I went with the 2x, mainly because it was on sale for $80 less than the 3x. I don't hear it at all, but my case is under my desk, but even if I could, I almost always play with a headset on anyway
I have both 3X and 2X, and my experience with a very small portable computer case got hotter with the 3X, because the 3X just filled up the case space that restricts the air circulation from the other fans inside the case. It is all about air flow and air circulation.
Spend an extra 200 dollars just to get the temperature 8 degrees Celsius lower and the fan speed reduced by 4000 rpm while the performance remains unchanged, the warranty is the same, I bought 2 fans, thank you
8 degrees lower while being much more quiet for $20 is no joke. You could probably lower the fan curve to match the temps of the x2 fan model while being dead silent at like 1000-1200 rpm
Something i noticed about the 2X, the fins are parallel to the card, so it vents out the back. The 3X has the same fin design as the 4080/4090s, and it vents hot air into the case. This makes the 2X a much better option for SFF builds as it won’t heat up the case as much
Depends. Not everyone, and not everytimes. I play a lot (too much) and I like sometimes to put off the headset for a period. Like Star Citizen long flights or waiting time. There are also games with extremely important sounds like Tarkov, you want no background noise at all if possible, despite the headset (it's never 100%)
hey we have the same name :O yeah here in brazil 1 dollar = 5,50 Reais lol and the triple fan it's like 500 reais more expensive (90 dollars) I don't think it's worth it
I just got a prebuilt with the 2 fan version and I must say even with a little coil whine (at least I think that’s what it is) and fan noise I am happy with the upgrade from using my laptop with a 6 gb 3060 immeasurably. My laptop fans were so loud that even the loudest this rig gets seems quiet to me lol. Plus I usually use headphones anyway
Experiencing such a contrast can be powerful. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your new PC.🙂 I'm using the Ventus 2X in my daily driver PC as well. It's a fine card.
Thank you! I must say I didn’t really expect much differences. If your case would fit an Ventura 3 is definitely worth it. Sadly my case only fits an Ventura 2 however I must also say, I rarely hear my gpu fans. Question first you mentioned an I7 and later an I5, what do you run?
Personal PC = i7 14700KF. But I've built the i5 14400 PC to test more budget-friendly GPU options such as RTX 4060 and RX 7600, etc on it. I believe, that would convey a more real-life experience to those who are looking for information about these GPUs before they build a PC. I'm not happy with how popular TH-camrs test these GPUs paired with the best performing CPUs (7800X3D/14900K) that no sane person would use in their actual budget PC build. Hopefully, I'll be able to get my hands on said GPUs soon.🙂 No luck with that just yet tho.
Thanks i see now whats the problem!! Mine ventus 2x rtx 4060 ti while gaming is always 80c temperature!! 8GB Version, but when i put gpu power 62 its always 69 - 74 temperature!! MUST BE PROBLEM in ventus 2x!! , so guys dont buy ventus 2x if you want your gpu to live longer.
great video, I've always wanted to know difference, but certainly 3x is worth the extra money. Less rpm means less noise, and less wear and tear for the fans, resulting in a longer duration components for the card.
@@kamipls6790fair point. 20 bucks is 20 bucks after all 😀 By the way, the Ventus 3X doesn’t need support even though it’s long because it is still a relatively lightweight card. No sagging.
Well I use always a very primitive but highly effective noisblocker that already existed 2000 BC, I drill a hole in a wall and place the PC in an other room... where it can also render at night... That brings me to my actual question: I woudl prefer the smaller Card in my case, noise does not care at all, BUT I will render a lot - meaning it will sometimes run 3-4 months straigt.... Noiselevel doesn't matter. If I am correct, I can simply go with the smaller card and with fans spinning fast it will just stay as cold and live as long? Or would you think the 3X will provide more longlivety? I will probabaly use it 4-6 years until I upgrade...
