Do you think its a good idea to drive distracted (which is an offence even in Ireland) just to create content for your channel? What if you have an accident or hurt someone by doing this? End of channel isn't it. Holding your camera out of the car while driving omg what are you doing? Let's hope the police don't have internet there or you could be in for a tasty fine. TH-cam vloggers are not as far as I am aware, above the law.

think it's because it's so hard to access, places like dublin, belfast, derry, galway, mayo, kerry and cork all have rail access while donegal has no rail access at all

The public service element of the route from Donegal to Dublin also means that people can reach the county from +/- 200 destinations around the world. That's really important for a county that's as isolated from public transport as Donegal happens to be.

I'm from Glasgow, but I'm first generation Donegal and my family is actually from the parish the airport is in. I remember the airport before it was an airport. The views are gorgeous and I saw several of my families houses. When they extended the airport, they had to flatten a huge sand dune that was called Hell!

The ATR-42 will always have a special place in my heart. My father flew for Command Airways in the northeast US which was the North American launch customer for the type. The first delivery (N140DD) was the second one built. It was used as a test craft before being delivered to Command in early 1986.

The saint's name on our plane was St. Columba, which oddly enough is the old Gaelic name for my husband's family. Its sometimes also known as St. Columbine. My husband's family came from the old Irish tribe of the Malcoombe. So it was quite a coincidence.

The first Aer Lingus aircraft was a de havilland dragon named Islor eagle in English ,when it’s service life was over it was eventually hung in the terminal building were it languished for many years until two retired Aer Lingus captains set about making it airworthy again ,I just missed a flight on it by moments as it taxied out to the runway.
All other aircraft were named after saints and the airline is ranked among the safest worldwide

I have taken several flights on Stobart and find them an excellent regional airline. The crew has always been amazing. Lancaster, PA (airport about 90 minutes from Baltimore, MD) has Free parking. That airport only has four or five commercial flights a day (two to Baltimore and two to Pittsburgh, PA). For being the busiest Metro DC airport, Baltimore-Washington International airport offers off site parking at $4 USD a day. That is simialr to what Donegal Airport offers. It is a Southwest focus city, so it is a Low cost hub for the region.

Groningen is a little city in the north of the Netherlands and is definitly worth visiting. Groningen airport is a little airport with just a few charters but has daily flights to London and Copenhagen (AIS Airlines Bae 32 (one way €99)). Hopefully in the future you will try it once😁

I think you'd be interested in some of the US Essential Air Service (EAS) routes. Particularly in the state of Alaska. The vast majority of the towns and cities in the arctic and western sections of the state have no road, rail, or water connections at all. Everything must come in via air.

I think parking @ YYT St. John's International (Canada) is cheaper than Donegal. ATR's of any description are rare in Canada but flying to St. Pierre (France) from Newfoundland they use the ATR 42 which looks like a school bus with wings. They also fly ATR 42's out of Edmonton to the Arctic. The background you provided to the Donegal experience was very well done. Cheers.

Hi Paul. I live on the Isles of Scilly, and parking at At Mary's airport is free. Flights to the mainland are operated by Skybus on Twin Otters to Lands End or Newquay, also summer flights go to Exeter. They are probably the dearest cost per mile in the world!

Hi Paul - being Irish in Manchester U.K. myself, I’m delighted to see that you got to visit and enjoy County Donegal, a beautiful part of Ireland, that along with Northern Ireland, has a strong connection with Scotland and especially the Scottish Isles - flying into Carrickfin is a much better alternative than going by coach from Dublin via Ballyshannon into Donegal Town, (a horrible 5 hours ordeal that is not recommended from my own personal experience) or from Letterkenny to Dublin - the other way to reach Donegal is to get the train from Dublin Connolly to Sligo and get a Bus Éireann/Transport for Ireland coach to Donegal Town 🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪❤️❤️❤️❤️
