The ACs - Armored Core titles as well as the Ace Combat series - had some of the best mech and flight/plane imagery to their intros on the PS1 and PS2. Thanks for uploading this in HD. 👍 🔥 🤷♂️ 👉 Has anyone been able to emulate the 4-pin firewire system link - originally via the s400 port on older phat PS2 models -for the earlier Armored Core titles that relied solely upon it before ethernet LAN was finally added?
@@sygos , Yep, a short list of titles exists - among them: Age of Empires II (PAL), Gran Turismo 3, Time Crisis 2 and 3, Lethal Skies II, Sillent Scope 2; Dark Silhouette, Unreal Tournament (NTSC-U/C) and some others..... IIRC, after AC2 and, possibly, AC2:AA, more than two players were supported over 4-pin FireWire via Firewire hub or, in some cases, split-screen over Firewire. IIRC, 3 and onward supported an (N)th console that functions as a spectator point of view. It would be great to see the iLink/Firewire/IEEE1394 connection emulated if not at least, first, adapted over powered-ethernet.
even the music in the game is incredible. is it just me or did the music and graphics progressively get worse and worse as the series went along? By the time last raven came out the graphics had turned to fuzzy mud, and the music was so friggin depressing
The game sets to widescreen when it is prompted by the 16:9 ratio setting in the PS2 internal menu. or go to PCSX2 -> System -> Game Settings -> Enable the widescreen.
Man, I miss Armored Core. Hope FromSoftware making more Armored Core game instead of focusing 'Souls' game nowadays.
Hope you saw the news of AC6 coming next year cuz god damn I'm hyped af

Did you have any problems with the HUD? Specifically on Defend the Bridge. It'll randomly just turn into flat rectangles. I haven't found a fix.
Wait hold on, Armored Core 2 was released on Psx, what the hell?
