in mass effect 2 adepts can use assault riffles
garbage music, so unnecessary
My 2 cents on Vanguard Powers in ME 2 and 3 playing on Insanity... Bonus power: In ME 2 I'd say Barrier is a MUST. It saved my life hundreds of times. Also in ME3 I'd pick a passive but this time Fortification is the superior pick. 30% damage reduction and 30% extra power damage and force at the mere penalty of 20% slower power use? Yes please. I don't think another ammo power is worth it as a passive. Cryo and incendiary are good enough and theres the schredder mod on shotguns if you want armor piercing. I see a lot of people suggest energy drain as a good vanguard bonus power which is imho a terrible pick. Why do you want 2 active powers that both do the same thing sharing the same cooldown timer? You'll want to use charge to restore your barrier not energy drain. Half Blast Nova with pierce is also much better at destroying enemy shields. The Smart Choke mod for shotguns also make it much easier to one shot enemies with headshots, even shielded enemies like centurions and marauders. As for active powers, I think pull is the best pick in ME2 and shockwave easily beats pull in ME3 but maybe thats just personal preference. Shockwave is great because of the massive force bonusses you get as a vanguard and from fortification. And the lift upgrade you get at lvl6 allows it to basically function as a pull. The biggest reason I love Shockwave so much is its synergy with my secondary weapon: The Hurricane SMG equipped with incendiary ammo and explosive blast. It works well with any smg though. Youll be constantly setting up your own biotic detonations and its a nice break from nova/charge everything. I also recommend using cryo ammo for your shotgun and incendiary for your smg or assault rifle. Works better that way. If you really want an active bonus power because you don't want shockwave or pull , lash is probably the best pick.
What armor do you recommend for insanity in mass effect 2 and 3? I’m trying to go for the insanity II and III trophies!
Just got the Legendary edition, & your guides have been very useful, Ty 👍 9 bucks on Steam atm btw!
I realize this is old by today's standards that being said, what about companion builds
Thank you! I was worrying about the vanguard on ME3 insanity. Glad to also know my usual team of Liara and Garrus is good as well
Garrus is always my go to squad mate! Hope your playthrough goes well!
Who thinks adepts are paragon
In me1 would u consider infiltrater much better then engineer?
I personally like the Infiltrator more in ME1! The engineer is fine throughout the game, but it’s in the later games where the Engineer gets new toys that it gets really fun!
Hello 👋 so I'm trying to do the engineer class in mass effect 3 but it's my first time using it and I want it to be good. So I'm asking any one who has played engineer class before for advice on best powers, bonus power and weapons for the class please and thank you.
Cry ammo not usefull on insanity? Did we play the same game? For the mere setup of 2 casts of squad cryo ammo (and switching your squads weapons in between) they will freeze everything around you. Take squad members with assault rifles or smg's. It worked in the OG ME2 and ME3, it worked in the legendary edition. This makes killing collectors a breeze. Setup the squad ammo for your squad, then apply your own ammo, I like warp ammo on infiltrator and use the fire ammo on vanguard. Only shame about squad cryo ammo is that it took me to almost the suicide mission on my first run to figure out how strong it is. On my vanguard run it was one of the first things i unlocked.
2:00 Yeah your entire argument here is undercut by the fact it's taking you forever to take out this armature. In ME1, assault rifles are king. Idc if you're the infiltrator and have maxed out sniper rifle, assault rifles do every gun's job better. A good assault rifle will melt this armature in seconds, even if your class can't level that talent
As an adept, I was able to destroy most if not all enemies with a Sniper. By taking Bastion which allowed me to use stasis offensively, Snipers were easily the most usable, esspecially with high explosive ammo. My point is that Snipers just handle so much and are very usable for Crowd Control classes like Adept, Vanguard, and Sentinal. At least in ME1. Besides, you'd need to select either as a bonus power.
In ME 1 you can use Stasis in Besieged to prevent the drugged scientists to be killed.
Good video! Personally though I would recommend AP ammo in ME2 nearly exclusively, it rips through all defenses very efficiently. The only time I’d use another ammo is when fighting geth, disruptor is noticeably better against them as it can disable them for a brief moment every time you hit them once their shields are down.
I finally managed to beat all 3 games on insanity and I could not of done it without the Sentinel. It’s bulky, defensive and quite fun when you want to be more biotic or in the mood to be more tech. Thank you for this video!
Are you able to hotkey more than three abilities in Me2 and Me3 on PC?
Yes you can assign up to 8 abilities in all three games on PC.
Damn thats cool i need to try the pc versions@@RatchetandClank145
Engineers are, in ME2 and 3 at least, the easy mode of any difficulty setting. I found that aside from Insanity mode I could play almost the entire game without shooting, certainly there were almost no missions where I needed to pick up ammo, and most of the time didn;t even use a full clip. And while I didn't manage to get through insanity with any class on zero Shepard deaths I definitely suffered the least deaths by far with Engineer. In ME 3 I minimised my weapon load out to put cooldowns at 200% and there's no looking back. What I have observed is many people playing Engineer like a soldier with some neat different abilities and so completely failing to capitalise on the strengths of this class. When fighting geth alongside Tali it's almost comical to just sit and watch as the drones and turret and hacked geth do all the fighting for you, along with the occasional overload to help the minions out.
