    Very honest review.
    I like that you also addressed the ray tracing.
    Maybe a power consumption analysis would have been interesting.

      GRE power consumption is 280-320watts if you Overclock the graphic card but Stock is gonna be like 260-290watts

      Thanks :) For power analysis I do those on my cards reviews like for the 7900GRE review which also have the 4070 Super and other cards.
      I still am in the process of translating some stuff over from my main channel sooo over time it will make more sense :)

    In all honesty if the RT setting gives anything less than 60fps without upscaling then for me personally RT is not even a factor when choosing between two competing cards. Like, I've picked 4060 low profile for one of my builds because it's the best bang for buck low profile GPU on the market right now that can fit in 3L case, not because it can play Cyberpunk with full RT in 20fps on it (it does 60fps+ with frame gen and DLSS but my god, it looks and plays horrendously with the added input delay on MKB). DLSS is something I can live with at 4k resolution where base source for upscalling has much more detail to work with but 1440p and lower, upscalling just makes everything look worse, regardless whether it's DLSS, FSR or XeSS - even if DLSS is the best of the bunch it still makes me feel like my eyesight is getting worse and it's time for glasses... I can't relate to people who say they can't tell the difference. In my mind, upscalling is something I would turn on only as a last resort compromise rather than something to be turned on by default to compensate for general lack power - like on a Steam Deck (where small screen doesn't make the effect nearly as extremely jarring as it does while sitting a meter away from 34'' display)

    We need to keep in mind, that in real life prices, 4070super costs 200€ more than 7900gre. It's 650 vs 850€ card comprasion.

    • @VCG-ENG
      @VCG-ENG  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 4070 Super is available easily at around 620 to 660€.. Just like the GRE can easily be found at around 550 to 570€. I don't know where you get those 200€ difference from unless you are mistaking with the 4070 Ti Super.
      And yeah.. Nvidia will always be more expensive, AMD don't have a choice but to be cheaper.

      Actually, I mistaken a bit. The cheapest 4070s (palit dual) I found here in 789€, but 3 fans (msi ventus) stars from 830. Chepest 7900gre (sapphire pulse) is 651.

    With this AMD card you dont really need FSR cus is a beast.

    • @VCG-ENG
      @VCG-ENG  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For now but in a few year having a good upscaler to fall back on will matter more. We also see more and more games without a basic TAA that then rely on FSR AA and DLSS AA like in Alan Wake 2 the IQ difference is very noticable. And I hope AMD will improve FSR because its very needed.

      @@hotdog9262 Everyone can go and get what they think will be the best.
      Ultimately.. both cards will age and will need to drop settings anyway.
      Its a bit like the 3080 10g atm, I would rather play at High settings with DLSS than Ultra with FSR.
      And until the next gen of consoles which is at minimum ~3.5 years + crossgen period of about 2 years, I don't see why the Vram needs would suddenly skyrocket either.
      For 1440p, 12g will be alright until then, be it the GRE ou 70 Super, they probably won't run ultra settings anymore in heavy game at that point anyway.
      People are just way too scared about Vram lately...

    The GRE is very impressive...but it isn't impressive enough. Especially with DLAA, RT, and frame gen, visuals are the deciding factor for me.

      I actually disagree, to me unless you have something like an rtx 4080 turning on the highest ray tracing settings in games like Cyberpunk just isn't worth it. Stuff like DLSS and framgen work best when you are already at 60fps, and to me there isn't a point to using high RT settings if you aren't hitting 60+ fps without anything extra, will just look like a messy slideshow. I have an OC rtx 4080 but if my budget was like $600 for a new card I don't think I would consider Nvidia tbh

      @@ezechieldzimeyor45414070 Super can run RT games at 1440p + DLSS Quality (or even Ultra Quality) and provide 60+ fps. So this card is fast enough for RT workloads.
      4080 can provide 100+ fps at 1440p + DLSS. You need this card only if you have high refresh rate 1440p screen, like 120 Hz or 144 Hz, or 4K screen. For 60/75/90 Hz 1440p screens 4070 Super is good enough.

      @@ezechieldzimeyor4541false, you clearly saw in the video when he used DLSS Q in cyberpunk at RT ultra he got 70fps average and with such high fps you can enable FG easily to have high refresh-rate experience. So no, you don't need a 4080 unless you're on a 4k panel. Before anyone come bashing to me I have a 4090.

      @@Ragssssss if that's how you game than that totally fair. For me I think I'd rather play Cyberpunk with slightly lower settings so that I can hit 90+ fps with DLSS over using Rt and getting 68, for me the RT wouldn't be worth the drop in fps. But everyone has their preferences so I guess it just depends
