    I forgot to mention in the video, the Westman Atelier Powder is refillable. That will definitely help on cost , because it only has 5 grams, you'll run through it much faster than others on the market so I am happy it is refillable. 😁

      Knowing that it’s refillable makes me rationalize buying it now 😂 I was/am so impressed with the WA cream blushes, and I’m on the hunt for a great talc-free powder that also has an elegant look to its packaging, so I believe this may be some holy grail material here!! Thanks so much for the review, and p.s., I am in love with your lipstick and gloss set 💄💋 now! You rock!!

      oOH, I love Kosas,, and let me tell you girl,,, there is a dupe that is hard to find but some sellers still has it, IS THE SAME LIKE KOSAS!!!! I'm 45 and also Kosas and this is the only one that works like a dream to set my undereye area and is : The e.l.f. Cosmetics Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint Finishing Powder comes on pressed powder silver packaging,, YOU WILL NOTE IS THE SAME AS KOSAS!! xoxoxo you welcome ;)

    Thanks for the review, Tara. I always appreciate how detailed you are. I do love the Kosas powder but I'm tempted by the pink shade for brightening under the eye...also THANK YOU for being honest about the Westman Atelier eye pods...everyone was reviewing them and saying how great they are. Bought them and they truly have no color! Natural and soft is one thing, no color is another.

    • @TaraLynnbeauty
      @TaraLynnbeauty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Those eye pods are not worth it. I don't get the hype at all🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I'm glad I'm not the only one, lol. Absolutely no pigment, and totally a waste of money🤪 I think the next sale, I'm going to get the pink powder. I'm so curious 😁 Thanks for watching😁❤️ Really appreciate it 😊

      Michele Wang compared the colors, and the translucent brightened more than the pink, but that was on her skin tone. I’m curious as well.

    Thanks for your honest review Tara. It would be good to add that the WA powder has skincare actives; vitamin C, Probiotic and quinoa seed extracts. I just bought the powder in Crème and I LOVE IT. I have dry skin and I’m over 40 and it’s perfect.

    Thanks for your review Tara. I personally did not like CTilbury powder for my dry skin it was too drying on my skin. Only powder I use on my face is Hourglass ⌛️ & Huda Beauty powder is actually is okay on my skin too just can’t use too much. I am all for trying new powders that are dry skin friendly so I am def going to try the WA powder. Thanks 😊 for the review beautiful 🤩

    I have bought it - not received it yet as it's coming from the US to the UK.
    For me, this is a great handbag powder. It's small and sturdy as well as being a beautiful powder. I'm hoping it's going to be an ideal touch up powder, especially during the summer months.
    It's ridiculous that it cost more than double than the Kosas and that there's significantly less product! But, I suppose that's the price we pay for luxury products.
    I hope y'all are having a wonderful time. You'll be a bronzed/golden goddess when you return 😉😍
    Sending you lots and lots of love 💗💗⭐💗💗⭐💗💗

    Thank you, Tara Lynn. I very much appreciate your honest and detailed review. I am going to try the Kosas powder. I purchased the WA powders, which I like, but I am wary of the line. It has been very hit or miss for me. I agree with you about the eyeshadows; they creased and dried out--and they were so expensive. Thank you again; I enjoy your channel.

    I got the powder and feel it blurs without being drying and I, like you, didn’t care for the famous Chantecaille blur powder, for the same reasons. I also use so little powder that in spite of the high cost, this will take me a few years to go through, I’m quite sure.. I may try the Kosas at some point! ❤️ thanks Tara💙

    Tara, dear, thank you for your review, sorry I dint always comment! I love WA as a brand and her minimalistic approach, I love the luxurious feel of packaging , etc, I do. So I’m in love with these new powders, I love how undetectable they are on my skin, but yet the effect is amazing. So i am very happy with them and with the fact that these are refillable. Thanks Tara! I really appreciate the honesty, as always. I bought this powder in translucent and pink bubble, and I actually prefer the Pat McGrath. Although the PM is more powdery, it seems to last longer and I find it easier to apply. I feel as though I have to work harder to get the WA powder onto my brush. And I don’t like the packaging- it’s really hard to open and very heavy. So my feelings are mixed - I agree that it’s not really worth the money 💗

    Hi Tara. I don’t have the WA and don’t think I will pick it up for now. Maybe on sale I want to try the pink one. I have a sample of the Kosas powder from Sephora but the color is the wrong one. I can still make it work and you are correct on how good it is. It sits beautifully on my skin. It beats Charlotte Tilbury by a mile and, I did a side by side, and the Kosas even looks better than my former holy grail Hourglass. I haven’t done a side by side with Pat Mcgrath yet which is my current favorite. That’s next!

