Reina, you and EVERYONE that are part of what you do are fantastic. I am 62 years old and you youngsters cause me to feel 30, again. I have played the acoustic guitar since I was 4, and I am no where near as good as you or Tony. You both are very good musicians and singers, and I am proud to be a fan of you all. You and Tony are very beautiful young ladies and very nice and are extremely talented. I just started to be a fan about a year ago, and I look forward to hearing and seeing you all. Stay the same, and I am sure that you will go far. I am also very sure that you are going to continue to only get better.
So excited to discover all your brilliant skits and uncategorisable creativity on YT just the last couple of days and now today your amazing music and lovely and talented musician friends. Thank you so much for this gift. 🙏 Can't believe you already toured Europe before I even discovered you 😥though, please come back soon! Right, going off to explore 'Reina del Cid's back catalogue now 🤗
I am 66 and was around when Dylan became so popular and I never thought I would hear another musician who would come along in my life time. Your lyrics remind me a lot of Dylan's songs. You definitely have his type of talent. At least I believe you do. May you and Toni have many, many more years of playing music together.
Reina you and Toni are awesome. I’m 57, I’ve been a musician since I was a little kid. I started on guitar, thank’s🎸dad, and excelled on the trumpet in high school. I learned some on the keyboard during my career in the United States Navy. My 24 year old son and I both play guitar. Not only are you and Toni better than I am on guitar, my son as well, you inspire me to pick up one of my dusty guitars. I need to practice and play more and maybe one day I’ll be 1/2 as good as you and/or Toni. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you.
I had the chance to see her perform live at a show in Phoenix and meet her afterward. Not only incredibly talented but accessible and humble too. My dad, myself, and my daughter are all big RDC fans.
I have been watching her here on TH-cam for years. I have always been glad for the sound quality that she insists on. Good music that always come through clear.
Since discovering Reina and her amazing colleagues and friends a year ago have really enjoyed watching them regularly. I think they reach people of all ages and as I am a bit older but was musical in my youth I watch these great videos with these fantastic natural musicians with such pleasure. Fan in Switzerland.
I always like how you smile when you’re singing. Not between the words, but as you sing them. You and the Other Favorites are so talented. Keep sharing.
Reina and Toni, the best duo out there. You complement each other so well. Are there more technically gifted guitar players and singers out there? No doubt. But do they make better music is the right question. Do they provide what I want? No way!!! You can ace it just sitting on a couch like no one else. It blows me away. And I like it when you add some other musicians, too. Reina is the leader. I have no suggestions for perfection.
You are an impressive poet. You and Tony, Mary Spender, Adam Neely, and Paola Hermosin help me remain human, sane and inspired. I've been a technical writer for the past 45 years and I'm very impressed with your word craft. I know from my experience writing how much effort must go into your writing. My favorites are Bernadette and Library Girl. I hope you two are happy in LA, not for me, but de gustibus non disputandum est.
You are very close to G-D… you have a very strong sense of TRUTH! Thanks for the opportunity to hear from behind the scenes. I’m thinking about coming back to the world of You Tube I really didn’t have much knowledge or clarity or decor or equipment when I recorded a few videos. At the time I was mourning my Mother’s death and since I have no children I wanted to leave something behind for after I’m gone. My apologies if I have been trespassing on your property here just really psyched about finding you and your partner! God bless you as he/she has!
Reina del Cid is amazing- awesome video as always. I recently purchased a Shure MV-7 mic for voiceover work and it is excellent...as are all Shure products...and Reina del Cid!
I can say that a lot of people are anxious for you and your friends to once again play in live venues. Especially if you should play some shows in the southwest of the US. As always I look forward to your musical adventures.
Im continually impressed by the musical talent in RDC and their orbit of friends. They remind me of clusters of folkies and singer-songwriters of the 1990’s (Patti Larkin, John Gorka, Nancy Griffith), and the Laurel Canyon artists from c. 1968-75, all contributing to the shared experience.
Nice cozy little chat going on there Reina. Very enjoyable catching up with your itinerary and personal updates re your kit. Thank you for this. Deffo worth watching. 😊😊😊
Nice interview. I look forward to when you return to Europe (particularly Belgium). I was lined-up to see you in Brussels and got trapped at work that night - next time. Best wishes!
Two years ago and its like you are so new to me, if it wasn’t for the Star Trek Technobabble clip you did which I first saw on Facebook Reels a couple of weeks ago I would still be in the dark about you....
Whenever crusty curmudgeons in my generation -- and I'm in my mid-50s, so there are a-plenty -- grouse about how "no one makes good music anymore," I immediately introduce them to Reina del Cid, Mary Spender, and many other current-day extraordinary and original musical artists (wish I could list them all, but a very brief starter list beyond Reina del Cid and Mary Spender includes: Yvette Young, Billy Strings, Melanie Faye, Marcus King, Juno The Artist, The Other Favorites [Josh Turner & Carson McKee], Ariel Posen, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, and so, so many more). Just pay a little attention here and there, my fellow fiftysomethings and older, and you shall see.
Thank you from one of your "mid-50's" cohort. I watched Mary Spender for the FIRST time a moment ago at your (a strangers!) recommendation. Cannot BELIEVE her rendition (along with her accompanying guitarist) of that Fleetwood Mac song. Wow! Thank you Boomer Dell (Though at 53 I'm not a Boomer, I'm an "X".)
I love all the songs you all do. It seems it doesn't matter wether it is an old Country song of Hank Williams or a pop song like Killer Queen. It all sounds great and so original. I hope i can visit the four of you sometime in Holland. That would be awesome!!
Saying again! Would love to see these kids at our local music festival, "Blissfest". More than lives up to its name for everyone! It is set up here in N.Michigan and just the beauty of where it's at, true bliss! If you ladies are intrested get ahold of Blissfest organization. They are always searching for awsome talent like you guys!
I love that you do some covers. I especially like your take on old songs I’ve been listening to for a long time. In 50 years there will be young musicians doing your songs. It’s a way to keep the old songs going without having to listen to the original version for ever. For example Tennessee Waltz had many covers including Norah Jones, Patti Page, and y’all. I love your originals as well.
I like your music and you`re right, its a good idea to start doing podcasts or talk a little before singing the songs. I`m from L.A. If you get a chance check out Donut King in Gardena on Western ave. It was called The Big Donut when I was a kid growing up in the 60`s and 70`s. Great donuts and iconic big donut on the roof. Man i`m missing Los Angeles. So much to see and do there. All the best, Dan
Beautiful musicians, pretty earthstanding and lots of good chorus and choice in it! Bernadette is as well my favorite! Love your voices and playin! Xanks to U all 💞 Hope to see U anyhow! Any place?
Hope to see you at the Cains Ballroom or the Old Lady on Brady someday. Cains is said to be the best venue in the south. You will have to let me know if it's true
I'd love it if you all were to tour in England, once this madness is over! 🤞🏻 Having just commented, I then went to another video where you were in Bush Hall, alas I had never heard of you at that point, so I hope that you come over again. 😀
Great ... please come also to The Netherlands. Oosterpoort Groningen is great arena. Suzanne Vega, Don McClean, Cat Stevens, James Taylor and a lot of other great singer/songwriters we’re there.
Thanks for sharing your talent. You are very inspiring artist. Into the mystic by van Morrison would be a great cover but I’m sure everyone has a suggestion for you.
If you and Toni like and enjoy what you are doing so what you guys sound great to me, If you like what you do you will never work a day in your life, thanks for the great tunes best wishes kenny.
Ah shoot- just found tour schedule for 2022- all East Coast - I’m up on North Vancouver Island in BC- you guys doing any shows on West coast any time soon??? For a cover song request i’d like to suggest “Home for a rest” by Spirit of the West- even if you don’t cover it I think you’ll enjoy it (trying to learn it myself on my newly acquired Sigma guitar that I’m absolutely loving)
Great Great Reina! Maybe could you play Johnny Cash, Big river by example.. Love your song up the creek you played at bluegrass brunch. Great song. And many other
suggestions: (1) Shenandoah (included in The Gateway Singers in Hi Fi Medley upload); (2) You Belong to Me (see live performance by Fiona Apple & Nickel Creek)
Absolute huge fan of yours. I'm curious where you studied music? I realize some musicians don't actually study music and have a natural talent. I wish I had studied music and I think I have a little bit of talent which may be natural but I am lacking so much. You and Toni bring a lot of joy to many ears and souls.
Sweet sweet Elle. You are smart and talented. Loved watching you over the years.
Reina, you and EVERYONE that are part of what you do are fantastic.