The 2x is great for a portable experience with an itx build. If the performance isn't affected between their sizes, then the lunchbox case is very much doable. Have the gpu on top with a mesh case to don't have heat problems because of blocked off flow from a glass enclosure, and you'll be fine
I have 4080 Super, and I undervolted it to 230-240watt (0.9V) instead of 320watt (3 coolers). My fans work on 35% (1325 rpm) with 100% gpu usage, temperature is less than 67C. And it's only 2-4% less FPS in games with undervolt. I like silence.:) I suppose that undervolt can make this dual-cooler videocard less loud than 3-cooler in stock. I used undervolt for 4070 too. It worked on 30% of rpm with 160watt (it had 3 coolers).
I buy 4070Ti Ventus 3x rev E. And this card is super vs my old 2080Ti Strix OC. Max temp and cooler is almost identical. 2080Ti Strix OC max temp GPU: 58-59C HS: 76C MEM 48C VOL 40db. 4070Ti Ventus 3X max temp GPU: 59-61 HS 72C MEM 45C VOL 40db.
I have 3 fan ventus 4080s. I have set the curve for fans manually to run it at nearly 2500+ rpm above 55 degree Celsius temps. So the temp of my card hovers around 50-58 degress on load. Yes that much rpm makes signifant noise, but I would rather have a cooler gpu than noise. And since mostly I play with headphones on so hardly ever I could hear it during gaming sessions.
My MSI Mech OC 5700 XT with its Torx 3.0 fans was obnoxiously loud and would always spin up to 100% to get the same temps (73C while drawing 200W) at the same room temp and with good case airflow. The heatsink looks exactly the same so I guess Torx 4.0 fans are just that much better
From my msi 2070 super ventus 2x oc, the ONLY issue I have with this card is it's temp, which isn't terrible 80c at 100 percent. However I have a extreme curve to the fans and am starting to suspect that I'm having issues as it gets past 80 degrees. It can handle the games but now it's for how long. When upgrading the thermal paste (gpu)and upgrading to thermal putty (vram) I think only extended it's temp life by two years. Been a great card but especially when considering a decent overclock I put on it as soon as it was installed.
I bought the Ventus 2x on the 14th May, sound does not bother me because most of the time I am wearing headphones while gaming or general computing. What did upset me and got me a bit worried was my Ventus 2x blew up last Sunday the 26th of May. I was playing a game on 4k, Ghost of Tsushima about 5 mins in and there was a puff sound and smoke came out of the side of the card and luckily my PC shut down. I had played the game for 45mins on the Friday with no problems. I removed the card immediately and it did not feel hot I then installed one of my old cards (GTX970) to see if the machine would boot up ok which it did. The dealer who sold me the card tested the card and it smoked for them too so they replaced the card with a new one. No problems with the new card up to now, was not sure if I should have asked for a different manufactorer,. I have Afterburner running now so I can keep a eye on the temps....lol a frightening experience even for a old guy like me.
That is very unfortunate. I'm happy to hear that you got a replacement so swiftly. There's always a chance to get a defective unit. No matter the manufacturer. I wouldn't worry about watching the temperature because that problem didn't happen because of overheating. It was an electrical problem. You can't catch it by watching the temps🙂 Luckily, modern power supplies come with all sorts of protections. That's why I thank that PSU is the most important part of PC. It can prevent fires and damage to other components by cutting power when required.
Thanks for your reply, I agree about psu’s. My computer had a Corsair M650 w psu, after the problem with the card and reading some reviews I have upgraded my psu to a Corsair RM850x so I have some overhead.
Thanks for the review. Even if it was a 50 dollar difference i would still get the 3 Fan GPU. I want good cooling meaning fans spin less and more silence
No, the 2x doesn't protudes more because of the "shroud" it protrudes more because it HAS LARGER DIAMETER FANS! how could you possible miss that? I think one is 92mm the other is 100mm from eyeballing it.