...So much I would change here but thats just me 🤐
When I play a soldier in ME3, I always fill every weapon slot, becoming a walking armory, ready for any and all encounters.
You're welcome anytime for you ❤️ dog fun video's hippie thank you for those fun video's man.
Vanguard female was my favorite class to I when I playing that class to me fun to me when I flipped that game for I fun 😅 to me.
I'm trying to choose a class for my upcoming canon run w/ my definitive Shepard. It's between Adept, Sentinel, and Vanguard. Leaning towsrds Adept at the moment, since it's the only class with its signature ability in all 3 games.
In the one it is a neccesykrongan one shoot you in melee only biotic can save you 😊
Liara,Garrus and Femshep Adept is God mode in all Mass Effect games on Insanity difficulty. Biotic explosions all over with Liara while Garrus Witham maxed out Sniper rifle just melts enemies. You need to learn from trying.
In short: Shoot stuff. Soldier class was made for Call of Duty kiddies.
In ME3 cryo ammo weakens armour by up to 50% Apply cryo then cloak and incinerate for more damage
For ME1 on insanity the name of the game is crowd control. Never leave home without Liara. Lift and singularity are your best friend on Liara. You can also get lift and throw. Between the two of you you will have a hard time getting pinched and you can also easy mode Saren at the end of the game. Then you just need to be cautious for the long long range situations because you'll take more damage than you think.
In ME1 as an Adept with Liara having two Singularity’s makes the game boring hell it even bugs out the Saren fight
I know that Soldier is considered to be vanilla and default but It was my first class, almost all my Shepards are soldiers because I love using all the weapons instead of relying on biotic or tech skills and also because I usually play as a tank in most RPGs
Cool vid, fam. Might be a super lame question, but what’s the song that starts at 2:47 and runs till about 4:46? I love that uplifting synthwave vibe. Thanks!
Of course you are playing this on PC. IT's different when it comes to Console PS5, and XBox. Still, PC does have more of the better MOD'S for set up.... That being said??? You right, The sniper rifle? IS Bad *SS!!! Leveled up, at 10. along with the BEST attachments. I can one shot shields, and All enemies and drop them like a bad habit. Couple this with a "pause" look around capability??? And its like a slowmo, A Matrix move! OFF THE HOOK!!! The only problematic charter's I had an issue with? Is the Krogan, and the Red Geth... They? Will run up on you like a bull!. Oh my goodness, *Thats with the game set on the highest setting. Talk about insane. Great share!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👌 4:22
Yup, soldier was my first class, I was also actually a soldier at the time so it fit well, to this day it's my favorite class and I sweep the map in MP
I’ve played Sentinel a lot and still learned some neat stuff in this video, thank you for sharing and for boosting the most underrated class. I know no one asked but I always play Sentinel on my main playthroughs (sometimes another biotic class in 1). My headcanon is that his biotics were made stronger by the beacons and mind-melds with asari and that when Cerberus rebuilt him as basically a cyborg he was from then out a sort of technomancer. The sentinel tankiness embodies that bit from the Spectre induction speech, “our first, and last, line of defense.” Take care fellow Commaners Shepard, this one hopes the Enkindlers shine the light of their wisdom and compassion upon you all.
Just saying, armor piercing ammo let's you merc just about anything on the battlefield and destroy everything yourself in ME3. God forbid you max out Garrus' AP ammo and Turian Rebel skills and give the extra 50% damage to his assault rifles. You can have him doing over 250% weapons damage, plus your 175% weapons damage not counting Adrenaline Rush, plus your other squad mate's abilities.... Utter carnage
I prefer just using armor piercing ammo mods with cryo or disruptor ammo. 🤷♂️
AP ammo is my all around go to in ME2, paired with the mattock and everything dies incredibly quickly. In ME3 however I find the concussion shot amplification on incendiary ammo to be better for dropping enemies as fast as possible, just shoot them til they start burning then hit them with a detonation from the concussive shot. AP not having an effective concussion amplification really hinders it as a bonus ability, I usually end up taking energy drain instead to deal with shields and to bolster my survivability without slowing cooldowns. The only time I take AP in ME3 is if I want a ‘no power’ challenge run.
Between soldier and infiltrator which would you say is better for full trilogy insanity run?
Honestly Soldier was the easiest for me! Having access to the heaviest weapons, multiple ammo powers later in the trilogy, and picking up which squad mates are best for the mission, rather than making up for the class weakness makes it the easiest for me!
I did infiltrator on 1-3 but restarted my run because infiltrator was too easy in ME3 even on insanity. It gets huge time dilation with snipers. Buy the black widow, max out time dilation and headshot dmg then stealth 90% dmg + 40% sniper dmg and the game becomes trivial. Plus there is a trick where you can go max dmg on all abilities with no cooldown and with stealth activated your recharge will be based on your stealth cooldown. Not the ability used during stealth. Plus you can get a sniper shot in and an ability before stealth ends. Just take your shot then use an ability immediately after. The damage is absurd.
