    Ex Emirates cabin crew here! 🙋‍♀️ it seems some of you are confused about the breakfast, as the menu states this is just a continental breakfast, just something light as it’s only a 7 hour flight hence why it’s not a full hot breakfast service. Admittedly the breakfast doesn’t look as nice with the plastic wrappings on the bread, it does degrade it a little bit, but the continental breakfast isn’t supposed to be anything spectacular when you’re being served a full 3 course meal just a few hours later.

    The black nozzle is where the fuel is pumped out if they need to dump fuel. The aircraft will have a max landing weight and would likely be over that during the early stages of the flight. Usually only found on wide body longhaul aircraft as smaller aircraft like A320 or B737 are unlikely to be overweight when they take off. Fuel is typically dumped at 15,000 feet or above. It will then vaporise before any liquid reaches the ground. The coloured smoke you see from military display aircraft is coloured diesel injected into the hot exhaust. That does fall to the ground in droplets. Don't ever put your washing out to dry if the Red Arrows are displaying nearby!

    I've flown from France to NZ and back via Dubai twice during the pandemic now, all flights in economy in the 777s bar one in the A380. With the flights mostly empty it's been wonderful in economy, plenty of room to lie down, very attentive crew, great food, super quick service. I'll miss it post covid for sure.

    Have your tried this since this was filmed which was right at the peak of everything Covid so probably why breakfast was the way it was, low touch and no cabin staff touching your food perhaps. Suspect now would be a different story.

    Agree with your comments about airports these days - problem is they are built as shopping malls - the planes and the gates are a bit of an inconvenience - that’s why we don’t see the planes until the very last minute - it’s all about the retail and hospitality.
    Rememberer the old days of Windows onto the apron - or observation decks? Not now! That valuable retail space.
    Shame!

    Etihad would be considered the national airline of the UAE. Although Emirates have used that title in past promotional material. Being based in the capital, Etihad is the national airline. Great video :)

    • @blepala
      @blepala 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well actually they both are. Emirates was the first flag carrier and is still the biggest airline in the UAE. Ethiad made by the sheikh of Abu Dhabi to become a second flag carrier. Plus Emirates has the country's name in them . That last one was nonsensical but the rest are all true

    Thats interesting that you didn't get lounge access. I understand not getting chauffer service but you should've gotten the rest of the perks of being in Business Class. I have researched this as I upgraded to business class from economy using miles for a future trip. I hope this isn't the case.
    This was from the Emirates website FAQ
    " What do I get when I upgrade a booking using Skywards Miles"
    ALL THE BENEFITS OF THE CLASS OF TRAVEL TO WHICH YOU HAVE UPGRADED. This includes extra baggage allowance, lounge access, and Chauffer-drive, where available (Chauffer-drive service should be requested at least 48 hours before flight departure).
    Please note that the fare conditions of your original ticket continue to apply at all times. For example, if there are any fees or charges applicable to your original ticket, these will continue to apply even after upgrading with Miles.
    Effective 1 March 2019, new Chauffer-drive service reservations are not available in conjuction with Skywards Business and First Class Classic Rewards and Economy to Business class Upgrades.

      That’s accurate but those don’t apply to cheap upgrades with cash at online check in. Upgrading in advance with miles, you should be okay 😊

    Love your videos but as a former resident of Dubai I have to tell you that Emirates, despite its name, is not the national airline of the UAE. That is Etihad. Emirates is the national carrier of the Emirate of Dubai.

    • @Paul_Lucas
      @Paul_Lucas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Emirates and Etihad are considered joint flag carriers of the UAE, but with Emirates being the bigger and older airline, there’s really only one national carrier, which is Emirates.

    Jesus loves. So much he died for our sins and resurrected on the third day. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God.There’s not a single thing we can do to save ourselves for we are not saved by our works but by faith. Recognize that you need Jesus to be saved and without him you are going to hell. Giveyour life to Jesus. Confess and repent from your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and believe with all your heart and you will be saved. Jesus came to heal the sick not perfect so we all need him. Follow him.
