I might be looking at things from the wrong angle, but maybe an additional point could be Plagueis wanted to maintain that for Sidious to grow stronger, and learn more, it had to be from him. In this way, Plagueis could control how quickly his apprentice grew in power, and keep him hungry for knowledge only his master could offer. In some ways, Plagueis may have believed that the Rule of Two had already ended, and Palpatine would never try to kill him, but maybe even just subconsciously, he wanted to keep Sidious at the appropriate level to be able to do what was expected, and to not be able to threaten the Dark Lord, in turn. If Plagueis hadn't also poured over those holocrons, then he might not know what they would tell Sidious, and thus Palpatine might think it okay to attack. Beyond that, I can see some value in Damask's logic. There shouldn't have been THAT MANY Sith holocrons made after Darth Bane, and while the older ones could certainly be valuable, some of those ideas would be what led to other Sith mistakes; mistakes Plagueis wouldn't want to repeat. Bane wouldn't have had to rebuild the Sith if they weren't broken, and the Sith of Tenebrous', Plagueis', and Sidious' time weren't even the same as the lollies of Bane and Zannah, or later examples, so if they weren't going to explain midi-chlorion manipulation, or better political acumen, then that info wasn't immediately necessary. Useful, but only in the proper measure, and after a better foundation was already built.
While I do like the suggestion, I do believe it was more Plagueis' belief that they were partners, equals as they both had roles to play in the overthrowing of the Jedi Order. My believe is that he realized the danger of Sith holocrons. We have seen how dangerous they are through people like Atris, who fell to the dark side having been drawn in by their voices. It might have been Plagueis' belief that Palpatine needed to learn the restraint and patience more than he needed to know about the ways of the force
I think it’s an interesting balance, because on the one hand like you point out in the video, this made cities more independent and less focused on just trying to rehash old theories, but on the other hand, this is the same mentality that Darth bane fought against because of the fact that the Jedi during the brotherhood of darkness era were so radically against the use of historic knowledge. I also think that in part by not allowing city views and histories, it would allow Plagueis to shape Sidious as the new generation of Sith Lord, moving forward since Plagueis wanted to get away from the rule of two. Yet as shown before, Plagueis’s unwillingness to continue the rule of two and his pride, in thinking that he could control and manipulate Sidious blinded him to his apprentice, his own machinations, allowing for Sidious to kill his master

Well, I would say it worked out perfectly for Palpatine without the extra knowledge considering how much he achieved as an emperor. Seems like it's a testament to Plagueis's own wisdom and understanding of his pupil. There is a chance that showing Sidious all of those ancient holocrons may have actually clouded him with too much information as a young student of the dark side. Sidious himself is both a psychopath and malignant narcissist, he may have become far more arrogant too quickly and not be able to have taken his time appropriately to become the horrific master of the dark side that he becomes.
I agree. It was a brilliant move. Too often neophyte or overly arrogant Sith would try to pick up right where the knowledge gained from holocrons and Sith spirits left off. In doing this, they would start their rise to power at a point where Jedi could defeat them because it was the Jedi who defeated the ones who left the knowledge behind this new Sith. Only when new Sith charted a new path did they ever overcome the Jedi.
I think Plagueis did well to teach Sidious this way even though it put his own teachings at risk. Sidious would be full aware of bias from any information he received from that point on. But for Plagueis to say this, you know he only wanted his own biased information to be taught to his apprentice Sidious, and not have to worry about his apprentice hearing conflicting information from any past sith lords. At least until Sidious was on his own later on...

Hey there, I want to know if you can place multiple different types of lightsaber crystals in a single lightsabler. as we already know, forexample Darth Maul's double bladed lightsaber had at least three crystals in it so it could function even if it were cut in half. so can you combine different types of crystals, such as a ghost fire crystal along with the lava crystal or crate dragon crystal. and what would be the result of that, combining different types of lightsaber crystal together in a single handle. Plagueis wanted Sidious to be something new, something original. To do that one cannot rely so much on the Paths that have come before. A Sith is a Spiritual Warrior of Passion like an Artist. An Artist has to find their own way without letting someone train that originality out of them. Without letting someone show them how to make every stroke of the brush. Like a Musician they have to discover their own unique sound. That is what Sidious did discover his own unique and terrifying sound.