In my case, I'll have to get the 2fan option because I have an older case, any of the 3fan gpu requires a new case. I have several hd's for VM's & coding so many of the new case's don't provide enough mounting for storage. I will wait for Jan. 7th for all the new GPU announcements from both AMD & Nvidia and see what $800 gets me.
Hi, so i want to upgrade my Gpu, but i can't decide which should i choose beetween 4070s ventus 3x and 4070s gaming x slim. In my country the diff is about $20, any suggestion??
just paired 4070 super/7800x3d. its been a beast. a friend of mine wants to get a 4070 super but he has a i7 12700k. Do you think he will have bottlenecking issues?
Depends on what games your friend plays. In graphically demanding games the 12700K will do just fine. In competitive with lower graphics settings you may start feeling that the CPU may be holding you back. Not by much tho. So I'd say - go for it!👍
In 720p or 1080p, if you play >300 FPS, there are small bottleneck issues. If you play 1440p, you can go with most cpus >$200 and if you play 4k, even an i5 12600 KF for $160 is good enough. If you like eye candy, raytracing, $200 more for the GPU is a lot better than buying a better CPU.
In most games - no. I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy playing games on your new GPU🫡 Rare examples are poorly optimised games such as Dragon's Dogma 2 when you are in the city. I haven't seen a single CPU that can smoothly run that games in that scenario. I have i5 14400 and i7 14700KF. While the 14700KF provides a smoother experience, it is still far from normal. In contrast, the i5 is stuttering like crazy in the same scenario. As long as you don't play games like that then you'll be fine.
I ordered the 2X because the 3X was not available at BHPhoto. Since I will use it for AI, I will be dialing the power back to about 70-80% so probably not going to have any heat issues. Thanks for the video. Very good information.
There's no heat issues even with out of the box settings. It's just a little bit more noisy. That's all. I'm sure you'll have a good time with yours. Enjoy!😉
Great video, thanks)) In your opinion, what is the quietest card in this series?) Could you recommend this? The system unit is on the table, noise is important.
Gaming x slim is pretty quiet. But even the Ventus 3x was fine for me. But I didn’t try it during the hot months of summer. So, it might be a bit less quieter than when I experienced it before making this video.
Can't say that I do. But when I tested Warzone for my big 4070 SUPER review I didn't notice any stutters - th-cam.com/video/g3cVRPDGtyo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uk6l8PvZcAhCctE5&t=3099 I wish you a wonderful weekend as well!🤝 Thanks for watching my videos. I appreciate it🙂
If there was Power color 4070 super Hellhound it would be high on my shoping list, i know they are AMD only. My 7800xt was like 30 euros more than ref and it works dead silent on 55/70c.. I dont like entry 4070/super models at all, they look to cheap for that price. Like GPUs from two tiers bellow. Its just my opinion.
They are not only looking cheap , they are indeed cheap , and if you want a good looking one with a good built quality you usually have to pay 100-150$ extra to get one.
I'm seriously thinking about selling my unopened PNY 4070s dual and buying an rx7800xt Hellhound. The cooling performance of Power color's triple fan model is extraordinary. I would have bought Hellhound if PNY didn't have a special sale...
Depends on your preference. The Gaming X Slim is the quietest out of the bunch. The Ventus 3X is a great option that I personally would've chosen. The Ventus 2X is simply good enough for most use cases. I used the Ventus 2X as my daily driver for many months and had no complaints even though I use speakers and my PC is sitting on my desk. It generates some noise but not enough to bother me.
What do you think: is it worth paying 60 dollars more for MSI Gaming X Slim version of this card or the difference is unnoticeable and there is no sense?
I think the VENTUS 3X is more than enough unless you’re specifically looking for quieter GPU operation for that extra peace of mind. Personally, I wouldn’t bother with the SLIM if you’re after good value for money.