  • @kankan572

    I’m so picky too but the CT is too drying under my eyes. I do not want to spend that on a powder but I may have to 😬 only one I have found so far that doesn’t look dry is the nars light reflecting but it doesn’t brighten. Painted by Spencer was saying to put a small layer of Huda or something similar over the nars for brightening … sounds scary lol… also have u compared the sephora microsmooth powder to the kosas ? Iv heard they are dupes

    I love pretty compacts and luxury makeup..I knew I wanted this from day 1 when I saw it..small enough to carry around and a real eye catcher when using out for touchups..south Florida summers are brutal so theres a lot of touching up day and night..I’m going to purchase it from Sephora in case the shade isn’t right..I think it releases on the 7th or 9th

    I am SO curious to hear your thoughts. I had an interesting experience wirh this powder. I'm going to keep testing it out though as I really wanted to love this product 🥰

    • @DanielleNicoleMakeup
      @DanielleNicoleMakeup 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am so happy it worked well for you! I think my current fav is still the Danessa Myricks Balm Powder for my 30+ oily dehydrated acne prone skin. That shit is the bomb and gets better throughout the day although I am tempted to buy the Kosas Powder now but it's sold out. I also prefer a damp sponge. I wish there was a way to prevent that film it gets, other than using tape after. Would be a great invention like a spray or something eh? I have Nikkua Joy's Powder on my list to try too. Beautiful as always Tara!

      I absolutely love my Hourglass Translucent Setting Powder 😁 I love it for multiple reasons, the packaging is genius, I NEVER waste the product , it doesn't fly out all over my counter and make a mess lol. But, the actual Powder itself is lightweight, yet effective. It's my ride or die 😁❤️

  • @renatarosa8163

    Thanks for your honest and detailed review of this Westman Atelier (WA) powder,Tara 😊👍🏻 !Yes the WA packaging is lovely !I like that the compacts are weighty but they are so hard to open😩 !So far I ❤️❤️❤️all the WA products that I have tried (foundation,blush ,contour and highlight sticks ,lip gloss ,peau de peche ,peau de soleil,peau de rose and especially ❤️❤️❤️peau de sante )but I have not tried the eye pods yet !I did buy the single eye pod in Tabac but I haven’t tried it yet !I will make it a point to try it and see if it is worth the $$$! I like my compacts to look pretty but I am more interested if the actual powder or product delivers !I am interested in this powder(bubble pink one )for the skincare benefits and the blurring effect !So you have me thinking 💭 if I should get the Kosas which also has skin care benefits instead of this WA powder ?I do find that WA and Chantecaille are super overpriced compared to Chanel ,Guerlain ,YSL and Dior !!!!!!Everyone rants and raves about the Chantecaille blurring powder (from Hummingbird collection)but I find it goes on too dark and it blurs and matifies the skin somewhat 😞!!!!I was quite disappointed ☹️with it !!!!! I rarely reach for it instead I usually choose from the following powders to get a blurred effect or to set my makeup ; the Dior Backstage powder no powder or. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish or Guerlain pressed powder or the Guerlain Pearls #2 or the Gucci beauty powder!All equally beautiful and get the job done !I ❤️that you are completely honest when you review any of the luxury brands ,there is no bias in your reviews for any one of the luxury brands !!!I also ❤️that you mention what is great about them and what is not and you compare them to other reasonably priced quality brands !What is great about your reviews is the fact that you show if this luxury brand product is worth spending the heavy price tag for it !💰Thanks again and have a relaxing and restful 😎vacation !PS If it would be possible to do more reviews of Guerlain ,Chantecaille skincare and makeup products!Thanks 😘