The answer would be: Yes, it was wise of Plagueis to forbid Palpatine on his academic study of the dark side since experience is the ultimate teacher and if a teacher with vast experience can guide the student directly on the path being studied even the better, now if the teacher was not available to the student then the academic study is the only way to illuminate the path that he must follow and the rest the student must learn on his own based on experience. Palpatine was fortunate for having a teacher that could teach him directly how to walk the path of the dark side 😎🤙
The Force is what it is, ever flowing, ever changing. The past can teach what it is, but it is the present that defines the future. You can preserve the past to learn from it. Yet like time it can eventually erode to naught. That is the lesson here.
@The stupendous Wave. An episode on the most secretive and Holocron packed planet in the entirety of the Sith Empire. Humm, let me think? Yes, please! There is also the fact that the ancient Sith were overpowered when compared to their modern contemporaries. Sidious took years, decades to build up the wherewithal to withstand that level of power to even begin experimenting. Which is why he became so powerful that he could, in fact, cheat death. And I've always had the impression that he did learn how to influence the Midichlorians. His absolute obsession with Darkside knowledge would not have allowed him to let that opportunity pass him by. Though his temperament was very very different to Plagus, so he would have used it in a different manner. I suspect it had to do with him imbuing his clones with his present level of power, because cloning is notoriously unreliable when it comes to passing on Force ability.
I like this idea. I also think they could have used the fact that for all the power those ancient sith lords had, they all perished at the hands of the jedi. Instead now the Sith need to learn from the strength of the new system, then once they gain mastery they can look back to learn techniques, but not fall victim to their failed ideology
Plagius was a fool about many things and would have failed as emperor but he was perfectly suited for being Palpatines teacher, he had a great deal of wisdom and knowledge to share and was smart in his teaching methods yet he had glaring flaws that showed sideous what not to become
Stupendous wave great keepers of the library of jedi and sith knowledge, i am here in search of knowledge where not much is known of it, it's been talked about in some circles a little bit. But is there anyway to seek more answers and deeper knowledge of "Luthen Rael" as a former jedi knight and his potential Padawan kleya. Thank you for your time in this.
Morning all Sith Lords and Jedi Masters I believe what Plaguies did in his teachings that even Our Emperor Palpatine Lord Sidious about his teachings was in with great respect to an important degree of brilliance because Plaguies showed his great wisdom in this on why he was Darth Plaguies the Wise
The ancient sith traditions were destroyed with Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious. He believes that the traditional ties are no longer useful. Since they implement a scientific approach than sorcery. Which to me is very fascinating.
Because their over confidence and greed and fears wrecked each and every plan of theirs. And look at how Sidious ruled the Empire to ruin... It takes two to rule as a Sith and Vader had no intention of killing Sidious since he was all he had left
If Sideous had not been such a genius in his own right his development as a Sith would have been crippled by his master’s lack of imagination. It’s notable that he only became more than just a politician with force powers once Plagueis was out of his way. Plagueis was simply too much of a Muun technocrat to operate as a true Sith Lord.
This suggests that Sidious had little to pass on to Maul, Dooku, or Vader. Maul died too soon to make use of this knowledge. Dooku must have had a library that answered his questions. So it was Vader who suffered from this knowledge not getting passed down. Indeed, Sidious, like the Jedi Masters, did not teach Vader much about the Force.
I think part of it was to slow palpatines growth because the rule of 2 dictates that palpatines goal is to kill his teacher......thats something that never made sense to me....the sith seek power for their own ends so why would they shorten their life by teaching someone to kill him
So I kinda see a paradox, the whole "why build up the concept of the past when he's gonna try and remove me" but if we assume Plagueis kept that bit about the sith from Sidious it seems he figured it out. Plus we are to assume the single biggest manipulator in star wars lore didn't peak at everything he could from older sith? Unlikely unless your gonna say "well he didn't pick all that up after sidious offed plagueis".