@theivadim well after rx7800xt Gigabyte gaming oc with excessive coil whine, loud noise in gaming at 80 degrees/2500rpm...I don't even know. Here in Ukraine it costs much more than in the US. In America this GPU costs a little bit more than 600 bucks, but here it is 811 dollars with taxes, customs and markups included. While Ventus 3x is just 750. I am so bothered with loud GPU noise, hence I want it to be as quiet as possible. Preferably it doesn't overcome sound of PC fans during the most intense gaming.
That’s the exact GIGABYTE GPU I’m testing right now. 🙂 It really is way too loud, especially for a 3-fan cooler-ridiculous. If you want the best, go for the SLIM, but the VENTUS 3X is great too. I have no complaints after using it for a while.
@@theivadim I am really thankful for your generous reply. It was a pleasant thing to get feedback. I have enough time to think about my decision, don't want to spend almost 1700 bucks on non-desired pc.
@@ehrmantrout No worries. 🙂 Just a reminder that NVIDIA is expected to reveal the RTX 50 series GPUs in just 3 weeks at CES on January 6th. It might be worth waiting to see what they announce.
i would go for 2x cuz cheaper and i actually do prefer smaller gpu since the big ones tend to sag very badly where i have to invest another 20-30 euros for sag bracket
How come a GPU that only pulls 200W is generating so much heat... Damn. 76ºc GPU and 86ºc Hotspot... with 2000 RPM! I have a RX 7800XT that pulls 280W (Sapphire Pulse, also 2-fan model) and at that wattage, my fan curve gets to about 1500-1600RPM with 60ºc on GPU and 80ºc on Hotspot, and the best thing is that it's barely audible.
8 degree C difference is not nothing too in terms of making your room hot. The extra bucks of the 3 fan will definitely pay itself in not having to lower your AC temperature to compensate.
That's not how energy transfer works. Your PC will still dump the same amount of heat (energy) into your room no matter how many fans you have on your GPU. 200W is still 200W no matter how many fans you use to disperse it.
Beautiful video. I just wanted to know if you know the difference between the Ventus 3x and the Ventus 3x version E. On the site, the comparison presents no differences. Thanks.
Before i watch my guess is the 3x will stay a bit cooler (More Mass and Cooling) Frame rates will be close with the edge going in most titles to the 3x....
1 out of 2 correct🙂 The truth is - nowadays the most expensive model may offer maybe 3% more FPS over the cheapest one. Essentially, you're paying for better cooling, better looks, and quieter experience.
A lot of folks say these Ventus underperform other GPU cards. In your experience, is this the case? Or did you notice results in line with other 4070 Supers?
Well it's kinda true, tou shouldn't buy the chipset gpu usually im buying same card for 125 $ more expensive for better cooling solution and being quiet
Should i apply that card holder MSI gives for 3x or its fine without it because its slim version? This thing is pretty big and need to remove some case for it.
I didn't have any holder with my Ventus 3X. To me it's feels fine without additional support because the card is not that heavy. I haven't seen any bending or GPU sagging. Also, if you don't like big brackets then you can get another types of GPU support that are much more compact. Just search for "GPU support" on a large online retailer of your choice.
I bought the PNY 4070 super VERTO Dual Fan, but am concerned after learning recently about the durability issues with GeForce. I'm wondering whether to buy another triple fan model or the RX7800XT triple fan model. In my country, PNY products come with a three-year warranty, so if they break within that period, they can be airlifted to the US for repair or replacement, but I feel like if I buy the Hellhound 7800XT, which has better cooling performance, I can play safely for five years. I think it's more important to have a triple fan, even if it has slightly lower performance, than to have a 4070 super. Since I haven't even unboxed the PNY Dual yet, I can buy the Hellhound 7800XT without any loss.
@@theivadim I think it depends on the environment and how you use it, but many people have reported that the grease and thermal pads inside their graphic boards are deteriorating faster than expected. A board that can no longer handle the heat will have hot spots exceeding 100 degrees within minutes. If the 4000 generation breaks within a year of purchase, it is assumed that poor processing and poor quality materials during manufacturing were the cause. I haven't decided which board I will use yet, but whatever I use, I plan to use it while blowing air from the bottom of the case towards the board.
