I remember Super7 doing a video on Splinter and saying how awesome the articulation is going to be.....well they lied. I was hoping the articulation was going to be great like they said and it should be for the price point. They look good though
Wish it also came with a cartoon accurate head. I love the way his face was drawn in the cartoon. (never mind, I just clicked on another of your videos and see they did release a cartoon accurate Splinter :D )
I wish I wasn't collecting so many lines at once, including NECA Turtles. Adding these is just beyond my pay grade, lol. But nice video, I appreciated the closer look at the figure. This one in particular looks so awesome. The original is underrated- it's toyetic AF. I remember looking at it and holding it in my hands for the first time pretty vividly 30+ yrs later.

Nice review! This is a quality update of the old figure. The arms do seem a little long to me, and the peg on that robe was a bad choice. I honestly never cared for this design, but if you like the old figure, this is an easy purchase.
I've always hated the vintage splinter....he always looked more like a beaver than a rat to me. The only thing I liked was his cane because it turned into a sword......this figure however turns it all around for me.
Actually I hear "Naked Rat Man" was Eastman's orginal name for Splinter when creating the comics, but they wouldn't publish the book unkess he changed the name. LOL! Seriously though, great review.
good review but weird how much praise you are giving them for doing the standard with the single joint and swivel elbows/knees. are there any domestic figures that have pins in those types of joints?
The entire Masters of the Universe Classics line which these are based on had single joints with pins (hell, thundercat ultimates still do). So, its a progression from that considering all Ultimates are in some ways based on MOTUC and fit in that overall aesthetic.
@@ToyBro i thought most of those had the bicep swivel tho, thats what made the Raphael impressive. splinter has the same style elbows as marvel legends females
Seems to be lots of hate for these guys. Not sure why, I'm just glad we are getting them, and they look good. I'm not gonna do crazy poses with them or anything. I think most of us just put them on a shelf and thats it. Perhaps, they don't have that extra articulation in the legs because he is so short.
Looks like you got a Splinter from opening that packaging! LOL! Get it? :P This Splinter is definitely my cup of tea even though he falls short in his articulation. I am disappointed in that but I still like what Super 7 did here. This new line is shaping up quite nicely. Cool review.
A cat with a rat and a killer queen. Lmao. Epic. So far loving this series but Splinter is my least favorite thus far. Waiting on my Raph and Thundercats currently. Love the SDCC Baxter though! Great review.
Almost every toy company does to some degree, it's not all that rare, really. Black Series is almost entirely single joints now, Marvel Legends still has them.
Super7 figures look way to cheap for the price they ask. Their shiny plastic looks bad. And don't get me started on the junk they pumped out when they took over the MOTUC-license or their totally outdated Reaction-line.
I remember Super7 doing a video on Splinter and saying how awesome the articulation is going to be.....well they lied. I was hoping the articulation was going to be great like they said and it should be for the price point. They look good though
I guess super 7 is up to their old tricks again...part of the reason why I gave up on them after the second wave of motu classics...
Wish it also came with a cartoon accurate head. I love the way his face was drawn in the cartoon. (never mind, I just clicked on another of your videos and see they did release a cartoon accurate Splinter :D )
Great review J! Thanks for sharing! I only picked up Raphael from this wave so it's great to see the other guys!
Beautiful, definitely getting 2 sets! Thanks for the review

The arrow in the last turnaround at the end of the video is so limp.
Nice review! This is a quality update of the old figure. The arms do seem a little long to me, and the peg on that robe was a bad choice. I honestly never cared for this design, but if you like the old figure, this is an easy purchase.
Every time you make a review it gets me more excited to finally get Wave 1 Turtles in hand... That's the whole point right? Awesome job Toy Bro!
I've always hated the vintage splinter....he always looked more like a beaver than a rat to me. The only thing I liked was his cane because it turned into a sword......this figure however turns it all around for me.
Man I'm so excited! Great review

Thanks for a great review video I’m excited for mine too arrive
Very good video, I'm buying from tmnt Neca and Super Seven. Very good this video broh 😃👏🇦🇷
the lack of thigh swivel makes him my least favorite of the wave. I really wanted him to be able to set cross legged with that hot tea.
18:40
Like a lot of people's vintage figure you can have naked super7 splinter to match your vintage figure
Looks awesome. Thanks for the review
good review but weird how much praise you are giving them for doing the standard with the single joint and swivel elbows/knees. are there any domestic figures that have pins in those types of joints?

I'm starting to love this figure
So many memories
Awesome look at the figure!
Wait, wasn't Hamato Yoshi the guy who owned the rat that would eventually mutate into a giant naked rat man? Wouldn't that make him Hamato Splinter?a
Seems to be lots of hate for these guys. Not sure why, I'm just glad we are getting them, and they look good. I'm not gonna do crazy poses with them or anything. I think most of us just put them on a shelf and thats it. Perhaps, they don't have that extra articulation in the legs because he is so short.
He looks way too buff, compared to the original. He also doesn't have that old man hunch. He's too upright.
Looks like you got a Splinter from opening that packaging! LOL! Get it? :P This Splinter is definitely my cup of tea even though he falls short in his articulation. I am disappointed in that but I still like what Super 7 did here. This new line is shaping up quite nicely. Cool review.
I prefer the soft goods kimono. I"d love to see a G.I.Joe Declassified Stormshadow use soft goods for a gi, that way it doesn't break it up.
Just like Dragon Soul's review
Could you review the Kenner classics ghostbusters soon please
No
See jism?! I like the figure but I’m not sure I’d get that excited over it 😊
Cool!
impressive
quintessencial review, dude! :D
Haven't watched yet, about to, but if i hear the word ''quintessential'' I'm gonna report you.
Hey! Where is the ever present Adam !!!!
Nice!
Why on earth did they design his neck joint like that? The neck articulation seems pretty much useless.
A cat with a rat and a killer queen. Lmao. Epic. So far loving this series but Splinter is my least favorite thus far. Waiting on my Raph and Thundercats currently. Love the SDCC Baxter though! Great review.
radical!!
Unfortunately his fur is very glossy :/
Who uses single joints these days 🤦
Almost every toy company does to some degree, it's not all that rare, really. Black Series is almost entirely single joints now, Marvel Legends still has them.

Mafex Hush Batman just came out and it's $10-$15 more than this... SuperOverpiced
@schwiggity have you been the upcoming splinter from Neca? That looks like a cool figure. Waaay better then this thing.
This figure is a definite pass.