Hi. Not knowing a whole lot about Darth Plagueis (I gotta read that novel about him) I've come to like him quite a bit. Even though he seemed quite stupid to put himself in the position that led to his death (once again, I may not have all the facts) Putting that aside though, I think he was a hell of a good teacher. Allowing young Palps not to start messing with the old Sith holocrons was a wise move; especially when he told him why. There "here and now" thing resonated with me as the way to go. Also, I've been meaning to tell you for sometime that I think "The Stupendous Wave" is prolly become my fave Star Wars channel. I think it was the first one I ever found and was always good, but then I felt you kinda slipped and the content didn't have the same appeal or draw for me personally. But, again for me, you really caught my interest again to the point where I usually watch all your content. I don't know if it's because the channel's focus has changed or because maybe you kinda stay away from Dizzney's "stone cold dead" Star Wars or yer just intune with the pulse of your viewers, but anyways WELL DONE! That is the lesson here.
Zygoula please 😊
Control of information is one of the greatest advantages you can have
Whats the name of the music that plays in the beginning?

I feel like this era of Jedi and Sith don’t compare to the old republic lol! Those guys back then were beyond powerful!
Ooo yes please give us an entry about zygula!
Please do a vid on Zygula!
This was an informative video
King plagues is alive behide everything
I would like a holocron on the strange world you mentioned
Yes...i need a video on Zygula
Stupendous wave great keepers of the library of jedi and sith knowledge, i am here in search of knowledge where not much is known of it, it's been talked about in some circles a little bit. But is there anyway to seek more answers and deeper knowledge of "Luthen Rael" as a former jedi knight and his potential Padawan kleya. Thank you for your time in this.
What do you think would have happened had the Lost tribe of the sith encountered plagueis or palpatine?
Yes more Sith holocrons please.
I cast my vote for the video on Zygula.
Please leave a with planet review iceberg
Let me see that zygula lore video
Morning all Sith Lords and Jedi Masters I believe what Plaguies did in his teachings that even Our Emperor Palpatine Lord Sidious about his teachings was in with great respect to an important degree of brilliance because Plaguies showed his great wisdom in this on why he was Darth Plaguies the Wise
I humble request a video on zygula
The ancient sith traditions were destroyed with Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious. He believes that the traditional ties are no longer useful. Since they implement a scientific approach than sorcery. Which to me is very fascinating.
What Sidious learned on how to enslave himself in the dark, to a wise Jedi one can use the exact opposite to free themselves into the light.
Do Saigula
I also like in the future that "ship" is discovered, I still believe it's sentiant
Holocron on "zygula" or however it's spelled
Because their over confidence and greed and fears wrecked each and every plan of theirs. And look at how Sidious ruled the Empire to ruin... It takes two to rule as a Sith and Vader had no intention of killing Sidious since he was all he had left
If Sideous had not been such a genius in his own right his development as a Sith would have been crippled by his master’s lack of imagination. It’s notable that he only became more than just a politician with force powers once Plagueis was out of his way. Plagueis was simply too much of a Muun technocrat to operate as a true Sith Lord.
Sorta but in the end his empire just isn’t sustainable and I’m fact probably functions better without him .
I think part of it was to slow palpatines growth because the rule of 2 dictates that palpatines goal is to kill his teacher......thats something that never made sense to me....the sith seek power for their own ends so why would they shorten their life by teaching someone to kill him
Did they make Loki a young plagus that would actually be a fire movie
Loki is a Norse god!!.😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣😭😭
@@michelletort2289 they used his face in this video
So I kinda see a paradox, the whole "why build up the concept of the past when he's gonna try and remove me" but if we assume Plagueis kept that bit about the sith from Sidious it seems he figured it out. Plus we are to assume the single biggest manipulator in star wars lore didn't peak at everything he could from older sith? Unlikely unless your gonna say "well he didn't pick all that up after sidious offed plagueis".
because of their progression. the sith dosent need the ancients.Their vision was simply inadequate for modern galaxy
Like left… zigoula requested… only been following you since you had 20k followers
Yes, I'd like to learn more about that Zaguula place and also Darth Nihlious (I may have mucked up the spelling) Thanks for keeping me interested in SW \m/
Tell me about Zygoula good sir
I would have thought that he would have allowed him to learn from the ancient masters
Zagula
Of course we want a Zygula holocron!