I wouldn't worry about that if you plan on using your PC in normal conditions like 18-27C ambient room temperature. Any Ventus card will do fine. I still prefer the 3X version🙂
It turns out that varies from connector to connector. I had an opportunity to put this GPU into other PCs with other PSUs and cables and sometimes it's hard to unplug it, sometimes it's easy.
does the 2X have rgb or no? I can't figure it out from the video, sometimes I looks like it does and then sometimes like it doesn't. Also can't find it anywhere on any website hahah
No, my units were fine. However, based on my extensive experience with countless graphics cards from different manufacturers, I can confidently say that any model has the potential to develop coil whine. It's a common occurrence; you could have 100 identical cards, and one of them might have this issue.
Logically there’s no reason for 3 fan models to exist since the 9 series they started using those for better cooling years ago when gpu got hotter since like the 9 series was the last time a 3 fan card made any real difference in being cooler by a good amount Not only does 3 fans cost more their bigger and need a bigger case It’s just better to pay less and get a smaller one on top a bigger one can have slag easier than a smaller 2 fan cause of the weight
Operating at 95-100+ C is pretty normal for silicon-based chips. The product will become obsolete way before you'll see any meaningful degradation because of temperature. Irresponsible use of voltage on the other hand is more important than temperature as was proven by Intel's latest issues plaguing some top-tier 13th and 14th gen CPU units.
Greetings and good evening. I switched from 4060 graphics card to MSI Ventus 4070 super 2x graphics card. I saw 83 degrees in the furmark test. I know it is a series that gets hot. I don't think the air flow of my case is that good. The city I'm in is Denizli, it's hot, it's a roadside house, the heat of the road hits the room, I don't have air conditioning, so it's very hot, there's only a fan. There are no drops or anything, it plays stable, but it came to my mind and I wanted to ask, does anyone have an idea to do something like this? My previous card had a 4060 ventus 2x and it did not exceed 71 degrees. Good evening.
guess 3 fan runs cooler and quieter...but with case restriction, you might restrict to 2 fan only cards. also if you use headphones for gaming...fan will become non-issue. unless it go jet level.
Today I bought a new 4070ti super msi ventus 3x for $900. Not a bad replacement for my 4070ti (paying an additional $140) after selling the previous one. There are fewer friezes at Hogwarts due to lack of memory (since it began to eat under 13GB and there is a reserve of 3 GB (apparently this is the problem with friezes) No thx ))
2x and it's on road. I have a mini pc (rysen 7900 limited to 95% performance to be completeley silent +dan A4) and the maximum size of videcards is 305mm. I will decrease power ( i always do that+ fancurve ) and lose 15 % performance in msi afterbuner to have a perfect silent mini sistem. I dont game with headset.
TL;DR : if your computer case can fit it, there is no reason at all to not go for 3X right ? The more the component can cool, better it is anyway, disregarding noise. Less heat is always better. The price difference is irrelevant IMO. The card is already too expensive but it's common sadly now.
Are you referring to the one with glass front? It's called CyberPower Prism. I don't think you can get it on its own. It comes as part of the CyberPower prebuilt PC.
I feel like the ventus 2x should be better suited for a lower tier card like a 4060. I have a ventus 2x 3060 and even then, it’s a bit more noisier than I’d like. When it’s at 100% speed which fortunately isn’t most of the time, it’s beyond tolerable for me
VENTUS 2X cooler design can be different on different tier cards. Works well enough on this 4070 SUPER. I've been using it for several months and can't complain.
@@theivadimI’ve seen another channel mention the hot spot reaches 85-86c which would put it at the same level as the gigabyte eagle oc which was rated one of the worse models by HUB. I’m going to try to get one of the three fan versions or the Asus dual which is much cooler and quieter than ventus 2x. In your test, the gpu temp and the gpu hot spot are both 10c lower on the 3x so I'm thinking of spending the extra $ to get the quieter, and cooler model. Not that the 2x won't perform as well, but personally prefer the cooler and quieter model.

