’t pass qc. I received Raph yesterday and not one thing was wrong. I was worried that he was lying but, they are great figs. They are identical too the original Playmates and that’s the idea here.

The quality of these are night and day compared to neca.. the plastic and parts neca use is garbage... these are better.
They did a good job recapturing that classic look.

The mug is supposed to be held with both open palm hands I believe
I wish Raphael came with a Baby Turtle of himself. I hope the others will. Please do the 1990 Movie Star Splinter from NECA.
I would love to collect all these if they weren't so pricey. Remember when they were 3.99?
TMNT “origins” !!! Know what I’m sayin??
@@mikeledger2614 YES
I'm glad we got Splinter much earlier

Push the whole handle of the mug in between the finger tips and the palm of his right tight gripping hand and it will stay pretty snug.
Dose it scale well with the - BST AXN tmnt figure
I don't have loose joints on my Splinter, thankfully.
Just purchased one from eBay. Excited to receive it in the mail soon. As always, thanks for making this great review on SUPER7 Splinter.
My pre-order of these never arrived and I was told they had been delivered back to the warehouse and I'd have to pay a second time for shipping if I wanted them or I could have a refund but since requesting a refund Super7 have ignored me. It's put me off ever ordering from them again.
I need that mug! The figure is cute, too, but sad Splinter can't hold onto things.
This line will benefit most with toe hinges esp splinter here.
Wish he also had a bag to hold his arrows in.

That bow and arrow 🏹 reminds me of the Robin Hood weapons with Kevin Costner as Robin Hood of course
I like the updated versions of all classic toys. Pretty much detailed.

Yeah sure Dan, sure
I knew it would have QC issues, because it is Super 7 after all
Master Farr This is why I clicked the vid...dmannnnnnnit I knew it...Baxter glow is too top heavy to hold his wimp legs , come on super

Any word of the SDCC Playmates 6 Pack? I think shipments for it got delayed... Estimated date is saying September now...
Guess it depends who u ordered from? Seen some people have gotten it already.
@@dong32117 I only seen a few people get it and only one TH-cam video. I ordered from Entertainment Earth.
Like the turtles i would have preferred a alternate head sculpt to have the option of a modern look but looks like an awesome toy line can't wait to get mine.
Got Raph in yesterday and the alt. head definitely puts him into modern day. He is a big tough looking figure.
Do these scale with the DC Batman VS TMNT figures at all?
Will this wave hit comic stores or can you only get it online.
Online. I called back when Toxie released and the comic shops only do the reAction figures bc Super7 requires ordering a whole bunch.
When is the shredder one coming out
I feel like Super 7 should open up toy stores in malls
Great review. I will be curious to see who does it better, NECA or Super 7, when it comes to Splinter.
It look like the one that I have when I was a kid and I still got it. 😀👍
(10:03) TONFA BLADE
I love this figure but I wish it would have come with an extra head that had eye pupils it's just my preference.
This one look more slender, the vintage is more stocky with no neck.
They both nice 👌
Nice. Just have Venus myself for now.
Oh come on, he doesn't come with any stones to skip?! Some "Ultimate" figure!! >:v
I said how were you able to afford the tmnt neca toys?
The hip hinges on 80% of my ultimates figures are too loose. If they can’t figure out how to fix that, then they should use a different method. I’m forced to lean my heavier figures like Rocksteady to keep him standing.
I hate torso joints, but at least they have it covered up by the robe.
Should have ratcheting ankle joints for figures like this.
The crazier thing. I saw this at fye and was tempted until saw the price they asked for. More than what had on me or I probably would have snagged.
Should I pre-order him 🤔 hmmm...I’d rather get that robot turtle. Never was a rat fan
Think he’s released but I did pre a metal head. I needed another turtle buddy. I have more villains.
cool
Bummer about those accessories, but otherwise awesome Splinter!
So, Super7 blasted a Chinese reviewer for having "bootlegs" that were not finished figures and Dan's figures have all the same problems that reviewer's had. I guess that just makes Brian Flynn a liar.
That Chinese guy is a whiner more than a reviewer.

Will these be at Walmart?
What's about the ugly inaccurate elastic belt?
That's a kimono 👘
Nice figures but way too expensive
I don’t love ankle joints because if they are flimsy now. Imagine in 15 years.
You can tighten the joints, you know.
All too many of these figures from super7 have loose joints.
Crapy super7, the messed-up the whole '80-'90 cartoon figures... Masters of the Universe, now this...
Hi
I have this one
Sub to me at dennis is going extreme
Hi
Bummer that is Super7
I HATE SPLINTER
Why?
Justin Mohan it's a reference to Phelous