Boring lame class to play
Adept was difficult it's been a long time since I finished trilogy 16years but Adept was the most difficult for me. Infiltrator is piece of cake,it's boring cuz how easy is the game with him😉
id give an 8/10 but i be agreein
Other tip. I used carnage or other extremely powerful power and focus only on damaged and tactical cloak in recharge speed. Activate tactical clock use the power and shoot. It deal a ton of damaged and isted of waiting for 16 or x amount of seconds to recharge that power it only takes the time of tactical cloak to recharge
I went with a super tanky build. 50% damage reduction with tech armor+40% damage reduction on fortification and 15% damage reduction for 30 or 40 sec after killing an enemy with heavy mele for a total of 105% damage reduction and carrying really devastating fire power. James with thypon Lv5 max in assault rifle damage boost. Ashley with squad ammo power and James as well.
It was carnage everywhere go on insanity
Colin Robinson
Thank you! This one was a pain in the butt! Very helpful video.
Why am I not getting the trophy for me3 I’ve completed it twice on insanity never changed
So one of the main reasons I’ve seen for this trophy not popping, is accidentally changing it at some time, or people trying the “Refusal” ending, as this ending was DLC it doesn’t trigger the achievement
May be the most powerful class in ME2/3 on insanity. Drone is fantastic crowd control and they have the best defense stripping and with cryo blast an additional solid crowd control, and in 3 they get combos. ME1 they felt pretty meh.
Loved using the Engineer! The tech combos in 3 really made my playthrough so much easier!
Huh, I wonder if I am just a weirdo with my insanity ME3 Soldier playstyle. It is such a power-dependent playstyle that I used Inferno Armor (30% power damage, 30% power cooldown), which I then upgraded later to Cerberus Spirit Armor. I max Incendiary Ammo first with explosive ammo, max Concussive Shot with Amplification, then max Cryo Ammo for squadmates. I get Energy Drain as my bonus power for shield and barrier takedown as well as for shield recharge. Adrenaline Rush is then specced for shield regen and survivability. The play style is thus: use high fire rate weapon and slap Incendiary Ammo on it, put Cryo ammo on squadmates. If the enemy is Shielded or Barriered or maybe a synth, full automatic on its face with Energy Drain on cooldown (may change to Disruptor Ammo if it's a tough enemy). If Armored or Red Health, full automatic with Concussive Shot on cooldown. With 200% cooldown reduction, ED is 2.3 sec cooldown and CS at 1.4 sec, so that's a lot of DPS. As for emergency survivability, if there is a shielded/barriered/synth, hit it with an ED to not only 100% shields but also 40% damage reduction. If none, use AR to get some shields, damage reduction, and time dilation to run to cover before counterattacking.
@@NeightrixPrime You're right about the individual squad mates' ammo powers are more powerful. In fact, they were TOO powerful for my taste, especially Garrus' AP. They made the squad mates better killers than me. I am the MC damn it! :p Besides, Cryo has Damage Combo. Also, Incendiary Ammo's Explosive Burst is additional AoE 100 damage per proc so the more times it procs the better the DPS that's why it's better for higher fire rate weapons
That's one of the worst custom shepards I've ever seen. What in the f.
A pretty solid video I think. would be curious to know your thoughts on armor preferences for each class. vanguard is my favorite class in ME3, and I love the charge + nova combo. my build uses upgrades for shield strength, power damage and power cooldown reduction. I generally don't use the split nova, or the penetrating nova, as I find they do less damage overall, and it isn't that hard to strip protections like shields or barriers with energy drain as an extra power, or an ammo power from a squadmate.
Really appreciate the comment! I’ll see if I can do a video for the best armor for all the classes! Currently working on my Cyberpunk guides but this sounds like such a good idea, I can’t believe I left it out of my guides originally!
@@ShadowSmith14 honestly, I don't think I have seen anyone cover armor in any class guides. So it would be interesting to see a good breakdown of them. Good luck with your cyberpunk videos though! Have not played it, (got turned off by the launch issues), but I might in the future. Looks pretty fun. 👍 If they are anything like your ME videos they will be good.
Sentinel is probably the strongest class in all 3 games if you build them right.
The Sentinel becomes an absolute monster in all 3 games, completely agree!
2nd least played, though. Only engineer is less played.
Having a tanky Warp/Throw spammer that can ALSO strip shields easily with Overload feels broken AF by part 3. Pair with James to further shield/health boost + group incendiary, asserting total DOMINANCE. 😎
Sentinel's more strong, but vanguard is fun
ME1 Infiltrator: I am gonna hide behind my squadmates and shoot the enemy with pistol, because geth pulse rifle is more effective than the best sniper rifle. ME2 Inflitrator: hold the Emperor in your heart, but focus on your enemy at hand.
great video. thank u
Glad you liked it! Be sure to tune in for my Cyberpunk guides as they start to come out!
