I love the perfect book smell This is also very specific but when a book has the perfect size, amount, and floppiness to turn the page really slow without looking stupid or tearing

I still have the Kobo Vox. Still works but absolutely useless. It will not even open to anything as the OS is outdated and Kobo no longer supports it, have not for years.

Here in England we have a bunch of 99p ($1.77 Canadian dollars) kindle books that change every month, and there are also daily deals which also include 99p deals. For this reason alone I have not subscribed to KU, and quite a few of the books I have bought have not been KU books, so i would still need to buy if i wanted to read them. Sometimes you'll get newer releases for 99p too. Does Canada not have these kinds of deals?. I think books are typically cheaper here in the uk, i just looked up here for the wrong reasons on amazon and it would be about $15.

I loved this video ❤and Allie being a tripod is everything 😂 I sometimes struggle with my eyes (I get dizzy from epilepsy, so i can't read physical/kindle when I'm feeling weaker) and what I do to try and read is audiobooks, otherwise I do get in a slump because I cannot physically read. And I find that when the narrators are good, it really can get me back from a slump and then when I'm able to read again, I'm okay. 😊

I definitely can do without the stickers. Everything else I’m pretty flexible with.

Have you considered starting your own book club? I remember another video in which you mentioned one you wanted to join but it didn't work out.

Audiobooks are a good idea if sitting and reading is difficult right now.

I’ve started using this app called streaks and have set myself a goal to read an eBook for 10 minutes and a physical for 10 minutes a day; I’ve found that’s helped me I also really enjoyed the House of Night series but I know what you mean about feeling ick’s - I felt the same thing when I watched the original law and order, SVU and midsomer murders from the start with some of the wording around trans and gay people

The Marked series is a hot mess. It's like someone looked at My Immortal and thought "I could turn that into a real book but worse". If anyone's curious about how the series proceeds, Alizee has a whole series of videos on her channel going through each book.

loved this video! I get out of reading slumps by reading a really easy and short book and normally it gives me momentum to keep reading. Or I switch to audiobooks while I crochet!

Any suggestions? I’m a first time writer, I found a deep passion for writing and as I am lesbian, I wanted to give my community the books they deserve. I’d like to disclose that as the author, I will probably be biased since it’s my own creation so please keep in mind that getting my book to a wanting audience is my goal and I’ll be transparent by that but genuinely, I could see myself benching it on my period in a heartbeat. Though my book is not yet published, it’s at page 327 out of I have no idea how many thousands of pages there will be and I would love to get some ideas or suggestions of what the community would like to read! Short context without major spoilers, it’s a dark romance wlw with a tad bit of thriller and physiological stuff sprinkled in as a bonus. The relationship between the characters is rather intense, meant to keep the reader on their toes, any thoughts? I’d love to hear them! It’ll be published under the name of Hit me like a woman which might give off some hints of the direction it’s going to sass its way over to.