Probably should’ve saved an extra 100 bucks and gotten a new case with great airflow. New titles even at medium settings are making GPUs run hot.
how about the price sir 3 fans vs 2 fans price it same???
Hopefully, I'll be able to get my hands on said GPUs soon.🙂 No luck with that just yet tho.
gracias por el video!, ahora ya sé que iré por el 3x
Very nice video sir, exactly what I was looking for.
Glad it helped
W video, very useful in my decision-making for a purchase
Great to hear!
Thanks i see now whats the problem!! Mine ventus 2x rtx 4060 ti while gaming is always 80c temperature!! 8GB Version, but when i put gpu power 62 its always 69 - 74 temperature!! MUST BE PROBLEM in ventus 2x!! , so guys dont buy ventus 2x if you want your gpu to live longer.
what is the difference between 4070 VENTUS 2X E1 12G OC and Msi Ventus 2X RTX 4070 12 GB version, which is better
Both are very bad just wrote on TH-cam Best 4070 graphics cards ... Go with any other companies.
Must be some great binning to get absolutely identical performance lol
My case only allows for 2 fans but I went with galax.
thank you for the comparison
great video, I've always wanted to know difference, but certainly 3x is worth the extra money.
Less rpm means less noise, and less wear and tear for the fans, resulting in a longer duration components for the card.
Couldn't agree more!
Which card do you prefer?
I would save the 20 bucks, undervolt as I always do and get a card, that needs no support. I don't enjoy the sagging issue with the beefy cards.
@@kamipls6790fair point. 20 bucks is 20 bucks after all 😀 By the way, the Ventus 3X doesn’t need support even though it’s long because it is still a relatively lightweight card. No sagging.
neither, the ventus are the worst cards (i have a 2070 super ventus and it was shit before i watercooled it)
The only reason for 2x is a compact pc case
I like silence.:)
I suppose that undervolt can make this dual-cooler videocard less loud than 3-cooler in stock.
I used undervolt for 4070 too. It worked on 30% of rpm with 160watt (it had 3 coolers).
Now check the game with division 2. And watch how temps show 5-10C higher!
I buy 4070Ti Ventus 3x rev E. And this card is super vs my old 2080Ti Strix OC. Max temp and cooler is almost identical.
2080Ti Strix OC max temp GPU: 58-59C HS: 76C MEM 48C VOL 40db.
4070Ti Ventus 3X max temp GPU: 59-61 HS 72C MEM 45C VOL 40db.
I love the look of 3x Ventus. I have a 3x rtx 2080 super and looks so nice. And performs pretty well for the age
Indeed. It's easy on the eyes🙂
Good test, but usually buyers of 2x have a space issue! Otherwise 3x is the preferred option, always, no?
Brother, if you think THAT'S loud... xD a friend of mine plays next to a literal jet engine.
yeah I heard nothing lol
Thinking about getting the asus prime 3x 4070 super. Have you heard anything negative about it?
I haven't hear anything at all about it.🙂
@theivadim which 4070 super would you recommend
I'm glad it was helpful🙂
thanks buddy!
Glad to help!
i got 2x still heat level never reach up to 45
Hey, i saw on ur spec sheet that u hace a A850GL, and im wondering is it a good psu for the 4070 Super? Im considering the A750GL
I've had it for two months. Works well for me.
@@theivadim alright sick, thanks! Im debating to either buy the 750GL or RM750e which was 20$ more
No, the 2x doesn't protudes more because of the "shroud" it protrudes more because it HAS LARGER DIAMETER FANS! how could you possible miss that? I think one is 92mm the other is 100mm from eyeballing it.
In my case, I'll have to get the 2fan option because I have an older case, any of the 3fan gpu requires a new case. I have several hd's for VM's & coding so many of the new case's don't provide enough mounting for storage. I will wait for Jan. 7th for all the new GPU announcements from both AMD & Nvidia and see what $800 gets me.
