  • The book is ALWAYS better than the show/movie right? So is that true with Bridgerton? This regency romance is HUGELY popular on Netflix (and season 3 just came out). It's based on a book series of the same name, Bridgerton, by Julie Quinn.
So let's read the first two Bridgerton books together and see if they are as good (if not better) than the TV show, because spoiler I love the show!

Interesting, I, too, have been holding off on reading the book series because I was afraid I wouldn't enjoy them nearly as much as the show. But...now I'm definitely going to give them a chance. ❤ I love how you've found having followed the show actually enhanced your enjoyment of the books. Episodes are works of art, visually stunning, and I look forward to envisioning characters and scenes within the books. In regards to the "side characters " it seems a bit of a letdownto know their stories are not really developed. They are often my most beloved characters in a number of my favorite book series. For example, ACOTAR!

Personally I have to think of a ‘movie adaptation’ and the book as separate entities because otherwise I can’t enjoy them, my sister’s keeper for example is a good movie but I can’t associate it with the book in my mind or the fact they changed the ending pisses me off no end

Out of curiousity (genuinely no hate), why buy books if you're unlikely to reread them? Seems like libraries are your perfect jam. Don't need to spend any money, and you never have to move with all those heavy books!
I love rereading, so the books i own my favourites, but i hate having to lug around such heavy objects and books are so expensive (acknowledgement that im australian, and canadian books may be cheaper idk)

I read a lot of books on KU and from the library too! I’m not sure why I like having the physical book so much actually 😂 but I do regularly lend them out to friends and share my books with my mom
