    Hi Lexi, I think everyone can appreciate the amount of research, thought, and planning that went into this powder comparison video. It was a true labour of love and no doubt a huge project for you to undertake to help your subscribers with such a comprehensive video. It is not a bit surprising that you were once a teacher, as you walk us through all of these powder products in a detailed, understandable way. At my age, a very slight dusting after SPF is all I need. I only wear concealer where needed. I have both WA powers, and pressed versions of Chantecaille and Sisley. All I need. Never miss a video, as they are always so helpful. You’re the best! ❤️

    Lexi, this is absolutely outstanding! I cannot even imagine the time and effort you put into this video. I’ve already saved it to favorites! Thank you SO much.💓
    I have mostly used Chantecaille’s loose, talc-free powder as well as their HD Perfecting Powder in the compact. Recently I acquired Westman Atelier Vital Pressed in BOTH Pink Bubble and Creme. Gorgeousness! The WA ones are new to me, so I’m experimenting with brush application and so forth. The packaging couldn’t be more luxe.
    Also I have two backups of Chantecaille’s Eclat Doux. I think I purchased those during a sale. I agree I prefer Eclat Doux in winter. It’s hard to explain …but even Louisiana winter! Lol
    In addition, I’m experimenting with Gucci’s Eclat Soleil Bronzer in 01. You’ve got me hooked! I can finally wear bronzer and look okay! I dare to say “healthier!” It’s even great on my eyelids! I just pull out my new Sisley 22 Sheer Raspberry Lipstick, and my small world is a better place! Thanks again!
    The Surratt Diaphane loose powder looks incredible, but for now I’m ecstatic.🥰

      I am so happy to hear all of this Tammy! I totally agree about the Chantecaille Eclat Doux. I don't know why it is better in the winter but it just is. Lol! I'm really glad you are enjoying your products so much!

In the first instance I have ordered the Guerlain Meteorites in 2 Clair - I remember in a previous video you compared it to the Pearl Glow one but said the 2 Clair had a bit more pink so that's the one I've gone for. I am so looking forward to trying this. Thank for your extensive review! I’ve used many of these powders. I wish they would make a lighter shade in the Sisley Blur Expert too! Also, ages ago I decided that the By Terry Hyularonic Hydra powder was going to be my big splurge item after I heard such rave reviews. It wasn’t my fave and made my skin look dry and would sit in my pores. I didn’t use it until years later and used a flat top brush and that was such a game changer and my skin looks extra flawless and smooth. Now I’m so in love with it!!❤

      @LexiJong  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! The WA is more matte. It has more of a soft luminosity to it. It gives a great blurring effect and is not very “powdery”. I would put it up there with the Chantecaille and Sisley but I tend to reach for those more still.

    Thank you so much for all your detail and work in this video! I am trying to decide between Westman Atelier pink bubble and Givenchy Viola rose loose powder. Which do you think is better for more dry, mature undereyes and dry skin?

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I honestly think both are good options and you would like both of them but I would go with the Westman Atelier as it is a bit more blurring. I think if you tap a little on under the eye with your finger, that would be the best method and then you can use a soft fluffy brush to sweep away any excess powder.

    Thank you! This was excellent. Météorites was my nightly go-to in the late 80's! WA is intriguing, and lovely, but I'm nervous about regrets, it's so damn expensive. Luckily, they sell it at the pharmacy nearby so I can go compare with my Kosas. The new Anna Sui is intriguing. I just got Kosas (very nice) and want to try the Saie as well. I have the Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder and I'm still trying to make that work.

    Great side by side comparisons Lexi. When it comes to the pink powders, do you think could help with the undertone of a foundation? I have a pink undertone and find very few foundations work for my exact coloring (to me its not a match unless I could use it to cover up a spot on my face without you being able to tell). While I'm not looking for brightening effects, I was thinking the Westman Atelier Powder in Pink Bubble may help just a bit with a foundation undertone that's slightly off. Is that a realistic expectation, or wishful thinking? While it makes sense in theory I don't see any of the setting powders making your face look "pinker" and I prefer he finish of other setting powders I already have like the KGD if it won't help with the undertone. Thank you!

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it will help a little with the undertone of the foundation but it won't be a lot. I have actually tried it myself on a foundation that is a bit too yellow for me and i definitely noticed a difference but it is pretty minimal so it is more of a subtle tint. It won't disguise the shade completely but it will lessen the shade disparity imo.

    Hi Lexi!! I am dying to know which are your favorites to use under the eyes? I hear you mentioning PMG here but do you prefer that to the Westman Atelier? Is there another in the running for that purpose?

    • @LexiJong
      @LexiJong  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think the PMG and the WA are both great under the eye but I love the light pink shade of the WA for under the eye. Performance wise they are pretty comparable in that area. The Givenchy pressed powders are also great under the eye and the new suqqu powders (pressed and loose) are ones I've been reaching for a lot. I like something thin yet blurring on the skin for under the eye. The more "moist" powders can look a bit cakey as time goes on if you are not careful with application and they can gather in my fine lines. I usually tap on with my finger or I've been using the Sonia G Fundamental L brush under the eye.

      Suqqu now has a new powder and I have more info on it here: th-cam.com/video/mYuEVqRSGl8/w-d-xo.html. It's softly blurring with a touch of rosiness but it is a loose powder. For pressed powders, I love the new Chantecaille powder for the holiday (but it has some glow) or Koh Gen Do brightening moisture powder (luminous matte). I love the Sisley Blur Expert in the new 0 shade for under foundation - basically a powder primer that is blurring or their phyto-poudre compacte (matte) but you only need a tiny bit of it so I use a fluffy brush with it.