Indeed, I haven’t seen any modern cases that support more than 2 HDDs. Do you think that might be because more people are using NAS systems instead?
Is there much difference between the 4060Ti and the 4070Ti. What is it?
+60% in performance for 4070TI
4060ti is not worth it
rx7800xt more powerfull than 4060ti trash.
Hi, so i want to upgrade my Gpu, but i can't decide which should i choose beetween 4070s ventus 3x and 4070s gaming x slim. In my country the diff is about $20, any suggestion??
Gaming X Slim should be the quieter one. Although, the Ventus 3X is already pretty quiet.
just paired 4070 super/7800x3d. its been a beast. a friend of mine wants to get a 4070 super but he has a i7 12700k. Do you think he will have bottlenecking issues?
Depends on what games your friend plays. In graphically demanding games the 12700K will do just fine. In competitive with lower graphics settings you may start feeling that the CPU may be holding you back. Not by much tho. So I'd say - go for it!👍
What a foolish question)) of course it will be fine. If not, use 1440p and get best graphics and 100% usage
In 720p or 1080p, if you play >300 FPS, there are small bottleneck issues. If you play 1440p, you can go with most cpus >$200 and if you play 4k, even an i5 12600 KF for $160 is good enough. If you like eye candy, raytracing, $200 more for the GPU is a lot better than buying a better CPU.
nop lol
Will i5 12600 not k bottleneck my 4070 super at 1440p max settings in singleplayer games?
In most games - no. I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy playing games on your new GPU🫡
Rare examples are poorly optimised games such as Dragon's Dogma 2 when you are in the city.
MSI did the same thing with the 3060 12GB models.
Gonna go with 4070 super 2x ventus coming from 2060 super performance leap will be huge
Nice! Enjoy🙂
what about the $200 price difference in my country?) which card would you recommend getting? PS rhetorical question
the cheaper one obviously
Cheaper no doubt
you buy the two fans if you plan to watercool. you dont buy the 3x fan because your gonna be stripping the heatsink off.
I saw in another review there’s 1 chip that is away from the fans and heats tremendously upto 100 degrees
The temperatures are high, because that case is very large for a 2-fan graphics card.
Enjoy!😉
It's pretty dam good at ai then my 3080 I was wanting a 3090 for vram but this surprised me and it's better in gaming then 3090 im happy with it
Great video, thanks))
In your opinion, what is the quietest card in this series?) Could you recommend this? The system unit is on the table, noise is important.
Gaming x slim is pretty quiet. But even the Ventus 3x was fine for me. But I didn’t try it during the hot months of summer. So, it might be a bit less quieter than when I experienced it before making this video.
Hi Vadim! do you think there is any thermal or overheating issues with the x2? I just purchased it and am worried I dont have a reliable 4070 super.
Hi!👋 I don't have any issues with mine. I have the X2 in my personal PC.
@@theivadim Your the best, have an amazing weekend
@@theivadim do you happen to play COD warzone ? i get so much micro stutters playing it
Can't say that I do. But when I tested Warzone for my big 4070 SUPER review I didn't notice any stutters - th-cam.com/video/g3cVRPDGtyo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uk6l8PvZcAhCctE5&t=3099
I wish you a wonderful weekend as well!🤝 Thanks for watching my videos.
Help me out here...in my country these are the prices:
ventus 2x- 672usd
ventus 3x- 705usd
gaming x slim- 751usd
which one should I choose?
Depends on your preference. The Gaming X Slim is the quietest out of the bunch. The Ventus 3X is a great option that I personally would've chosen. The Ventus 2X is simply good enough for most use cases. I used the Ventus 2X as my daily driver for many months and had no complaints even though I use speakers and my PC is sitting on my desk. It generates some noise but not enough to bother me.
