It should still go off. Head has a chance to roll off the frontal airbags to the side, causing whiplash.
A car hitting fully square on is unlikely, and even if it did there is likely to be secondary lateral deflection. A family friend was hit head on and his head went through the side window then hit the A-pillar, and was killed instantly. In an Audi with no airbags.
You get to live once. Are you really worried about extra airbags being deployed in case of a fatal accident rather than being worried for your life?

But not 5 star in Aus?
"Chinese" this word, make it can't get 5 star.
Aus no star for China , BYD, because USA said so
Maybe Australia's safety standards are higher than the EU's? Don't worry, BYD will make tank-standard cars for Australians.
1:22 tests for people without forearms
Flying plastics at 1:35... Angled impact could throw this projectile directly into drivers head.
Doesn't affect the rating. Plenty of other cars have this occur as well. It's due to the side airbags cover coming off. Are you going to complain about the broken glass too?

Wonderful if you drive at 50 kph
That’s the standard speed that all cars are tested at.
This is the road crash test

I can see all the paid comment who are praising car by the way they are hired by byd company so that they attract customer by their review ..so being honest I suggest buy Japanese company car instead of Chinese product..

Great car. However we should drive only 50 km/h on the road. The car should limit car speed at 50km/hr because if we drive over test speed from this vdo we will be like "Dust in the wind"
