It's very funny when you compare prices in US and in Europe, if a B580 is 250$ it should be about 240€ but it is selling for 400€, but rx6600 you can find for 220€

21:45 Blue PCB (or green or red, but especially green) is actually better for the eyes when working on it. It requires less light (than a black PCB) and you can actually tell when a component was fried and darkened the surrounding PCB area, whereas with a black PCB you can't tell that well (it's often brown-ish and brown on black is not immediately noticeable at a glance). So in the long run, a blue PCB is actually more maintainable, from an electronics perspective. It produces less e-waste (in theory).
I wish they brought back green PCBs. Green is the most visible (to our human eyes). You can really tell when a connector is interrupted or a component is toast. And it looks cool af.

The B580 is a budget GPU IF you have a high tier cpu. We are a fortunate family that got hold of a B580 at release. The B580 was NOT performing correctly regarding the specs, on our son's pc. His pc is a Ryzen 3600 cpu and even budget gamers wont be using something this old in most cases. I put the B580 in my rig with a 7800x3d. The performance gains were 12-20% just in the 3 games our son plays. That is unacceptable. The drivers need some serious attention and this might be addressed. But I would not recommend any budget gamer buy these hoping for future promises. Gaming devs do that and those games never deliver.
What is the purpose of buying a budget GPU if it only performs if you have mid - high tier components? Yes we needed an alternative budget GPU, now we need it to perform with budget gear.
We were able to sell our 3 week old B580 at an actual profit and replaced it with a used RX6750xt. It actually does what it says.
Edit: I do not have a ryzen 7600 and it is a low tier cpu- the B580 could work better with it. This was pointed out by a poster that may or may not have multiple cpu tiers to try this. I will change low tier/entry level cpus to older. This thing does not play at anywhere near it's peak on older cpus.
By the time the drivers are out to rectify this, it will be an old gpu just like Arc that now work better, several years later. If you have new low tier/entry level AM5/Intel cpus, this may work okay. You still are not buying this gpu if you have upgraded chipsets. Back to real budget gaming, this is not for era restricted budget gamers.

I'd consider this as intel's rtx 3060, both have nearly the same die size, almost the same amounts of vram, and same price range. Only difference being that one is new and has less well rounded drivers, and the other is older, slower, but cheaper and easier to get (used or new in a third world country like the one i live in), along with decent drivers.
(however since the 3060 is old, it works better with older stuff unlike this)

Prices I see in the EU:

    RTX 3060 = 260 euros
    RTX 4060 = 280 euros
    ARC B570 = 275 euros
    ARC B580 = 315 euros
Maybe ARC has more horsepower, but the prices are too high. If they want more buyers, they need to offer more for less rather than adopting a 'we are premium' mindset with luxury packaging + limiting availability and expecting gamers to pick ARC over RTX. Personally, I don't trust Intel GPUs and expect various software issues when using them.

But those lower end cards are like at least half a year away during which Intel gets to sell their great low budget cards, gain market share and mindshare. I really hope they keep going the way they've been so far. I currently have two systems with an Arc card (A770 and B580) and I totally plan to keep supporting Arc. I decided last generation that I'd be collecing Arc Limited Edition cards if Battlemage continued the positive trajectory they've been showing during their first generation so now I'm all in. Even considering whether I should collect Sparkle cards for the ones that don't have an LE version but looking at how much they cost compared to ASRock ones, and how ugly ASRock's Arc cards are, I'm not there yet xD
