YES!! I just implemented the "no phone on the sofa rule" for me for January, so that when I am with my husband, I am with him and not looking at my phone.
@ it really does make a difference. We are old enough to remember “pre-cell phone” days 😆. My husband and I realized that we use to converse more when phones were not so readily available.
SO many great lessons! 2024 was the first time since my kids were born that I didn't see either of them on Christmas. They both live out of state and so were with their significant others. I realized that I am grateful that they have other people in their lives who love them and want them to be part of their family, even if that means I don't get to see them every holiday. I also love the one about how intentional hard things built confidence. As someone who has always played it safe and stayed on the path, I have been coming to that same realization this past year and working toward some big changes, and so it was affirming to hear you talk about it!
Thank you! I had my first Thanksgiving without my kids last year and was not a fan, but like you, happy for them. I’m glad you are going to intentionally do some hard things!! It will change you for the better and will make you braver:)
OMG, a must listen to video! So many lessons that many of us have had to learn the hard way. Very helpful to have all these lessons summed up in one place. Thank you @carrieoncoaching! 🤗 In 2024, I learned to focus on myself and that I can only change myself, not others. And then there's "my business and none of my business." 🤣
Wow, a powerful and helpful video. Several items applied to me! Kids not home, get outside, let toxic people go & don’t worry about them-it’s not my fault! I tried avocado toast & I love it! Never wear jeans-they’re so uncomfortable & that’s ok. I’m retired-I should be comfortable. Hard things-I’ll work on that. Relationships-time heals. Yes, why did I worry so much-wasted time. Protein is power! Yes! My hair was thinning, had no energy-no protein! Six months ago started counting protein grams! I’m like a new person. Thank you so much
I am so happy you enjoyed it!! I remember the first time I had avocado toast!! So happy I took that first bite! Give that intentional hard thing a try:))
Hi Carrie, I haven't commented in a while, but I wanted to say that these are great insights from you, as always. I still like that your advice is always practical and realistic. I bought an electronic standing/sitting desk that you recommended a couple of months ago, and I love it-- it has helped my back tremendously to not be sitting all the time. I also bought the underdesk treadmill you recommended; I haven't set it up yet, but I will soon. I will be starting my own TH-cam content in 2025-- I am sure it is a lot of work, but it seems very rewarding as well. p.s. There is still time to audition for the lead in The Lynda Carter Story.
Hey there! I'm so happy to see you again! I always appreciate your insights. Yes, get that desk treadmill set up! LIFE CHANGING!!! I am so excited about your channel! I am working on a video right now about my TH-cam journey, so keep an eye out for that. And LOL about Lynda Carter. I have heard that a lot lately:). She was my hero growing up and she had a place at the beach in Delaware where I grew up.
When I was a kid, I told everyone I was allergic to pineapples instead of the truth, which was that I just didn't like pineapples. Fast forward several years and I LOVE them.. Even when I'm not buying, I ltake time to smell a few perfect ones in the produce section.
What about you? What did you learn in 2024 that changed your life?
A lesson learned: be present. It is so easy to be distracted. Wherever I am, or whoever I am with-be there! Fully and completely.

Isn’t it interesting how our tastes change?
I remember doing the jeans aerobics 😂
Lol! Fun times!!
What about decluttering to help q family member who hoards??
That is hard. If they are asking, there is not issue, but if not, you may need to bring in professional help to help them through the process.
Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda jeans fit me well. I am 66.
I remember Gloria Vanderbilt jeans!! I should try them again.
Lee jeans😊
I haven't worn Lee's for a while. Maybe I should try them again!
