I always pick energy drain for my infiltrator. Imo the class should have this power by default since the only other offensive power you have is incinerate. Energy drain also makes cryo ammo really viable because you can strip shields and then just spray them with cryo SMG bullets. I basically turn it into a combat engineer without the drone but with a sniper.
@@ShadowSmith14 it's fun and adds variety. For example a heavy pistol takes only one shot to freeze with cryo rounds which can help with enemies like the krogan or those cloaked geth who charge you.
I like how others put so much thought into their build, while I just picked flare and take a biotic squad mate with me on hardcore, annihilated everything.
Something I like to do as an Infiltrator in ME3 is using a shotgun as my main weapon, and leaving the long-range sniping to a handcannon like the Paladin. That way I get to exploit the insane mobility and impunity Tactical Cloak offers, putting myself behind enemy lines, exploding heads point-blank and being an escape artist. A good way to not get melted as soon as Tactical Cloak wears off is speccing it so it lets you fire ONE power during it without breaking it. You Sabotage your targets at close range and blast them, so that when you become visible they can't retaliate with their overheated guns. Plus, you can spec Sabotage to make enemies take more damage for a while, so it all synergizes very well.
The viper with maxed cryo ammo instantly freezes in a single shot, throw out an incinerate and it's a huge satisfying cryo explosion. It carries you through every single fodder enemy and effect all armoured enemies by sowing and weakening the armour. Combined with the cloak ability that allows you to cast a power without decloaking allows huge assassination damage with incinerate. One shotting brutes when combined with sabotage. Infiltrator is literally so op
In mass effect 3 I find there are a lot of enemy’s without protection. With that plus the fact cryo ammo also weakens armour as well I think it works much better. I like to put it on squad and use it on my smg so that if any enemy gets close I can freeze them if my squad doesn’t do it first.
@@NeightrixPrime I use energy drain as a bonus power for shields since snipers are regularly very good against armour. I know it’s possible to shoot through the shield gate but it’s not practical. If I’m facing a shield or barrier I cloak energy drain shoot, the energy drain takes the shield then I finish them off.
@@NeightrixPrime I still use disrupter ammo for banshees and atlases until I get the shield and barrier off but I find the shield gate is the greatest enemy of infiltrators.
ME1 Infiltrator: I am gonna hide behind my squadmates and shoot the enemy with pistol, because geth pulse rifle is more effective than the best sniper rifle. ME2 Inflitrator: hold the Emperor in your heart, but focus on your enemy at hand.
Other tip. I used carnage or other extremely powerful power and focus only on damaged and tactical cloak in recharge speed. Activate tactical clock use the power and shoot. It deal a ton of damaged and isted of waiting for 16 or x amount of seconds to recharge that power it only takes the time of tactical cloak to recharge
Thank you. I very much enjoyed your class guides. With squadmate, power, weapon and tactic advise & commentary on how the class changes from game to game, your guides are the most useful that I have come across. Any plans on releasing guides to the last two classes, Soldier and Vanguard?
Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed the guides! And as a matter of fact, my Soldier guide is coming out tomorrow morning, with the Vanguard video coming out in September!
Of course you are playing this on PC. IT's different when it comes to Console PS5, and XBox. Still, PC does have more of the better MOD'S for set up.... That being said??? You right, The sniper rifle? IS Bad *SS!!! Leveled up, at 10. along with the BEST attachments. I can one shot shields, and All enemies and drop them like a bad habit. Couple this with a "pause" look around capability??? And its like a slowmo, A Matrix move! OFF THE HOOK!!! The only problematic charter's I had an issue with? Is the Krogan, and the Red Geth... They? Will run up on you like a bull!. Oh my goodness, *Thats with the game set on the highest setting. Talk about insane. Great share!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👌 4:22
Cry ammo not usefull on insanity? Did we play the same game? For the mere setup of 2 casts of squad cryo ammo (and switching your squads weapons in between) they will freeze everything around you. Take squad members with assault rifles or smg's. It worked in the OG ME2 and ME3, it worked in the legendary edition. This makes killing collectors a breeze. Setup the squad ammo for your squad, then apply your own ammo, I like warp ammo on infiltrator and use the fire ammo on vanguard. Only shame about squad cryo ammo is that it took me to almost the suicide mission on my first run to figure out how strong it is. On my vanguard run it was one of the first things i unlocked.
Hey, nice vid. I think it'd help your videos a lot more adding simple pros and cons outlines. I noticed you put these EDI huds into your videos. They sure do add quality to your vids but not sure if it's really boosting the utility of your vids besides the aesthetic effects. You must put in so much time into all that editing. I hope the critique helps.
I personally like the Infiltrator more in ME1! The engineer is fine throughout the game, but it’s in the later games where the Engineer gets new toys that it gets really fun!
There’s also achievements associated with playing each of the 3 games on Insanity but besides that, nope just difficulty and saying you got to beat it at the hardest setting
Nice to see someone not peddling bs. There's some twat with an "me3 insanity infiltrator build" thats one shotting cerberus centurions with the black widow. No need to explain why he's talking bull
Glad to see you enjoyed it! I believe the highest damage to Centurions from full is through full shields and a quarter of health give or take. That’s at least the most I did in my play through!
@@ShadowSmith14 100% dmg reduction shield gate on insanity, so the max is quite literally whatever is left of the shields unless you have a specific weapon. Venom pellets hit past it, because the pellets are a seperate "shot" or calculation. Javelin and kishock work for some weird reason as well

Cryo-Ammo is good for taking down husks because they’ll freeze before their health bar is down and will explode. Good for big groups.

The critique definitely helped! I thought about scaling it down a bit and think I achieved a pretty good balance in my Sentinel video!
I love your class vidéo.
I'm stuck on the Clone battle, it's insanity!
Yeah I had an extremely tough time with that battle! I was like, “I built this character to beat insanity, not to beat myself!”
In me1 would u consider infiltrater much better then engineer?

Honestly, I think Vanguard is more difficult on Insanity mode
I chose singularity for my bonus talent.
You should do a Jurassic World Evolution video, before the new one comes out in November! Also I really enjoyed your video!

Once you play on Insanity, nothing else compares. Much more technical, combat is way more engaging, just an overall better experience.