@theivadim percentage wise how much better in terms of performance would you say are the ventus 3x and gaming x slim compared to ventus 2x?
As in compute performance or cooling performance? I assume you're asking about compute. The difference is insignificant. Not worth even the extra $10.
Thank you so mash
I'm glad the vid was helpful. Thank you for watching 🤝🙂
Less than 75c with 200w usage is plausible
I'd get this 4070super once it's $399 someday
Probably shitty factory thermal paste and thermal pad. I changed mine and overall temp reduced by 15 degrees
Excellent video SIr but what application you have used for monitoring these tempratures?
CapFrameX
Worth $20 to run 10 degrees cooler? I’d say so.
2:40 horror film
😄
Yeah, I had to skip him fighting with the cable. Too frustrating to watch, especially with shaky camera.
Thanks.
I had no idea that there's also E version. The one in this video is not E. I've no idea what the difference is.🙂
The E version has proper vram thermal pads (which were missing on the original) but it has GDDR6 vram instead of GDDR6X
@@Nazwatonazwano
@@cthulhu_original yes
Should i apply that card holder MSI gives for 3x or its fine without it because its slim version? This thing is pretty big and need to remove some case for it.
I didn't have any holder with my Ventus 3X. To me it's feels fine without additional support because the card is not that heavy. I haven't seen any bending or GPU sagging. Also, if you don't like big brackets then you can get another types of GPU support that are much more compact. Just search for "GPU support" on a large online retailer of your choice.
i brought Gigabyte 4070 super couple days ago and it runs very quite and cool
I’m not aware of any durability issues. Is it something specific to hot climate conditions?
I got the 2x and not having the problem getting 8pin out😂😂 lack of man grip bro... Mine is easy to unclip in 2 seconds.
It turns out that varies from connector to connector. I had an opportunity to put this GPU into other PCs with other PSUs and cables and sometimes it's hard to unplug it, sometimes it's easy.
Just picked up the 2x for $400
does the 2X have rgb or no? I can't figure it out from the video, sometimes I looks like it does and then sometimes like it doesn't. Also can't find it anywhere on any website hahah
Both don't have RGB or any lights.
@@theivadim thank you G 👍👍
Just a question, did you notice any coil whine on either of the GPUs?
No, my units were fine. However, based on my extensive experience with countless graphics cards from different manufacturers, I can confidently say that any model has the potential to develop coil whine. It's a common occurrence; you could have 100 identical cards, and one of them might have this issue.
@@theivadim oh ok thanks!
Logically there’s no reason for 3 fan models to exist since the 9 series
they started using those for better cooling years ago when gpu got hotter
since like the 9 series was the last time a 3 fan card made any real difference in being cooler by a good amount
Not only does 3 fans cost more their bigger and need a bigger case
It’s just better to pay less and get a smaller one
on top a bigger one can have slag easier than a smaller 2 fan cause of the weight
70-73 GPU temp is normal?
Will this cause problems for the video card? And hotspot 85-87 is not too much?
Operating at 95-100+ C is pretty normal for silicon-based chips. The product will become obsolete way before you'll see any meaningful degradation because of temperature. Irresponsible use of voltage on the other hand is more important than temperature as was proven by Intel's latest issues plaguing some top-tier 13th and 14th gen CPU units.
@@theivadim Thx :)
What temperatures do you get in game ? Like in Cyberpunk as i saw you playing on your YT channel.
guess 3 fan runs cooler and quieter...but with case restriction, you might restrict to 2 fan only cards. also if you use headphones for gaming...fan will become non-issue. unless it go jet level.
Im using the msi mag forge m100a case and ngl idk if the 3x vectus rtx 4060 will fit on the case
My room gets 100+degrees F in the summer, looking to get the 3x for the coolingness
Wow. That is toasty🙂 3-fan card will definitely help.
Does bro not have AC?
@ no, no insolation in my room too so whens its hot its hot and cold is coldd
What's the first case called? Can't find it anywhere