My four fav TH-cam musicians are Reina, Toni, Josh and Carson. They all inspire me every day. Thanks for doing what you do guys! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
They’re like The Avengers of music. Each one is a superhero and together they’re even more amazing.
They'll all be in Amsterdam on November 15, and guess who bought tickets for the show today!
Yep
I agree. Carson’s brother is pretty good as well. I don’t remember his name.
a seriously talented young woman.

at 120 mark .... Reina , WE LOVE THE COVER SONGS !
Keep them coming !

Reina, I stumbled across your page 2 years ago and have been hooked. You’re very inspiring keep up the good work. 😎
Someday come on down through N.C. Love to see y'all.
All I can say is keep doing what your doing. It's working for me. Great music!!!
You bring me back to my youth and the Band I was in. Thank you for being you!!!! Musician and member of ASCAP.
Love it.
I can say that a lot of people are anxious for you and your friends to once again play in live venues. Especially if you should play some shows in the southwest of the US. As always I look forward to your musical adventures.

Come to Toronto.
I will join as well. Being myself an admirer of instruments, I watch her songs with my kids quite often.
Thank you for sharing!
GREAT photo of you at the end of the video. We look forward to seeing you all live someday in SW Texas hopefully.

Avez-vous remarqué que la photo avec Reina et Toni est subime 🙂 ...?
You girls should try out AGT for exposure. If you do, do the Einstein, 1905. That will stick to the audience's heart.