    Oh I don’t know if I’m anymore informed on this powder. I absolutely LOVE the Pat McGrath and have purchased it multiple times (blurring but not oil controlling). The Chanticaille and the Kosas both have the same exact effect on my skin, I hate them. They do nothing for my oily t-zone. No blurring and no oil control.
    But on the other hand, I LOVE the Charlotte Tilbury, it blurs beautifully and refined my texture. So I don’t know where that would leave me with the Westman powder. 🤷🏻‍♀️😣

    • @blushbrains645
      @blushbrains645 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the same experience with Kosas, it looks terrible on my skin. And I also love the Charlotte Tilbury for the gorgeous blurry effects. It doesn’t really control the oils super well, but I can deal with that. I have to try the Pat one and I will go in store for the this one to touch the textures before I spend so much on a powder 😅

    This is why i love your channel so much dear Tara, you're looking so beautiful🤩🤩🤩🤩, but you are beautiful double when speaking always so honest about products, and so detailed, i love it!!! I'm 51, almost 52 and no way i put the Chantecaille or the CT under my eyes. I love the Chantecaille one, but only T-zone area. The CT can be dry on my face, depends on the season, since i use so much Chantecaille skincare stuff my face and neck are a really bit better, less dry. The Kosas powder i CAN use under the eyes as well as the PMG one. Not that i tried them all, i grow under them than. The Gucci, i like, only as last step for the face, never first step because of the fragrance, but that is with so much brands from our Europe here, Tara, i don't like Chanel and all the others NOT for continue putting that stupid fragrance in their stuff. I don't always press, i like more the lightest way with, as you demonstrated a very soft squirrel brush, and than i also love my Hourglass loose translucent setting powder so much as well as all Koh Gen Do powders, also under the eyes, but i put very much work in my concealer. Use a very little bit, or first the corrector, washing my hands with Cliniqe Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser every time, and when nescessary a very thin layer, doing the same, i hate tons of concealer and corrector no matter how tired i look, when my technique with using a very little bit Chanel or CT corrector and/or a very thin concealer combined with washing hands very well in between, than less concealer, i don't want to look 10 years older because i am a cake than, Tara. After i do this very carefully i mostly use a soft squirrel brush, the one you showed, or the wooden one from the Wayne Goss set, to only lightly touch with an (under eye) powder, and i only trust PMG, Hourglass, Kosas and Koh Gen Do with that. But love to learn, i learned so much here the lasts years!!! I would love to hear, i do a guess, but would love to see you powder top 5!!! Sending you lots of love, have a wonderful day dear Tara!!!!!😘😘😘😘

    Hi! Have you tried Jane iredales pure pressed based powder?

    Agree this is a beautiful powder. However, I got crazy oily after a couple of hours. Does the Kosas do the same thing? Looking for a good talc free powder.

      Yes, the Kosas does that on me as well. Within a few hours, my oils pop through. I've been in Florida for the past week and my skin gets extra shiny here. I've been applying Powder before Foundation and after and it works great and holds up longer than applying Powder after Foundation. It's definitely a nice trick😁💕

      Great tip! I will try applying powder before and after! Thanks, Tara❤️

      @Kathy Butcher P.S. I just bought the new Milk Makeup Mattifying Primer to see if that helps my oils throughout the day here in the humidity, I'll definitely keep you posted. My order just arrived today and I haven't used it yet. But, i will be doing a GRWM video here at our beach condo, I thought it would be fun to film a video here while on vacation 😁 So I'll definitely be using that and a few new products I've picked up since I arrived😉

    For all those who want a powder foundation why not give the ELF Powder foundation a try? Best bluring powder in my opinion is the EGLIPS Blur Bowder Pact (the black one). Each costs about $ 11.
    by the way: tried the Charlotte Tilbury one which I absolutely found horrible!

      Her under eye got more coverage where we have that darkened dip that is our difficult spot to cover, while also looking smoother in my opinion with the Kosas powder. Under eyes has been the most challenging thing to find the right products for as I’ve moved into my 40’s so this was so very helpful. I do believe there are drugstore powders that are almost as good but she probably has tried them all already and settled on the Kosas for very good reason, so I’m picking that one up too.

    Thanks for a great review. It doesn’t impress me by your thoughts and opinions, therefore I will pass. I have the kosas, CT, and the Chantecaille all which I love. 😊❤
